“I have to tell this story .God was in the Midst.I was feeling depressed.I decided to take a bus ride to Lynnwood .When I got on the bus I sat next to a distinguished Gentlemen .He placed an order on the phone.He ordered LinguineFried Artichokes,Italian Sausage with Onions,Green Peppers with Marinara Sauce.Itcwas cooked in Olive Oil.I had 25.00 and I decided I was taking myself on a bus ride to cheer me up.I was looking for an Italian Restaurant.I asked the Gentleman where he was ordering his food.The restaurant was at the last stop.He was so nice.Mice people can be hard to find in Cali.When I walked into the family owned restaurant.What I loved most was a picture ofmy favorite singer Frank Sinatra autographed.It brought back memories as an eleven year old being on the set of Ocean Eleven. My Uncle Olon Godare a Understudy for Sammy Davis Jr.after he lost his eye in a car accident.I helped stack the money up in the back of the armored truck.The food was excellent.I felt like I was in Italy.Tge service was impeccable.The atmosphere was full of yuppies and was so conservative and I kept thinking at one point.This Restaurant should be in Beverly Hills.The food was to die for.They gave me so much food ,I ate it for 3 days.I have not stopped thinking about this restaurant for 3 years .As of Saturday.M6 daughter and my grandson and I are going there..PLEASE MAKE THIS RESTAURANT A REGUKAR PLACE.it lifted my spirits ,brought back good memories .Uncle Frank and Uncle Sammy and Uncle dino,and Uncle Peter and Uncle Joey RIP.Thanks for yoir superior restaurant.This will not be my last time .So for all of you reading this post.Put his place on your bucket list.I can still feel the Spiritual uplift.This restaurant was good for my soul and spirit.Thanks La Pasta.Dietary restrictions: They have Chef specials .I just called and told them I wanted Artichokes Linguine Italian sausage with Green peppers and onions cooked with Olive Oil with marinara sauce.The Chefs is cooking it on Saturday .The customer was 20.00 and it is worth it.“

“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere.However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

“A very pretty friend and I decided to try Bestia on a Thursday at 5pm. After arriving and entering an outdoor patio that leads into the indoor seating, we couldn't help notice the bright blue wall, nicely trimmed tree, outdoor string lights all coming together to make a quiet eating experience but my pretty woman friend wanted us to experience the inside. Inside was livelier, more people, closely positioned tables,and an open kitchen facing the eating area. Cool modern music that's not too loud. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the coconut red chili oil scallops garnished with herbs and a slice of strawberry. I was pleased with the combination of flavors. Then we shared the bone marrow pasta, which was packed with savory flavors and interesting soft textures. It was delicious. Of course, we had to try the herb ceasar salad everyone raves about when talking about Bestia, and the hype is all true. We then shared a marguarita pizza and let me say this, despite the overly salted tomato sauce, the napolitano style crust elevated the rest of the pizza ingredients. I had old sunglasses: a tequila blanco cocktail with sweet citrus flavors all well balanced, I couldn't just have 1. My pretty friend had unsweetened ice tea, which was refreshing with a subtle fruit flavor. For dessert, we shared the chocolate dessert with a crispy sweet and salty crust that complimented the rich thick chocolate mouse that was just the right amount of sweet. “An authentic Italian pasta place which lives up to the hype. We came after hearing about it from the Worth it series, and was excited to try some of their featured dishes. They broke down their menu and explained how they prepared their pastas. The prices have definitely gone to the pricier side, but I would say it’s worth the quality and portion size. I would definitely recommend trying the salmon and cream dish. Very limited seating, but if you’re lucky enough to get a seat they’ll give you some great bread as well. We loved it, and it’s definitely worth a try.“

“In the summer of 1975, I was only 14, and already a "Busboy extraordinaire"! My family had just moved from East Los Angeles to Monterey Park, and I started working at the best Italian restaurant on the planet, 'Agostino's'. At first, I thought all the beautiful girls were coming in to see me clear dirty dishes off of dirty tables. I later learned it had something to do with the food. And something to do with the restaurants' proximity to Mark Keppel High School. On top of all that. it was Great pizza at an affordable price. I stayed there charming the clientele for about three years. I met members of the M.P. Police, council members, Mayors, and others. I saw my classmates come in with their families, on dates, and in the banquet room after every major school dance. It was a place where you could go have pizza with friends, and not be embarrassed to run into your parents having a nice dinner. It was the hub of all social life in the San Gabriel Valley. I left the restaurant for college in 1978. In 1980, Agostino ("Gus") and Alicia sold the restaurant and went back to Sicily. I hadn't seen them in almost 50 years. A half century! Well, my fellow Monterey Parklandians (is that even a word?), this past weekend my wife says to me: "Remember your wish to step into 1975 and smell the food at Agostino's again"? She then drove me to this small Italian restaurant in the community of Paramount. Inside ..... were Gus & Alicia. The original owners who gave me my first real job so many years ago. The food was as good OR better than I remembered. Just as fresh too. My wife and I split an antipasto salad, a lasagna, and a pizza. Alicia came over to sit with us, we traded hugs & stories. Alicia is as warm and delightful as I remembered her. We didn't spend too much time with Gus, he was busy. Although I believe Gus is still jealous, because Alicia thinks I'm too handsome. Ordered a full pastrami sandwich and spaghetti and meatballs..Upon arrival, i realized that I have been in this place before, about 25 years ago or so.The spaghetti and meatballs was phenomenal, with 3 meatballs, and sauce to spaghetti ratio on point.Pastrami sandwich had the perfect moisture and flavor, just the right amount of mustard, would have like a bit more pickles but still a great sandwich.I hate that I didn't get the names of those who attended to me, but 100% great customer service.Safe to say. This is going to be a must go to for me at least once a month..“

Inside was filled with Italian goodies. They sold alcohol, cookies, bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Towards the back of the restaurant was tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich. Came here for the 1st time with my coworker and we tried the Classic 6' sub with 2 sides. I got the macaroni salad and broccoli salad. The sides tasted ok to me but could be better. The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. “This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price.All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!“

Now I don't gotta drive all the way to Little Tokyo for it. This location is only about 20min (with no traffic ?) from me in the OC!!! Their uni pasta is the best & so is this other dish that my hubby ordered (forgot the name, but it's a bolognese beef stew kind of sauce...it was one of their special item). To start with the dough is hand spun, making it nice and fluffy but not doughy like many others. Crust and undercarriage was crispy not greasy and cooked perfectly. The sauce was perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Plenty of vegetables and perfectly balanced cheese. If you are looking for a great pizza this is definitely the place.
