“I come here for lunch all the time. Their prices are actually reallly hard to beat these days. I’ve had their Bun Rieu, Bun Rieu Oc, Bun Thit Nuong, Bun Bo Hue, Bun Cha Gio. Alll of it is good! Flavors are right. The fresh bean sprouts and veggies abundant. The Bun Rieu is the best here though. There is a 3 or 4% credit card fee so its good to have cash here!

Theres also a togo food section but I feel like it is not as good as the noodle soup dishes. I’ve gotten spring rolls catered here as well. Small family owned restaurant and super sweet staff. I love that its super quiet here on my lunch breaks.“

“I recently passed by this place and decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did. The interior is absolutely stunning such a cute and inviting establishment. Right away, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel comfortable.

The food was delicious and clearly made fresh to order. Everything tasted high quality, but the pho and the salad really stood out. The meat on the salad especially brought back childhood memories for me — the flavor was incredible and really comforting.

Very nice casual dining place in a shopping center right across from Stater Bros on the corner of Edinger and DiFairview. Love the Chicken Bowl with noodles and a crispy egg roll in the bowl. The vegetables and broth blend so well. The prices are very good. They even offer a Senior Discount. Try this place you will be pleased.“

“The dining experience at Pho Vina was wonderful. As I've mentioned before, Pho is my ultimate comfort food. I love randomly searching for Vietnamese noodle shops in LA to satisfy my cravings. Vina is exactly what I was looking for—you don't need top-tier, luxurious décor, the fanciest cutlery, or complicated culinary techniques. When that bowl of Pho is placed in front of me, a single sip of the broth is enough to fill me with happiness, and Vina gave me that feeling.

I also ordered the Chicken Skewers; the portion was generous, and the meat was marinated perfectly. I particularly enjoyed the Raw Beef (tái); I requested that the kitchen staff blanch the meat slices for me, as I was worried the broth might not be hot enough when served, and Vina graciously accommodated my request.

“The is was our second trip to NEP and was as good as the first! Both the shrimp salad app and the squid and mango salad were so well balanced and tasty. The garlic noodles and shaking beef were sooo good. Nothing was too spicy but really flavorful. The shaking beef was so good we ordered another one! The cocktail that night was a raspberry sour and too was perfectly prepared. For a casual restaurant, these guys really put out the effort. Oh, and the sticky rice/mango desert was the topper. The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. Khoi is such a gem! The Vietnamese hotpot here is absolutely delicious, and the Tom Yum soup base is hands-down my favorite — the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and comforting.
I also love that they offer Yakiniku-style cooking options with short ribs, shrimp, and pork — it’s fun, interactive, and everything tastes so fresh. On top of that, the variety of sauces is fantastic, giving you endless ways to customize every bite.

“Cơm Tấm Kiều Giang is one of those places that instantly earns five stars. I first discovered them through DoorDash and immediately fell in love—but once I came in person, I realized just how much of a hidden gem this spot really is (and how much more affordable it is dining in).

The menu hits all the Vietnamese classics: a solid lineup of Vietnamese appetizers, cơm tấm (broken rice), bún (vermicelli) bowls, and plenty of traditional Vietnamese drinks to round out the meal. Everything feels comforting, well-portioned, and thoughtfully prepared.

What really stands out—besides the food—is the value. Prices are incredibly reasonable, especially for today: vermicelli dishes range from $12–$15, and broken rice plates from $12–$17. For the quality and portion size, it’s honestly a steal.

I have noodle soups sometimes and the rice plates other times, and the take out options are great and ready to go. “I’ve found myself coming to this spot many times whenever I’m in OC. It’s one of the few places where you can find a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes beyond just pho, which, honestly, a lot of places still don’t get right.

I’ve tried more than six different dishes here, and every single one has been flavorful, delicious, and truly authentic. It tastes just like home.

Some of my favorites are the Bún Mắm, Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay, Bún Riêu, and Hủ Tiếu Mì Khô—all so good and packed with flavor. I don't recommend Bột Chiên tho!

“This is a solid Vietnamese restaurant in South OC. Everything about it is very traditional, the menu and food would be just the same in Vietnam. Got the Pho Tai and Oxtail Pho. Oxtail was nicely braised, the Pho Tai beef a bit overdone. Broth was good. Get the large for $1 more, the portions are huge.

“The pho was good. It didn’t have that super rich, beefy broth I usually look for, but it was still enjoyable. The hot stone keeps everything piping hot, which I really appreciate. I like my food hot. A big plus is that they use fresh noodles, which really makes a difference.
I ordered the special, and my husband got the short ribs. We also shared the spring rolls as an appetizer, and they were delicious. The service was good and attentive throughout our visit.

“I stopped here just after an atmospheric river storm on the way to an event recently. I sat down to order but soon realized there would not be enough time to stay and I did not see anything to drink except the usual mixed sweetened tea/coffee/smoothie type cold beverages so I asked if they have anything hot. Although their hot coffee was not on the menu I agreed to try two of them to go. These were EXCELLENT in robust flavor that was not one bit acidic or bitter. They were incredibly thick and delicious like the kind they serve in Athens Greece…not to mention quite hot which was perfect for the storm. I saved the other half for the next day leaving it in the refrigerator when I came home. The next morning although the temperature of coffee changes the flavor is was still incredibly delicious just a smoother sweet taste. I definitely like this coffee both hot and cold. I would highly recommend this to anyone who actually likes the taste of coffee. No need to add anything to it. It was perfect the way they served it.“

I have been to the vast majority of pho restaurants in south OC, and Simply Pho is by far the best. Accessibility, the broth, the meat and noodles are all great.

Every time I come in, I order as I’m getting seated and I don’t even look at the menu:
The Brisket Pho is the best.
Also try the tofu spring rolls.“
