“This was the best restaurant I never ate in. Lemme explain. My superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend is in Monterey visiting her sister and bro-in-law there. (Actually they live in Chico, CA but they drove down to Monterey for the weekend.) So, says I, "Why not try Sardine Factory? (I live in Albuquerque, but hey, Diana is my superwonderul-one-in-a-million friend...oops, I already said that... and she is in CA, visiting from Albuquerque). So I called Sardine Factory and spoke to Mary and she took my credit card number and the rest is history. THANK YOU MARY! Diana, my friend, said it was a "10." "Staff was fantatic."in the Conservatory. "The waiter tied a bib" on her. The best meal I ever had... from 1,00 miles away. Mary, you are the sweetest person in the world! But Diana loved it, and that what matters the most. Oh, she had cioppino (see photo) and her sister had "delicious" seafood pasta and her bro in law had sea bass ("very good"). So Mary, and Sardine Factory, you made people very happy this evening. But that is what you do. God bless.“

“What a find! The three of us had an absolutely wonderful experience with a warm reception from the owner, excellent service, cocktails personally delivered by the barman, and a great ambience!
The food was outstanding, and the extensive menu gave each of us plenty of choices. Great cocktail menu as well. The staff was attentive to our food allergies, and responsive to our desires. A delightful evening very much worthy of a repeat visit. As out of town visitors we definitely plan to return!“

“Absolutely must try sushi spot. I have eaten at very fancy sushi places and this place not only beats those fancy places but it does it at such a reasonable price. All the sushi we ate was fresh and big portions. We loved it so much we went back twice on our 3-day road trip! There is an outdoor patio so we were able to bring our dog which was a plus. Also shoutout to the service, it was excellent and the waitresses were so lovely and nice. If we ever pass thru again, we are 1000% stopping by.“

“Being an old-ish Army Vet, I had to try the SOS, as it was the go to breakfast in the 80's Army. I was not disappointed with the flavor or the memories! Great, efficient servers, service and food. 12 stars outta 10 stars! (When the VA appointments send me this way again, I'll definitely be getting my breakfast here!)“

“Ordered 3 sushi rolls and the chicken teriyaki entree. Food was definitely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service can be significantly improved!! Each time we had to call the server to our table if we needed something. Made it a challenge to add more meals to the order if desired.

Overall rating would have been higher if service can improve.“

“Very cute little cafe with top notch Lebanese foods. It's a pretty standard menu and everything we had was quite good. Don't forget to close out with the house made baklava, a great little treat, not too sweet but a good way to wrap up a meal.“

I got the clam chowder in the garlic sourdough bowl I highly recommend them! My wife, Michele got risotto with caramelized onions, shrimp and sole. We had a view of Monterey Bay and some sea lions playing. Our server, Giovanny, was phenomenal! He brought Michele a piece of complimentary cheesecake and a rose for her birthday. 🌹 I had the chocolate creme brûlée. Great start to our mini-vacay in Monterey!“

“I tried something new today, the hot Turkey open face sandwich smothered in a wonderful mushroom gravy. OMG 😱 So good ! And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. With out a doubt the best apple pie I have ever had. And yes they make it from scratch. Great lunch experience today ! I ordered a piece of pie for a friend who is not feeling well and dropped it off to her. Thanks Victorian Corner for such a pleasant atmosphere to have my lunch 🙏.“

We recently had our son and daughter in law’s rehearsal luncheon there and everyone enjoyed the atmosphere, amazing food and drinks. We highly recommend this fine restaurant while visiting Monterey. Excellent Southwest eggs Benedict; chicken fettuccini; fruit salad and Cinnamon toast special with eggs. Chocolate Oreo cake for dessert. Excellent service for a relaxing Sunday. “We were visiting from the San Francisco Bay Area and decided to give La Bahia a try—and we’re so glad we did! We ordered the mahi mahi fish taco, the shrimp taco, and the surf & turf burrito. Everything was cooked to perfection. The shrimp were incredibly juicy and flavorful, the fish was fresh, and the burrito was packed with delicious ingredients and generous portions.
