I had the tri tip with Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread and a cucumber/onion salad with a side of Suela’s signature Hennessy sauce. “INCREDIBLE!! We called on Lady & Larder to help us with a charcuterie “flat lay” for our Spring Fling party of 100 people and they 💯 surpassed our expectations!! We knew nothing about this vendor other than the outstanding reviews we read. The sweetest gentleman showed up at the house early, prepared and got busy right away setting up on the 7’ long dining table. He brought beautiful wood crates to create multiple levels of assorted cheeses & meats, hummus & crudités, nuts & beautifully sliced fruits, multiple types of small crackers & breads… even supplied small jars of honey & dippers as well as small jars of spicy mustards. Gorgeous Protea flowers were carefully placed for the finishing touches. One hour after he arrived… we were blown away with the end result!! Our guests were impressed!! They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. “I love Dave’s! He has lots of great things to buy! He sells at the Redondo beach farmers market and hermosa beach farmers market. I am kind of upset because first of all, they don’t take card at all locations. And second of all, his prices are too much. $7.00 for a small container? I mean, maybe like $5. But I still do recommend to people who have never tried Dave’s before!“

“We had an outstanding experience for our first catered event with LA Spice. The event planner, Andrea, was pleasant and easy to work with. She came and did a site visit to assess the possibilities for the party set up.

A few weeks later we had to change the venue. She was completely unflustered, came back for another site visit and made new suggestions about the set up.

As for the menu, she listened carefully to our parameters, then put together a menu that looked great on paper. She also worked with us to design the party layout including the colors for the table coverings, garden umbrellas, chairs, etc.

On the day of the party, she arrived early to oversee the set up. The catering staff came shortly afterwards and worked in a well orchestrated fashion to put everything together in just about 30 minutes.

The food that had looked good on paper was superb in both appearance and taste. The guests raved about the food long after the party!

The service by the staff of five (Chefs: Conrad & Dante; Servers: Agustin & Dawn; Bartender: Seth) was top-notch — pleasant, professional, attentive, and good humored. Many of our guests complimented us on how we’d found this group for our event.

For the size of our party and the food and service provided, the cost per person was very reasonable and lower than in our past experience with caterers.

We will definitely use LA Spice for future events and would highly recommend them to anyone else.“
