“Boba was pretty tasty. The texture of the pearls was on point (chewy and bouncy). The pearls were also adequately sweet and not bland. They did also give generous portions of boba too, and the only downside was that they added a little too much syrup to the milk tea which made the drinks sweeter. Not too overpowering though. The strawberry Fresca was perfect as it was sweet but not overpowering like at other locations. Overall a nice experience too because you can order so many different food items to pair with your boba and the place was well lit and cheery. Also 3 tables with seating to eat at.“
“I've been a customer at the Northgate Aloh-o, but only recently discovered their Strawberry restaurant, which is conveniently located right next to Safeway. Today I ordered a boba tea on their website but when I got there to pick it up, I realized they'd gotten the order wrong (not a big deal) I was okay with the substitute .. however the guy working tonight was so kind & polite. He went the extra mile and made me another boba free of charge! Thank you“
“This place is adorable and really hit the spot! Yoyo was SO sweet and even gave me free mushroom soup and 2 cookies!!Pros: I really enjoyed meeting Yoyo. $19 for a bento box and bubble tea is a good value, and the meal was satisfying and filling with a lot of variety. I love the colorful, cheery feel inside as well.Cons: The food is 3.5-4 stars, but I’m giving 5 stars for the really kind people who work there and the vibe! The soup was a bit too salty for my taste, and I wish the tuna steak was more rare and had less pepper on it/had more interesting flavoring. It was encrusted with black pepper and salt. I ordered seaweed salad in my Bento box, but got regular salad; salad was good though, so not an issue.I would like to see a few more healthy and vegetarian options here. Overall, I loved the feel of this place and the people running it, so I’ll definitely be back to try more options. Wish I lived closer so I could come here more often!Vegetarian options: I really appreciated that they did not charge extra for oat milk instead of dairy; many places upcharge a lot for this. Otherwise, it is mostly fish and meat centered and vegetarian options are unfortunately limited. I wish they would add veggie gyoza (currently only chicken), a tofu sandwich, and a few other veggie options.“
“I've had my fair share of boba and other crafty teas but Oddcha probably has been the best so far. I'm usually very picky about matcha drinks and Oddcha exceeded my expectations consistently. Love their golden matcha! Also their cheese toppings are delicious!“
“My favorite place for dessert in San Francisco. I love these crepes so much! The staff are so friendly and have creative hands/minds. The crepes are always made fresh and topped with fresh delicious fruit and ice cream. Yum yum!Vegetarian options: Delicious!“
“Literally my favorite place in the city- I have yet to be disappointed by any dish after trying like half the menu. The best part is that instead of braving the brunch crowds on the weekends you can get the brunch dishes any time! Super nice staff and always such an amazing spot“
“This place is the sweetest! The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. Their menu has the most interesting match-ups. Cocoa Bomb vs Avocado Sago turned out to be a classic! The Avocado Sago is truly fabulous!!!Their Signature Fruit Tea is tasty and refreshing.“
“I really like the poplar nectar here!Recommend a large cup of half sugar and pearls for more texture? It’s a must-try especially when the weather is hot~There is also a brown sugar pearl series. I personally prefer to switch from milk to oat milk for a different flavor. I think it is very good. You can also order it hot. It is very warm and satisfying to drink when it is very cold in winter❤️I love Mango Pomelo Sago! When the weather is cold I will order brown sugar flavor hot and change regular milk to oat milk~ I prefer oat milk is the best for me ?“
“The most innovative vegetarian food on Haight Street - at lower than average prices (for San Francisco). I’m a fan.Vegetarian options: Tofu scramble is hearty with generous portions; better than most.Parking: Metered parking out front, free street parking along panhandle one block away.“
“Consistently good drinks with unique seasonal offerings. I’ve been coming to this place for years, and it’s become one of my go-to’s in the city. Recently, I went and ordered 3 of the new drinks on the menu for my friend and I to try. I added boba to 1 of the drinks but later found out it wasn’t included. I didn’t realize while I was still at the place because the drinks were put into a to-go bag. I’m a little disappointed since I paid extra for the boba. I’ll still come back of course, but I’ll double check that my drinks are correct.“
“Has been on my list to try for awhile now and finally had the opportunity to today! Location says the tenderloin but the surrounding area was not too bad. I ordered a jasmine milk tea with boba and loved that the tea flavor tasted high quality, delicate but also strong (sometimes milk teas just taste like milk) , boba was perfectly chewy, and they also use fresh milk (they do have non dairy oat or almond alternatives). They also give you the option to opt for a paper cup to be more sustainable at no cost. The quality of the drink reminded me of places like Asha tea. Would definitely frequent this more often if I lived in the city but now I know this is a solid spot whenever I'm in SF.“
“Ive been on my matcha obsession streak ? we got the boba ice cream, strawberry matcha latte, and matcha float (THEY MADE ONE EXTRA BY MISTAKE SO WE GOT IT FOR FREEE). This is all to prep before our friend goes study abroad in kyoto. Drinks were sooo good and i continued to drink when we get to the park and sunbathe.“
“i've been wanting to try asha tea house for years after my friend raved about their milk tea in berkeley. so glad i got to come on a saturday morning!// ambiance //asha tea house is located near union square/financial district. it's a smaller interior but a really nice ambiance. there's a few tables to enjoy your drinks or pastries and you can see the baristas making your drinks. i like the dim lighting and decor--feels very cozy.// service //the cashier answered my questions about the sweetness of the hong kong milk tea. after we placed our order, our drinks were ready in three minutes// hong kong milk tea (boba, less ice, less sweet) $6.25 //i really liked their hong kong milk tea. the black tea flavor was strong and it was sweetened with condensed milk. i got less sweet because i was worried the condensed milk would make it really sweet, but it actually wasn't much. i enjoyed the less sweet version but i think regular sweet would've been good too! the boba was chewy and a good consistency.// would i reorder/return? //i would come back especially if i was looking for a boba shop in SF that has a nice ambiance and sitting. i think their tea is good quality and strong.“
“Saturday-Wednesday, 11/18/23-11/23/23, Deserting at Bambu Deserts & Drinks in San Francisco. Oh man! This desert shop is so goooood that I went back multiple times to try out their other deserts on the menu. Their pandan jelly, boba, and red tapioca are super soft, fragrant, and refreshing which got me hooked for more.I’ve tried many desert shops in Los Angeles County and Orange County and this desert shop has raised the bar, big time. I have been elated by this experience with Bambu, San Francisco. I’m so blessed. Here are a few desserts I’ve tried for the week that I’m there on my vacation in San Francisco.-Smashed Avocado: Awesome!!! it’s so refreshing and burst of flavors especially with the coffee jelly! Words could not express my feeling with the taste of this dessert!-Pandan waffle: I’ve ordered it to go and after some time, it is still crispy and flavorful which is unexpected.-Bambu favorite: full of the different flavors in the ingredients-Hazelnut Mocha blend: Hazelnut flavored coffee and very smooth.-Fresh coconut pudding: coconut jelly & cream in a real coconut shell with its meat. Amazing texture and flavors that I never had before and it’s so refreshing on a warm day!!!-Mangonada: Wow! Refreshing smoothie with some tang. I can’t believe this Vietnamese dessert shop makes such a great Mexican style smoothie.-Avo-coconut smoothie: I had avocado smoothie before but not with coconut. It’s a great blend that compliment the avocado.-Taro lovers; the pandas jelly and taro were so fresh and tender with the coconut milk made it so refreshing. If you like to taste more of the taro, ask for the 75% sweetness.-Awesome Trio: a classic Vietnamese Che that can’t go wrong. As expected it is delicious and my favorite childhood drink/desert.-Bambu Halo Halo: A Filipino classic desert with so much ingredients that to buy all ingredients, it would cost me over $40 easy. I enjoyed a large cup my way, right away for $9, it’s all worth it and more. The service staffs work fast, were friendly, super nice, and service with a smile each time I’m there.I’ve been eating at so many dessert shops and I think this shop is by far the best of the best with their high quality ingredients!I highly recommend trying this Bambu Desert shop if you are traveling to the San Francisco area like me or if you are local, you must already notice that this is a hidden gems of a dessert shop. Share this information with your friends and family to keep the great desert shop business’ open for your enjoyment for the years to come. Happy desert eating!!!David YoungRestaurant Enthusiast“
“Genuinely surprised that I could still find a drink (+ topping) for less than $4.50, so I really consider it a steal. We just got a classic Assam milk tea + boba and honestly stumbled upon it because it was the closest shop within walking distance (and still open) from the restaurant we ate at. Is it the best drink or boba I've ever had? Definitely not, but it's also not towards the bottom of the scale. I have to say the price to quality ratio is just stellar. The inside was quite big, looks like they have it set up for people to work and hangout there. It wasn't crowded though, probably because we went pretty close to closing time.“
“If you’re looking to get some yummy fresh boba tea then choose Teaspoon! I was impressed for my first time here.Drinks: The boba teas were fresh and light. They both tasted just right, not too sweet, and with great flavors. We tried the taro milk tea and the dirty ube and we would highly recommend both!Atmosphere: It was a charming little place with indoor and outdoor seating available. The place wasn’t too crowded as well and staff were friendly and welcoming.Price: Normal price for these quality drinks! You get what you pay for.Parking: Parking is found in the parking lot area outside of the many shops/restaurants. You don’t have to pay for it either.“
“There was a missing item from my delivery (I think it was a delivery driver problem and not the store's fault), and the manager Samantha was AMAZING she went above and beyond to make sure things were fixed. I really appreciate it, she called me multiple times to make sure the situation was “
“As a Taiwanese I approve of this! The boba is very good and the tea is also very good. There's a combo deal for medium hk milk tea with an egg waffle. We had lychee oolong and hk milk tea with an egg waffle. The waffle is also good. Light and fluffy. They made it right after ordering which makes the crust crunch.“
“One of the only places in an area with mostly hospitals & retirement homes that has hot food other than Tommy's Joynt and the overrated Lemoncello. Great Mango Green Tea with Lychee Jelly. Just as good as Super Cue across town where I grew up. Good Poke Bowls. Amazing croissant. Best one I've had since I was in Switzerland . Best Spam Musubi in the city. Family ran. Nice to see a migrant family be in touch with AI; speak English and become a part of the community in a Sanctuary City. Reminds me of old Americana the old Candy Stores that kids hang out at after school.“
“The best banh mi I've had, made by the friendliest people. The fried tofu sandwich is delicious. I've stopped here twice while doing the SF Crosstown Trail and taken my sandwiches and drinks into Golden Gate Park for a perfect lunch. Will definitely keep coming back!“
“lady luck coffee is a small drink shop in chinatown that serves coffee and boba. definitely more of a takeout spot than a sit-down cafe. the employee working at the time was very sweet and friendly when answering questions about the drink.// iced vanilla latte with whole milk ($5.50) //the latte came in a cute rounded boba cup. it had a good balance of vanilla and espresso.it was sweet, but not too much; i asked and the employee said the drinks here are not too sweet (or as sweet as starbucks) so i did not modify the sweetness.we took our drinks to go and drank them in a nearby park. i enjoyed my drink and would return. prices are reasonable for SF.“
“Excellent drinks made right! You can taste the tea in the tea drinks and the coffee is quality real coffee tasting and not like instant coffee that other places use. The boba is the right texture of soft & chewy with a hint to sweetness. They offer many drinks that are actually dessert like, made with lots of fresh fruit that could fill you up, hence the spoons they offer in addition to straws at the counter. Prices are reasonable and the wait is not bad at all. Easy to order and wide variety to choose from. This is my favorite drink place in the neighborhood. Thank you.“
“They were playing Jung Kook's music video on the front TV and my dog was so happy lol. I love coming here, especially during night time! Definitely recommend lowering your sweetness level in case you're not a fan of sweet drinks. But, overall loved this place!“
“Loved the mango boba with red beans ❤️So delicious and comforting, what’s more is that I paid the price of 1 for 2 with their special discount that day . Too bad there’s no branch here in the L.A. area .Dietary restrictions: With the customized ordering, you can opt to reduce the sugar in your boba drink, I only had 50% of the amount of sugar for my calorie limit. So that’s really great and my boba tasted so yummy , my hubby had one too?“
“Me and my friends ordered Boba tea from zero&. They have an amazing selection of items that you can customise based on your own preferences. I love the coconut, mango tea and the ube taro tea, so flavourful and pretty inexpensive. Their service was very quick and I didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes before I got my “
“Just got a Banana Hojicha here after Skyler answered a few questions. They were friendly and informative in helping me choose between Banana Hojicha or a Hot Honey drink. Everything was fresh! Soft chewy boba??. Thank you, Skyler! ?Dietary restrictions: I can't have dairy.“
“Placed my order at the self-order kiosk at 11:33, walked out the door with my two banh mi (traditional and chicken) 12 minutes later. Very fast and efficient. I asked for no cilantro and extra veg and they kindly obliged very delicious chicken sandwich! The bread to meat to vegetables ratio is my ideal. I love that the bread isn’t thick and dry. I would highly recommend!“
“Randomly picked this boba shop, and I really liked the watermelon strawberry w/ salt cream here—it tasted good, especially with the fresh fruits. The mix of salty and sweet was just right. I chose 25% sweetness, and it was a bit sweet for me. If you're not into sweet stuff, maybe go for a lower sweetness level or you might find it too sugary. But overall, it's a tasty treat with options for different tastes.“
“Came here to try them out after passing by on my way to the Haight. Got one of their tea + cake drinks because it seemed interesting. Ultimately, it was underwhelming. The concept was cool but the execution did not pan out; the cake batter felt thin and was completely overpowered by the matcha to the point it might as well have not been there. The matcha itself was good and delicious though. As for ambiance, there was none. Most of the storefront is hidden away behind a fold up table as if this were still 2020 and the vibe I got from the sole guy working at the time was very "here's your drink, now go". Side note, I love their logo and branding. Its cute and fun. Kudos to whoever came up with it.“
“My 14 years old son Ethan is obsessed with your Boba. He buys everyday after school as he goes to his after school program. Today, he rode his scooter to get all of us someAfternoon boba. His boba fell as he entered the elevator. He went back and told the staff that his boba spilled . He was prepared to buy another one but staff recognized the little black boy in dreads. They gave hîm a free free to replace. He was so happy and I thought I would write a review to just appreciate the amazing staff you have who take care of our kids while we are away. I will make him intern there since he loves your boba so much.Thank you once again and keep up the good service and best Boba in town.“
“I got the seasonal persimmon, osmanthus oolong tea, and fermented rice drink and it was so fragrant and unique. It had strips of persimmon, rather than puree, and they added a fun texture. We also tried the four seasons milk tea with oat milk and oolong jelly, which was very tasty. You can sub almond, soy, or oat milk for most of the drinks. It got very busy, so you might want to order online for pickup if you don't want to wait.“
“we got the picnic box and took it to the park. it was a great deal, convenient, and delicious. we chose the katsu sandos, mix onigiri (1 salmon 1 tuna), and takoyaki for our box, with jasmine milk tea & oolong milk tea. the food came out pretty quickly and it was really good. highly recommend as a little brunch activity with friends!“
“An ice cream experience like no other, which is something that I say of value as a "let's finish dessert?!" type of eater. I love the cute little show of how the rolled ice cream was made, but I do wish that the worker announced the flavors were being made. I think that would draw more attention to the artistry creation of the ice cream that people dismiss as they are so hungry and focused on eating the final product. I wish that there were high chairs for people to sit at to because it was a pretty tight space with the "kitchen" area taking up most of it. I do love that this place has sweet and savory options available for choosing, but it was not advertised much online. I feel like more visibility online about the savory meals would make this place bring in more crowds because you know that you could have a full course meal here. Nonetheless, very good dessert stop for those who want to try this Bay Area dessert staple. I also was in great company. So glad that I got to be around this group of people for my first try of rolled ice cream :) until next time! & thank you to Jason (pictured top right corner) for this one :D“
“The drinks so good but the costumer services they are lazy and don't know which is your order and I'm waiting for more than ten minutes. Don't go early people working in the morning they don't care your order and pretending didn't see you standing there and waiting your order.“
“Stumbled on this in Ross alley . Rushed In and asked for a hot milk tea with boba . She made it For me quickly it was delicious . My friends all wanted one later ! I wasn't sure what to expect because it's not well signed and there appears to be only person working. So don't be in a hurry . Worth the wait though“
“Tried house black (got a glass cup for free!) Wasn't very sweet 5.45 nvm kinda sweet. Good tea flavor. Hardish boba (not as soft as I wanted)11.20.2023. A little confused about the pricing because I think the menu in the store is not updated. Plentea 7.25 (I added honey tapioca for 0.50). I asked for a glass bottle. Plentea is basically a potted plant drink. Tea I believe, topped with milk and crushed oreos. The oreos added a nice cookies n' cream taste and a different texture. Boba was decent, a little on the firm side. Now that I've tried plentea a couple of times, I don't think it makes my favorites list or perhaps I didn't choose the right drinks. A solid boba place, just not my FAVORITE. (I do like the bottles tho).01.16.2024. Regular milk tea with boba. The boba was hardish. I wonder because it was sitting out for a while in the jars? Also got a fruit tea with jelly.03.06.2024. Matcha latte potted plant + boba. YUM. oreo definitely added cookies and cream flavor which was yummy. matcha was stronggg.“
“The mango pomelo sago drink was really good and so much better than I expected. The black tea latte tasted like any other milk tea. The pearls was a bit hard. There is no interaction with the staff; you order on the machine, you wait, and you grab and go.“
“These folk make an interesting between a smoothie place and boba place. I got a pomegranate black tea with boba and it was an interesting mixture of textures and tastes, but I was quickly into it. I’d definitely come back again. Drinks were also relatively cheap, for SF prices. The store is a bit drab and dark. It takes minimalism a degree or two too far.“
“We had the strawberry cheesecake bingsoo and it was amazing! The flavors and textures were insane. The service was great and though it was small inside, it was cozy and clean. We had to join the waitlist outside but luckily they sat us relatively quickly. Be prepared to wait a littleI’ll be back for the bingsoo!!!“
“This is one of the original boba spots in San Francisco and I’ve been coming here since college. They use to also sell candy by the pound but they stopped after their renovations a couple years ago and just stuck with making drinks and snacks which I think a lot of people from San Francisco is use to their drink recipes, there’s a nostalgia there. They open later than most boba places and I think their salt n pepper chicken is one of the best, it’s meaty, crispy, spicy, sweet, and flavorful plus it’s topped off with some fried basil. For drinks I like their oolong milk tea, they make it sweeter and it taste different from all the other boba places i tried. Honestly I haven’t tried I bad drink from this place, their drinks won’t blow you away but every drink they make is solid. The lady that’s always there making our drinks is always really nice too.“
“Stumbled upon an amazing Taiwanese restaurant on Google during my unexpected trip to San Francisco. Must-try dishes include the incredible Popcorn Chicken, classic Braised Pork Over Rice, and delightful Sweet Potato Fries with Plum Powder. The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance, and the friendly staff enhances the overall experience. A must-visit for an authentic taste of Taiwan!“
“I don't care if this place is in the Tenderloin. I walk from da apartment to Da Hot Spot (about a mile, I live in Nob Hill) to get BoBa. Their food is pretty good too. The service is great and friendly. I don't know if the man that makes my boba owns the place, but he takes good care of everyone that walks in like he does own the place. Everything on da menu that I've tried has been good. So go there tomorrow morning and get you a boba breakfast.... That's not a real thing. I made it up. However, if you drink boba for breakfast like I do, then you can call a boba breakfast“
“My friend and I stopped by Mr & Mrs Tea House because it was close to our dinner spot. It's a really small interior (with only 4 bar stools for seating) so it's definitely more of a "grab & go" location. The one thing that really caught my attention is the strong and fragrant aroma of tea that you will inhale as you walk past it. It is such a pleasant tea smell so I knew the tea drinks here had to be good.MR. & MRS. BLACK MILK TEA - 4.40+ 0.50 for boba. I got my drink with less ice and 30% sugar. I wish I got it with 0% sugar so I could get more of the tea flavor since the boba is already sweetened. The tea flavor was strong and good and complemented with the milk well. The portion sizes here are really big, too. I feel like the tea smelled better than it tasted, but I still enjoyed the drink overall.Great boba shop in Inner Richmond to check out if you're craving boba. There's also plenty of good restaurants and Chinese bakeries to check out nearby, too.“
“I like this boba milk tea place in SF I like the colors of it. I like about this Boba milk tea place because it's worth it. It's pretty cheap and the prices under $10 I also like the location of this place it's in Chinatown In SF. I hope they build one in the East bay cities like Oakland, San Leandro, Hayward, Fremont & San Jose. I like their Original Milk Tea without Boba in it it's smoother to drink“
“Was nice that I was told the thing I wanted would take an extra 10 minutes, because they just ran out. I had no problem with that, and it was nice of them to let me know. Wish I was given a spoon though, because I totally forgot I had 紅豆/azuki beans sitting at the bottom, and it was a waste of throwing them away at the end because I couldn't scoop them out. But no big deal. Tea is actually fresh here, and you get your choice of sugar level. No spot to sit down and enjoy, just some chairs to wait to grab your drink.“
“Randomly stumbled upon it when looking for the other Little Sweet location in Union Square. The boba drinks are similar to other Little Sweet locations and the staff is super nice and friendly! One of the staff members told us about the upstairs lounge (which I love!) in the hotel which guests can use. There are couches, chairs, arcade machines, and even giant TVs. Sometimes it's hard to find a cozy, comfortable place in the city where you can have boba and just chill, and so it's awesome that this location offers that right in downtown. I hung out with my friend there and it was a clean, cool spot to catch up!“
“I live one block from this place and my roommates and I have to fight the urge to not buy boba every single day, I have never had a bad drink from this place, it is so affordable and the portions are large ( especially compared to other places in the city). I haven't been to a place as good as Honey B, I will always recommend it.“
“I came here on a Friday night around 9 pm and the wait wasn't too long. We ordered the liquid gold drink (because it's a classic!) and I really liked the roasted tea flavor. A very addicting drink. They have a lot of options on their menu, ability to customize sweetness and ice level, and the option to make your own drink. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their other flavors and boba.“
“This place is a must for boba lovers and matcha lovers. It is a excellent location for a afternoon snack. It is a little bit of a wait because there are so many other people who want some of that good boba. I would highly recommend getting the Ice-cream Boba Egg Puff Waffle because it has the choice for cookies and cream which had a very nice flavour. The Egglet was the best part because it was crispy and tasted extremely better than most places. I would definitely recommend coming here to get a snack!“
“There is something magical about fresh warm bread and cold picked vegetables. I got teriyaki chicken which was delicious. Also tried the bbq pork which was pretty good. Unlike some bahn mi places they didn't overdo the sauces. Will be back! It's a perfect meal after a hike.“
