“Passing through the area and had to stop as I’ve heard so much about this place. Got the pesto chicken sandwich and blonde bar. The sandwich was amazing, and the bar quite good. Also picked up a side of chorizo and queso to take home. It looked like they had some delicious specials on the board that day too. Everything I heard about it turned out to be true and it was worth the detour to visit.“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

“Simply phenomenal. It takes incredible food, made by kind folks, who love what they do, to lift a stranger's spirit like my own. I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. I was blown away and can't wait to return. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here, yet. Until next time, peace.“

“Nice vibes, convenient location with easy parking, beautiful decor. Service was lacking, but understand there is a labor shortage right now, perhaps that's to blame here. Bodega sando was perfection! Pastries were alright...most looked better than they tasted. I'd say they were good but not great.“

“Javier our server was professional and attentive. We ordered 1 anticucho and 2 fish ceviches. This by far is the best place for Peruvian ceviche in Los Angeles. The fish is tasty and fresh. I am so pleased with sauces, and the quality of the food. This place has replaced my old peruvian restaurant. Make reservations and enjoy this savory feast.“

“626 Ice Cream is a fun and funky and eclectic place. They had music playing outside with small plastic chairs and limited seating inside. Oh and they serve unusual flavored ice cream. They also have non dairy ice cream as well for those that are lactose intolerant. It was quite tasty ice cream and recommended.“

“Guys I literally thought some of the photos must be fake... they're not. I got exquisite latte art (good coffee too!), beautiful plates of delicious food. I have no idea why this place only has 88 reviews, but the 4.8 stars is accurate! On top of that, it's a very cute location. Please try out Old Town Caffe!
We got the Salmon Bagel, Sweet Latte, Ube Frozen drink, and Egg Avocado Toast and they all exceeded expectations :)“

“Love this concept, menu, and all the creative components. All the sandwiches sound delicious, I could’ve gotten the whole menu. As far as execution though, I felt the sandwiches could have had a little more balance to them. I got Jeff’s special, and although tasty, it was more cheese than pastrami and quite oily. I don’t have a problem with getting messy but every other aspect of the sandwich was getting overshadowed by the cheese. Not enough kraut to punch and not enough pastrami to feel like a proper Reuben. Wanted to give them another shot so I got another, the turkey salad sandwich, but after a half it just tasted like a chill cheese frito. I believe in you guys and am sure there’s other delicious stuff on the menu!! I just think the sandwiches are a little out of balance and maybe the owner needs to go back in there and see if procedures/amounts are being followed.“

“@holysaintsbistro is a gem in the wall. The quality of food coming out of their cozy, small kitchen is superb. Kudos to the chefs behind the line. I had the duck breast and lamb steak, and both were spectacular. The sauce the lamb was served with gave it just the slightest edge over the duck.
The only item that did not impress was the yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was smothered in seasoning that diminished any flavor of the fish and completely overpowered it.
Besides that, my dinner was exquisite.“

“Ordered a wrap and the wrap is good at approx $10. I got the free dessert milk thing and it was … really warm, kinda sour, and very unappetizing so I didn’t eat it. It seemed like it was left out for … a while.
But they also have these super cute lights if you check into yelp and the rest of their food was fine. Just don’t get the dessert“

“Delight Pastry is a serious step up. A true gem for anyone who appreciates quality and flavor.
We tried several items, and most were outstanding:
Queen Aman: Absolutely perfect (10/10)
Nutella & Almond Croissant: Rich and flaky (9/10)
Spanakopita Pastry: Super fresh and flavorful (9/10)
Cheese & Ham Croissant: Tasty and well-balanced (8/10)
Custard with Chocolate Chips: Our least favorite, a bit underwhelming (6/10)“

“Focaccia bread was freshly made and warm, and the greens of the salad also very fresh and crisp. The portobello mushroom in the mushroom sandwich was very flavorful. My only reservation is the sun dried tomato spread instead of actual sun dried tomatoes. Very healthy plant based choices.“

“Haven't been here for a couple of years, as the last time we didn't enjoy the company of rats. They didn't even offer to buy in. This last time we went to a different area and the brunch was great. Truly like the croissant style cinnamon rolls and breve. We also had both types of benedicts and they were great.“

“Ordered a small lemon bar ice. Thought $8.50 was a bit pricey for a small. Oh, it's HUGE. It was a meal in and of itself. It was very sweet, and was enough to share with some else really. Would like a smaller size to be available. Hit the spot on a sunny warm afternoon, but I think I'll be skipping supper. 😆“

“Good food, portions & service...“
“Ohhhhhhh so good. I think I met the owner behind the counter, making our lunch. He is making his Armenian grandmother (his tatik) proud. He loves his customers. This is both a catering kitchen and walk-up restaurant with a few tables.
Only three items on the restaurant menu. Got one of everything and split it. You can tell it’s all hand made. The dumplings are flavored perfectly, and maybe a bit of mint on top? On the herbaceous and acidic side, not sweet, but also richer and deeper than a meatball. Can get spicy or regular. Some of the dumplings have crunchy edges. Really unique and tasty. Need 100 more.
The cheesy layered bread was INCREDIBLE. Like. Fly across the country incredible. Flakey, salty, buttery. Melty. Chewy. Crisp. Perfect everywhere.
The salmon sandwich is generous and seasoned well, cooked well, and holds together well. Really really great and I want to go back already.“
“Great local brewery! Highly recommend.“

“Oakobing is a must-try for dessert lovers! After seeing rave reviews across social media, we decided to check it out on a weeknight. It was quiet since we visited late, but that gave us the perfect chance to enjoy our dessert without the usual crowds. We ordered the green tea shaved ice with tiny mochis, and it was delicious. The texture reminded us of Taiwan night market treats, although this is a Korean dessert spot. The shaved ice was delicate and fluffy, offering a light, refreshing sweetness.
The place itself is small but has a bright, modern vibe, and the service was quick and friendly. There’s paid parking available on the side, which is convenient enough. Oakobing specializes in Korean-style shaved ice (bingsoo) with many flavors and milkshake options to choose from. The portions are just right for sharing, making it the perfect spot for a sweet indulgence with friends. If you’re looking for a unique dessert experience, Oakobing won’t disappoint!“
