“Best Pho I’ve ever had. Great prices, the owner brought us watermelon juice for the table, and 80’s music videos were playing on the tvs. Obvious locals enjoying a late night bite. Cool spot that proves you don’t need to go somewhere fancy to get great food.“

“I was here on a rainy day last week and can say how this lab curated the most nourishing pho broth I’ve ever tasted! Ever in the Huntington Beach area? Give it a try! Lifted my mood and gave my body back some life. The banh mi was also great - fresh crunchy bread with a soft inside filled with freshly cooked yummies! Enjoy 👩🏻🍳“

“Had a quick pho at Saiga during lunch and ended up sharing a table with a stranger, definitely a rushed experience as I had to move quickly for the next person’s turn. Personally, I don’t think I’ll be back, as the pho didn’t quite justify the price for me. That said, their business model is nice and efficient, catering well to the busy lunch crowd. A cool concept, but not my go-to for pho in OC.“

“James is so courteous and went out of his way to provide excellent service to my boyfriend and I on our date night. The dining area is clean and comfortable. Most notably, the broth is prepared for over 10 hours, which makes the pho exceptionally flavorful. This is our new favorite neighborhood spot!“

“I was craving banh xeo this morning but the rest of my family was asleep so I went solo to Bánh Cuốn Tây Hồ 2. When I first entered I thought it was interesting that they had pitchers of tea on every table. Then when I got my banh cuon and they didn’t give me any nuoc mam I realized the pitcher must be nuoc mam. Yes, I probably ordered too much but their name sake includes banh cuon so I figured I just had to have it and my banh xeo that originally brought me out here. Yummy place. They also tolerated my terribly accented Vietnamese ordering :-)“

“Nice modern ambient to have a decent bowl of pho. Only one entrance to plaza so be patient. Altho the pho flavor was above avg, the experience was cheapen by serving it in a hard plastic bowl. A clay/stone/stainless steel bowl will definitely enhance the experience.“

“It was perfect timing for this Pho Hot Pot restaurant for our post spa/massage dinner! On this day, it did get much cooler in the evening, so hot pot was perfect! Our eyes definitely got hungry when we ordered this "Combo for 4" for just us 2, but it was the perfect opportunity to try different things! Thanks to our awesome server who was able to guide us through the menu, as noobs to the restaurant! Everything we tried was so delish and we had plenty to take home to share with our families! W“

“I usually get 100 frozen egg rolls for a family member when I visit them out of town and it's the shrimp and crab eggrolls. They love it here.
I recently ordered freshly fried chicken egg rolls for a picnic and the guests enjoyed them. Some are allergic to seafood and some don't eat pork so I was glad they had chicken egg rolls and they are equally tasty as the shrimp ones.“

“The people who come here and give this place anything less than 5 stars are tripping. I've been coming here for a little while now and it is a gem, their egg rolls are some of, if not the best you will ever have in your life. They are very flavorful, fried perfect, not oily/greasy at all and very crispy.
There is a minimum order of 10 eggrolls, you can mix and match whatever kind they have available but the sum has to be 10. They take card but do not prefer it due to the high charges they receive as a small business, it really is best for them if you can pay in cash or even zelle them for your order. I've personally never waited more than 10 minutes, even for large last minute orders so I think their service is always fast and consistent.
My Gf and the owner both say that #1 is their favorite and the best one on the menu and they probably aren't wrong, its the most flavorful one on the menu in my opinion too. But my favorite is #7, it's filled with a ton of shrimp and really good seafood flavor. If you want even more shrimp, I would order #9, it's basically a shrimp egg roll with a whole shrimp added to one end, also extremely good. My family really enjoys #3 + #4 which are good for just about anyone. Every single one on the menu is good though so I recommend you give them all a try eventually. Sauce is a large container of sweet garlic chili sauce for only $1.50, it's really good but I prefer making my own fish sauce at home.
I've seen a recent video urging people to order ahead online and that is usually the best idea but lately the lady I've spoken to says that they are simply too overwhelmed with orders because of the holidays to even answer the phone most of the time. If you're having a party or get-together where you want to order several dozen, I would call early morning or even the day/night before to secure your order. If you're going to order less than like 50, I would highly recommend being there before 1pm because they will likely have already sold out of a lot of them after that time. You can still get some after 1pm to close forsure but they will probably only have one type for the rest of the day and a limited amount. For example, I went yesterday at 4pm just an hour before they closed and I was able to order 40 but only of the #1 or #6, it took them about 4 minutes to give me my order.
Most of the bad reviews I see for this place is due to their customer service and I think those people were simply mistaken or confused about something. I have personally only ever seen 2 mature ladies working here that speak some english. Thats it. They answer the phone, prepare the egg rolls, take orders, make the food and drinks, and its just them... They are some of the sweetest and most polite hardworking little old ladies I've ever met, they are not mean like some people say, they are stern and loud at best but I feel like that can be expected and it doesn't mean they have bad intentions.
If you're like me and you live far away and interested in driving all the way out here just to give it a try, I would honestly recommend it. Just make sure you head out early and get here before lunch, try a small order of a couple of different kinds and once you see how good they are, you can walk back up to the window and ask to order a couple dozen more of the ones you liked the most and take them home with you. They reheat very well, I usually microwave a plate of 5-10 at a time for about 30 seconds until they're just barely warm and air fry or bake at a high temp for just under 5 minutes to bring back the crunch, tastes as good as fresh.“

“Saturday 12/7:24 Lunch at 99999 Restaurant - Phở Út Nô in Garden Grove. I’m trying out their BBH, served in a metal bowl to retain the heat. The soup base was really good, not overpowering with a nice portion of meats and reasonably priced. There are many menu items that I will be returning to try out.
The restaurant has a nice decor and a big screen TV and several TV around the restaurant to watch sports games.
Mike, service staff, was polite and attentive to customers.
I recommend trying out this restaurant.

“New owner for about 1 year made major improvements for food and services in this small place with about 12 tables. It's nice, clean, bright, pleasant, smelling neutral.
We got in about noon a Sunday. Most tables were already taken. Half hour later about 10 people were waiting outside for seats. So they did something right and the place is popular.
We ordered a Bun Bo Hue Special with extra rare beef $14.95 and a Banh Canh Tom Cua central taste, $14.95, 2 hot teas $1 each.
BBH's broth is a rich, tasty bone stock, nice, clear with the tastiness of fermented shrimp paste without the odor, not too sugar sweet and not overspiced. There was barely a hint of lemon grass. a tub of satay is at the table to customize spiciness to taste. So far this is the most balanced and best BBH's broth I found in So Cal and No Cal.
There was generous meats, extra rare beef, shank, a few small bites of tendon, 2 cubes of blood curl, a large slice of pork butt, a chunk of pork ball and a chunk of short rib. No pork trotter was served, which is my preference. The meats were cooked to my preferred chewiness. I would skip the rare beef and short rib in next orders. I finished the soup and wish the bowl was bigger.
This is by far the closest to the best home-made BBH I had in central Vietnam. In comparison, for the same price, Ngu Binh serves a larger bowl by about 50% with more protein and tastier broth, but the broth is greasy and way over spiced.
Banh Canh Tom Cua has clear crab broth, fresh and tasty but a little too sweet for my taste.
The wait staff is courteous and efficient. They gave us a small cup of soy bean dessert, tasted good.
I wish the owner would add an option for a supersized bowl 50% larger. This place would be my second choice for BBH after Ngu Binh.“

“First time here, and Hoang Gia's owner Tang is the nicest and most friendly host!
Customer service is top notch, which will have me come back...
We tried the Crunchy Egg Rolls, which was made fresh, hot, and crispy!
The Nem Nuong Roll was delicious!
We were lucky to try a free sample of his Wonton as they sold out of it.
The Green Thai Tea was refreshing as well! My kids can't wait to come back to eat everything again!
Next time, I will try the Banh Canh Noodle Soup, I saw someone ordered it and the seafood were all individually packed for freshness!
Their cakes looked delicious as well!“

“I will say.... for simple, straight to the point banh khot.... this place was good. The batter was good, and I liked the ratio of batter to topping. It was not too thick of a banh part. BUT - I will say I've had better banh khots that are a bit heartier and Maybe made with more attention, meaning ones that have the other Toppings on it. I was so surprised when the Shrimp one came out and it was basically just batter and shrimp. So basic. It was good!!! But basic is all. And it matched what we paid for it. So I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that be aware that it's that type of banh khot and not like others in more upscale restaurants. It's 5 stars based on the style of banh khot this place is known for. Service was ok. They were busy. There was a wait. I'd say it matched the ambiance and price point.“

“Decent spot for a quick Vietnamese meal!
My friend and I visited this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch, located in the Parkview Center Plaza. The plaza has ample parking, and the restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with a decent seating capacity. If you prefer dining outdoors, there’s also plaza seating available. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick and efficient.
We started with the Duo Appetizer, which included a spring roll and a crispy egg roll. Both were good, but the crispy egg roll stood out—it was hot, fresh, and flavorful.
For the main course, we went with the pho noodle soup: the chicken breast sous vide and the special combo, both in large portions. The noodle and meat quantity was generous, but the broth was a bit underwhelming—lacking the depth of flavor I was expecting.
We also tried the tri-color bean drink and the black sea grass jelly drink. The jelly drink was okay, but the tri-color bean drink felt more like a scoopable dessert than a beverage—not my preference.
If you're in the area and craving pho, this place is a convenient option, but it might not blow you away. A solid choice for a quick Vietnamese meal!“

“This is the OG spot where the Vietnamese get their nuoc mia.
I come here every time I'm in OC.
I usually get the penny wort sugarcane (nuoc mia rau ma).
Bf orders the kumquat which is very flavorful.
Great price too! Their small sizes are $4-5.
Don't bother with cococane. This is where the locals go for their sugarcane.“

“Went on NYE with a large party. Was a very impromptu decision, but called in advance to see what their hours were. They were super happy to have us and had our table ready immediately. Place isn't super big, so just be aware if you plan to come in with an 7 or 10 top. Price was super reasonable.
Kid-friendliness: They were super accommodating with 4 kids in our group, 3 of which were toddlers.“

“This cozy, dependable family-owned Vietnamese spot has become my go-to place, whether I’m dining in or grabbing takeout. It’s located in a super convenient spot and I find that I’m there almost every week—sometimes more! I’ve tried so many things on their menu, and not once have I been disappointed. The Bahn Beo is fantastic, probably my favorite, and the Bun Bo Hue is so comforting and definitely a runner up. Everything is made with that special homecooked touch.
The prices are totally reasonable, so you can get a great meal without draining your wallet. The staff is also super friendly, making the whole experience that much better. If you’re a takeout fan like me, they nail it every time! Everything is packed up perfectly, so it’s still fresh and flavorful when you get home. Definitely go check them out!!“

“We've enjoyed the rice noodle dishes here many times (rice vermacelli with pork or grilled shrimps, salad greens, sauce) but today we had the chicken Bahn Mi (Vietnamese sandwhiches) and they were awesome. Crusty fresh french baguette with a soft tender interior, filled with lemon-grass marinated grilled chicken , cilantro, jalepeno, pickled radish and carrots and a delicous sauce. Heavenly. They are counter-service only... but you can usually find an outside seat with a view of the Beach!“

“Pho Vinh Ky has 4 other branches in Little Saigon, nice, clean, quiet, all have pho sale, regular $8, big bowl $10. Sale has been going on for years. They do a lot of take outs, same prices.
This pho is good. The broth is tasty, not sugary sweet, with bone depth, clean, clear. I ordered a large steaming hot bowl with extra rendered fat and scallion to crank up the creamy taste. Service was quick and pleasant.
This big pho bowl has the thin noodle like hu tiu. I prefer the Northern pho with thicker noodles with springy texture. It has lots of meats, rare round eye, flank, chuck, fatty brisket, tripe, tendon. You can specify any cuts you want. The brisket is chewy. I prefer more tender. I am a big eater but could only finish half, packed the rest to go. I also ordered 2 big bowls with rare eye round to go so I can eat them at home and not having to drive down.
This pho quality and value is much better than average, where other shops charge $15 or more for the same bowl. A few other pho places also have $8-10 pho.
Open 8 Am to 3 AM. This is a honest business that offers tasty, healthy food with very good value, recommended.“
