When I mentioned on my first visit that I'd just bought an espresso machine, they reminded me to wait 4-5 days before making coffee with fresh beans so I wouldn't have a bad experience.

“Had a craving for coffee after walking by the beach so I googled spots nearby. With so many options (never Starbucks) I saw this one had a pretty fair amount of good reviews. It’s pretty small, not a lot of seating, but you’re by the beach so not really a priority.
I took a look at the specialty menu and I have to say, nothing too crazy. I settled in the cherries and cream latte. I didn’t really taste anything special. The coffee itself wasn’t bad, just didn’t stand out“

“Wall Writers is a hidden gem in Irvine with a modern, cozy vibe and plenty of seating. The menu goes beyond the basics with unique drinks like ube lattes, pandan matcha, and pistachio lattes. As soon as I stepped into the cafe, I was met with a high ceiling that was a refreshing break from more of the low ceiling office spaces that I had been studying in. The layout and decor is well put together with the napkins, coffee cup sleeves, and utensils being easily accessible and out of the way from any lines that may form. I’ve also delighted in the presence of board games and enough seating to host these board games! The space is fitting for any who seeks to study with enough accessible outlets within reach wherever you sit. There’s also a maker space area right next door, and in a sense because there is no closed doors between the cafe seating area and the maker space market - it just makes the space feel even more spacious!

I ordered an iced chai latte spiced with nonfat milk. It came out to be $6 for a large cup size. I took one sip and all my worries for the day seemed to have melted away! Praise God! It was incredibly thoughtful to have stickers placed on the drink so that you would know who made your drink. The staff are all kind and hard working - God bless you all.

I want to be back to try the other drinks because it seems like there’s a new seasonal drink incorporating mushrooms, which I have not heard before.

The time here was wonderful.

“Basic quick service (Halal!) noodle house with a variety of hand pulled noodles and appetizers and more. The noodles are good but lack the bouncy and texture of great hand pulled noodles. The beef noodle soup was solid but I definitely recommend adding vinegar as well as their great salt/pepper combo in the shaker. Appetizers: black fungus salad, cucumber salad and Chinese pickles cabbage w're all good. Service was attentive and friendly. If you want a quick noodle dish, this is fine but better options are out there.“

“One of the better coffee places in all of Southern California. Vietnamese code is their specialty and it’s a fantastic bean origin for delicious coffee drinks of all types. I normally get the hot Spanish Latte or an iced Americano, both of which I would highly recommend to anyone.“

“So this doughnut shop is inside the grocery / general store in the plaza. They offer so many unique doughnuts like various candy bar and cereal flavors, as well as some more traditional flavors. “A Wonderful Discovery in Costa Mesa

As a new customer at The Lost Bean in Costa Mesa, I couldn’t be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a space that is clean, well maintained, and peaceful — perfect for relaxing or getting work done.

The coffee is excellent, crafted with care and consistency. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything I’ve tried has been outstanding.

What makes this place even better is the staff, especially a gentleman named Chris. He is kind, sincere, smart, and attentive. He creates a welcoming atmosphere and seems to play a major role in running the shop.

The entire team is friendly and helpful, but Chris stands out. I hope the management team recognizes him and lets him know he is appreciated. He makes a big difference.

Because of him and the great environment, The Lost Bean has quickly become one of my favorite places in Costa Mesa.
