“Veggie Garden is one of my absolute favorite vegan Chinese spots, and it’s a place I keep going back to.
One of the best parts is that they can customize everything for allergies and even cater to my Jain dietary restrictions (no onions, no garlic, no potatoes). Since it’s fully vegan, there’s never any concern about hidden ingredients.
I’ve tried a good variety of dishes here, but my favorites are:
• Spring Rolls
• Vegan Hunan Tofu
• Vegan Orange Chicken
• Gobi Manchurian
• Green Thai Curry
• Basil Eggplant
• Basil Fried Rice
I even love passion fruit juice and vegan chocolate raspberry pastry that they offer here.
Every dish is flavorful, satisfying, and made with care. Highly recommend this place whether you’re vegan, Jain, or just someone who loves delicious plant-based food! 🌱🍜“

“Handmade noodles and dumpling. Best siu Mai in the south bay. Everything we ate was very tasty. You cant beat the prices. My new favorite dumpling and handmade noodle get away. Check it out. You won't be disappointed. Beef noodle is on point if you cant decide where to start“

“One of the best and most authentic noodle shops in Mountain View! The flavors are very traditional and really remind me of home — every bite brings back memories. What really stands out is how generous they are with the meats, definitely more than most Chinese noodle places I’ve been to. Everything is legit and absolutely delicious. The service is fast, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended if you’re looking for real, comforting Chinese noodles!“

“A good Chinese restaurant with above average food. We tried the cabbage and pork boiled dumplings, the steamed pork soup dumplings, and the pan fried pork soup dumplings. The pan fried soup dumplings were the best – good flavor, crispy bottoms, and juicy soup inside. The boiled dumplings were only okay. I thought the pork filling for the boiled dumplings was a bit musky, and I found a piece of gristle in one dumpling. The steamed pork soup dumplings could have used more soup but were otherwise fine. We also ordered a side of cucumber salad, which was decent overall but a bit salty and garlicky. The service was brisk and professional. They brought us rice for no extra charge – a nice touch. We thought the atmosphere was pleasant overall, with warm lights and plants.“

“Great shanghainese place. Get the pan fried pork buns 5/5 and the xiao long bao soup dumplings 5/5. The place is small so expect to wait a few minutes during lunch. If you are looking for dumplings and in Mountain View this is the place to try.“

“I had an amazing dining experience at kirin house
The food was absolutely outstanding — the seafood was incredibly fresh, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and every dish was beautifully presented. My personal favorites were the prawns and lobster, cooked to perfection and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for gatherings with family and friends. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal.
If you’re looking for authentic flavors, generous portions, and a memorable dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely worth five stars!“

“Best vegan food in Palo Alto. I eat here as often as I can. FYI, it's cash only for smaller orders. Very highly recommended.“

“This place was amazing! I tried the Kung pao trio with steamed rice and couldn't be happier! They have a house made chili oil with garlic that is to die for! If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend that you stop by and give the place a try!“

“One of the BEST hot pot places I have ever been. The rich and tasty broths of any soup that is made has an intense flavor that makes you come back for more. Anything you add will take a flavor note from the hot pot so decadently you’ll just want to get it coming. They have a wider verity of vegetables, meats, and add ins that you can find at most hot pot places. The only thing strange was peppa pig was playing on the TV, which was very odd for a 8pm friday night.“

“Food was great - piping hot and super tasty. I'm a big fan of orange chicken. Sadly the ambience was terrible - one member of staff was on their break and was sat in the middle of the restaurant watching videos on their phone with the sound blasting. As there was also music playing in the restaurant it made for a horrendous noise.“

“Food is great but expect subpar service and a wait if on the weekend. I've been here twice now and noticed the same staff members. They all speak minimal English and some even use hand signs and skip verbal communication entirely lol. First time experiencing that at a restaurant 😂
Come here for good tasting food with a ton of customization, but lower expectations around service.
Cost can add up to with $15/lb. Both times I racked up over 2 lbs of food, but at least you get to take home the leftovers.“

“Food is great. I like the Sausage fried rice here because the rice is actually on the drier side, which is how I like. Other places have good fried rice but the rice is always a little more moist. The restaurant is located inside Mountain View downtown so parking may be a challenge.“

“This is a solid dim sum place with good food overall. Prices were fair, except for the pan fried bao with translucent skins, which were way overpriced. We enjoyed the shrimp chang fen and the Chinese broccoli. The har gow had nice chewy skins, but the filling inside was only so-so. I was not a huge fan of the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves because the filling was made with ground meat instead of whole pieces. The staff were efficient and friendly. We enjoyed choosing our food from the roving dim sum carts. I ordered shou mei tea, which tasted fine.“
