“Passing through the area and had to stop as I’ve heard so much about this place. Got the pesto chicken sandwich and blonde bar. The sandwich was amazing, and the bar quite good. Also picked up a side of chorizo and queso to take home. It looked like they had some delicious specials on the board that day too. Everything I heard about it turned out to be true and it was worth the detour to visit.“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. “626 Ice Cream is a fun and funky and eclectic place. They had music playing outside with small plastic chairs and limited seating inside. Oh and they serve unusual flavored ice cream. “Love this concept, menu, and all the creative components. All the sandwiches sound delicious, I could’ve gotten the whole menu. As far as execution though, I felt the sandwiches could have had a little more balance to them. I got Jeff’s special, and although tasty, it was more cheese than pastrami and quite oily. I don’t have a problem with getting messy but every other aspect of the sandwich was getting overshadowed by the cheese. Not enough kraut to punch and not enough pastrami to feel like a proper Reuben. Wanted to give them another shot so I got another, the turkey salad sandwich, but after a half it just tasted like a chill cheese frito. I believe in you guys and am sure there’s other delicious stuff on the menu!! I just think the sandwiches are a little out of balance and maybe the owner needs to go back in there and see if procedures/amounts are being followed.“

“@holysaintsbistro is a gem in the wall. The quality of food coming out of their cozy, small kitchen is superb. Kudos to the chefs behind the line. I had the duck breast and lamb steak, and both were spectacular. The sauce the lamb was served with gave it just the slightest edge over the duck.

The only item that did not impress was the yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was smothered in seasoning that diminished any flavor of the fish and completely overpowered it.

Besides that, my dinner was exquisite.“

“Ordered a wrap and the wrap is good at approx $10. I got the free dessert milk thing and it was … really warm, kinda sour, and very unappetizing so I didn’t eat it. It seemed like it was left out for … a while.

But they also have these super cute lights if you check into yelp and the rest of their food was fine. Just don’t get the dessert“

“Ohhhhhhh so good. I think I met the owner behind the counter, making our lunch. He is making his Armenian grandmother (his tatik) proud. He loves his customers. This is both a catering kitchen and walk-up restaurant with a few tables.
Only three items on the restaurant menu. Got one of everything and split it. You can tell it’s all hand made. The dumplings are flavored perfectly, and maybe a bit of mint on top? On the herbaceous and acidic side, not sweet, but also richer and deeper than a meatball. Can get spicy or regular. Some of the dumplings have crunchy edges. Really unique and tasty. Need 100 more.
The cheesy layered bread was INCREDIBLE. Like. Fly across the country incredible. Flakey, salty, buttery. Melty. Chewy. Crisp. Perfect everywhere.
The salmon sandwich is generous and seasoned well, cooked well, and holds together well. Really really great and I want to go back already.“
