“Came with my wife and son. We had sardines as an appetizer. Three sardines, which were OK. Then we had the salmon which was excellent. We also had the snapper with shrimp which was also excellent. Waiter excellent. Wait for the order was a bit long but worth the wait.“

A very welcoming staff with authentic dishes ( especially seafood plates) at a reasonable price. The owner, Francisco , wants customers to come, feel like family, eat delicious seafood plates as well as traditional items. Which we did! I highly recommend eating here.“

Service was great and I had a solid burger. Sweet potato fries were super tasty!

Ranch was legit (ranch is very important to me 😆) as were the pickles.

We had some more of the game to watch so I opted to try their cheesecake. FIRE. I might go back just for the cheesecake! No joke.

“We have been going to Heirloom Pizza a few times a year for a while now and have always enjoyed great food and good service. This was until last night. The food was still delicious and the server was good. That was the limit of a good experience. The hostess had a look that we were bothering her by wanting to eat there. We arrived about 7pm and they were busy, but it only took about 10 minutes to be seated. We ordered fairly quickly and then waited for over 50 minutes to have an appetizer to reach our table and another 25 minutes for our main dish. By the time we received our appetizer the restaurant had only 5-6 tables with people still sitting. We understand that it takes a little longer for a deep dish pizza, but well over an hour in unacceptable. In the 50 minutes we saw no less than a dozen or so orders go out the door for pickup orders. I understand they sell pizza and there is likely a large amount of business that doesn't come an stay to eat, but we felt forgotten. If we choose to go back, maybe we should order before arriving.“

“My aunt and uncle own this spot, and let me tell you they didn’t just open a sandwich shop, they opened a hug in food form. The sandwiches are stacked, the flavors hit just right, and everything feels like it was made by people who genuinely care (because, well, they do). I won’t sit here and say it was a Michelin restaurant but that’s one of the things I loved about it, I didn’t feel like I was at just some restaurant, it felt cozy, homely, and instilled a nostalgia that sends one back to their childhood. The food seemed to harbor that enticing warm feeling you could only ever get from a nice home cooked meal, if you’re in the area and want a down to earth diner and a reminiscent food experience, this is the place to go“

I especially liked the Pinot Noir, I have a weakness for a good Central Coast Pinot! I also enjoyed the Grenache and Barbera. We tried a charcuterie board which paired very well with the wine, the spiced pecans were amazing. We will be back!“

“Lots of fun, interesting and unique decor fitting the theme. Service was attentive and articulate, and waters were refilled, but soup wasn't delivered until after the entree. Sadly, the "icelandic cod" in "beer batter" was a sad and rather tasteless and tough piece of fish (maybe it was cod, maybe not) that was in fact served in panko type breadcrumbs, not a "batter" at all. This is "breaded" fish in British terms. And the chips were oven chips, not fried. As Brits excited to be in a town that seems to have about 4 restaurants serving fish and chips, we were disappointed in this offering and next time we go to Monterey we will try one of the other places.“

Side note: the chimichunga was fried on a flat top, not deep fried in a frier“

“Came here while on vacation with my husband for dinner and twice for breakfast. The service was fantastic as well as the food. Fidel was super friendly, kind, and brightened our vacation so much. He is very knowledgeable about the area and wanted to steer us in the right direction when visiting places. His service was outstanding and his team was awesome, too. Next time we vacation in Monterey we hope to see him again! The food, as I mentioned earlier, was fantastic. I got the cauliflower steak and was surprised how good it was. My husband got the award-winning clam chowder bread bowl and he said it was the best he’s ever had. Normally restaurants will load up their chowder with potatoes, but in his bowl, there were plenty of clams. We finished off the night with the chocolate cake and a scoop of ice cream to pair with the wine we brought. Amazing combination.
