“I was in the area and started craving some sweets. This was the only bakery open at 7:30PM on a Saturday, and I'm so glad it was! I had their Basque cheesecake and it's one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. It's not super sweet which was super refreshing because I usually go for super sweet desserts.I'm looking forward to coming back earlier in the day so I'll have time to sit down and try their lunch menu.“

“Fournee often has a very long line, but some random weekend mornings, there's no line...and you should definitely jump on the opportunity! The line can be quite long, around the corner which can be quite a wait. My favorites are the cheese bread, croissant, chocolate croissant and ham and cheese croissant....but there are also tons of other delicious goodies there; I just have to stop myself from ordering everything. They also have a bunch of really delicious desserts in the front case which I haven't had a chance to try.“

“I drove 1 hr from San Jose to come over here on Saturday morning. They were busy (have 4 people taking orders) but attentive; you can get in and out in about 5 minutes. I was not disappointed. I ordered so much and there was no way I can get the pastry and bun with good price in San Jose. I really like their curry beef pastry and the nest cake; something I really missed that I could not find in San Jose. I think I will be back once a month to go up there and stock up.“

“Donuts are definitely the best in town! Cute lil dog friendly place in the Laurel/Allendale district. There was an employee who gushed over my frenchie while we were there. Always friendly service. If you haven't had a cronut you will not regret the decision. My favorite is the salted caramel! This delicious box plus a latte for around $30 including a generous tip. I just love this place!“

“I finally got to try Bake Sum! The bakery was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Because of the small standing room, it was sort of hard to tell who was waiting on their order and who was still in line. They also offer few gift items along the wall, including Taiwanese chocolates, matcha powder, greeting cards, and cute shopping bags just to name a few that I saw. There is no seating, but luckily Lake Merritt is close by, and the perfect spot for a picnic. On a Saturday you might also finding seat at the Farmer's Market a block away. We tried the jasmine milk bun, pandan milk bun, ube cookie, and a coffee. It was around 11:30am on a Saturday and they were already low on inventory (when I got to the front I hear them say they JUST ran out of sesame cookies and I ordered one of the last jasmine milk buns). Of everything I tried I liked the jasmine milk bun the most, it was quite fragrant (just the way I like my jasmine flavored things)! These milk buns reminded me of my favorite melon milk buns that I had in Japan. I have no idea if they make them here...but that would be a dream to have that right here in the neighborhood! I will definitely plan on coming earlier next time so I have more of a selection to choose from.“

“It’s a small family business and they try hard. Everything is homemade and it’s made in the store before your eyes. we are thinking about a huge selection of pastry, some of them with some of them savory but all good. Free, huge parking lot, safe neighborhood.“

“I absolutely adore Arzimendi! I've been to this location and the Valencia st location in SF and everytime I go, I am reminded of how much I love it. The baked goods are delicious and affordable. The pizza is divine and it's so fun to see what new slice comes out each day. Arizmendi is also a co-op so I'm happy to support them with my service as much as possible!“

“My 8 year daughter and I were referred here from a social worker at Oakland Children's Hospital. My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac 8months ago. To say she was absolutely pleased with their selections and overall delicious subs is an understatement. “Small cute Bakeshop !! This was my first stop right after I was discharged from the hospital. I heard about the wonderful treats and so glad a made it before they closed ! Clean, cute displays of the items. Friendly service no cash all card which is super convenient. The ratio of milk to caramel to coffee is ideal, the flavors are all completely harmonious and fresh, and the sweetness is outstanding. The design was SPOT on, executed perfectly, the cake itself was maybe the best cake I’ve ever had (and I do not like cake), the frosting was not too sweet, and the service was great.I have never seen my family and friends eat cake like this before. “I've recently relocated to Walnut Creek and discovered this amazing family-owned grocery/resturant, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places. The staff is incredibly friendly and respectful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.Their Persian Sangak bread is lovely, with a perfect balance of softness and crunch. I also enjoyed their Taftoon bread, which was delicious. The Haleem I ordered was incredibly flavorful and satisfying. “My birthday cake came from here this year, and it was magical. It had a passion fruit puree, and the sweet, tangy, acidity balanced perfectly with the rich flavors and delicious frosting of the rest of the cake. It was intricate, delicious, and I've never wanted leftover cake more in my life. Sadly, only one slice survived the night, many people went for seconds.Also, the bread is fantastic. A delicious herb focaccia with a soft interior (perfect with Kerrygold butter), nice crust with sea salt. Ridiculously good bread. “My family stumbled upon this little cupcake shop in Berkeley while on a day trip. There is a good assortment of decadent cupcakes to be had. We tried two (cookies and cream and the red velvet )and they were magnificent! I highly recommend! The shop is small with no sit down options so you must take your treats to go.“

I decided to check it out for myself an I don’t think I’ve had coffee anywhere better than this place. I love their horchata iced coffee, coquito iced coffee, and dark chocolate mocha. Sometimes the Oakland location does not have empanadas so you will have to go to the San Leandro location.“

“This place is amazing! The pastries are so good, the bread has a perfect balance and crumb. I love that the sugar level in the breads is lower than store bought. I buy all my bread there now. Everyday of the week is a different bread feature. The Tuesday bread is perfect for sandwiches and the Sunday bread is perfect for French toast!! It seemed like they poured it from a premade container that was sourced from a local farm and then warmed it up. Both baked goods were fantastic and baked fresh that morning. The Rosemary puff is lovingly described by my friend as a "savory donut" - and for good reason! It has a sourdough base that is both fragrant and flavorful, but not overpowering. It has the perfect amount of sea salt seasoning and rosemary flavor, and just enough oil to make it soft and slightly juicy in the best way possible. It tastes great on its own or with one of the sauces sold at the collective! The pear ginger muffin was also very yummy and fresh with a distinctly citrusy flavor. “Walked into this little shop not knowing exactly what to expect and was blown away by the wonderful aromas and the friendly demeanor of the owner/operator. The menu is much more diverse and encompassing than I imagined. The baked goods are delicious and the packaging is on point as well. I wish I had taken some photos. I will have to return and do just that.The cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie, and the coffee cake are all incredible. “Best mooncakes! They have a wide variety and all very fresh. We like the Lotus seed with double egg yolks. They also have red bean, green tea, sesame, green bean, lotus seed with coconut, durian, and nixed nuts! Small tiny ones are available too. If you purchase 4 of the same kind, they provide a nice tin. While they sell mooncakes year round, the wide variety is only available during autumn. There's usually a line but it moves quickly.“

The food was very tasty. The mochiko chicken was perfectly crispy and the waffle has a great pandan flavor as well. We were not a huge fan of the ube latte, you can't really taste the ube.“

“I cannot express how much I love a dedicated gluten free facility. It makes it so easy for my celiac husband to find tasty treats and drinks. The desserts, particularly the cookies and cupcakes are so good you would never know the difference between non-gluten free items (I say this as someone who eats non gluten free items all the time). Location: the location is in a shopping plaza near sunvalley mall and diablo Valley College. The same plaza with happy lemon. Parking is easy to find in the area. Ambiance: smell of Filipino seniorita bread and baked goods fill the space. However, there is no chairs and tables. It only has space for the tables and chairs. Food: you don't need to travel to Hawaii to eat a good masala. Starbread has a variety of deserts like seniorita bread, mochi donuts, Filipino style donuts like bichu bichu. And masalas. Credit card is accepted if the order is more than 7 dollars. The ube msalas is delicious. Overall, come to this place if you miss Hawaii and want to Try filipino baked goods for a reasonable price.“

“This place has absolutely delicious birria tacos and consomé. This has been the only thing I've ordered from their menu (there's no other place I know of near me that serves these tacos) but I would also like to try their birria quesadillas. They're listed on the menu as "red tacos" and are about $15 for 3 tacos and the consomé is a separate extra cost. When it comes out fresh, the tacos are super cheesy and yummy. The building is very spacious and doesn't get too busy, so I always get to grab a table. In the middle of the restaurant, they display their desserts and pastries such as flan and alfajores. The restaurant is located in the Park and Shop surrounded by a lot of different Asian cuisines, dessert shops, and a grocery store. If you try parking close to the restaurant, that is the area that is the most congested, we always park in the back of the building.“

My son in law said the brownies were the best he has ever had and everyone loved the vegan rice crispie treats. I also purchased a few non vegan Oatmeal raisin cookies which I just loved. We also purchased raspberry jammies MAJOR YUMMY.... they had other fruit but we love raspberry. We had everything to go so I did not eat anything there. The bakery was very clean and well managed.
