We all indulged in a mai tai, they were perfect. We can't wait to dine here again. The atmosphere was great, our server was very pleasant. I'm loathe to leave this review, mostly because I don't want to make this gem any more popular than it already is. But if you want a select menu of gourmet goodies from upscale sandwiches to one of the best baked bries, this is it. “There are two meals in my (now 27) years of life that have made me feel this way. I came in on a whim with my boyfriend after finding this place on google maps. We were staying in a nearby town for a few days, searching for a last minute birthday dinner spot that seemed like a serious restaurant and not just pricey for the sake of being pricey. Decor and vibe seemed promising from the pictures and I’m a sucker for tapas, but our expectations were tempered going in. The ambience, cuisine, and service that greeted us at Del Rey blew my expectations out of the water completely. Tucked away inside a beautiful and very quintessentially palm springs hotel, Del Rey’s dining room provides stunning decor and vibes galore. However, I found the dim lit patio was too cozy to resist on a nice warm desert evening). Kai (hope i’m spelling it correctly) was our server, and despite our short-notice arrival well after the peak of dinner service, his hospitality was superb. We never felt rushed, and our many questions were answered thoroughly and patiently. We rushed out of the gate with a massive order of different tapas, and he was considerate enough to help us dial it back to a more appropriate amount of food given the portions. If i had one note at all, it was that the mushroom dish is missing something texturally, but it was nevertheless delicious and had we not had so many other dishes on our table i’m certain we would have finished it quickly. Besides that, everything that touched our table was utterly spectacular. The house gin martini was perhaps the best martini i have ever had (as a gin martini drinker), and my boyfriend who hates gin AND martinis was shocked at how much he enjoyed it. The sangria was another standout drink. I could go on and on, but in short: if you find yourself in this corner of the desert you would be a fool to not pay Del Rey a visit.

p.s. the cheesecake desert makes for a perfect nightcap, and i’ve never cared much for cheesecake“

Plenty of special events at night such as guest singers on the weekend and karaoke Sunday to Tuesday after 9 p.m. This is the kind of place where the bartenders get to know you and remember your drinks. It was so warm, and what could have been a pleasant evening in a cute, covered, outdoor setting was much less so. The food was fine and interesting, but I think that a new manager and staff training would help this venue. The staff (in general) seemed very disinterested in the guests. The Panty has potential, and I'm not happy to write a less than stellar review, but I'm just being honest.“

“My knowledge base is one visit on December 23. I found Tryst to be a fun and inviting place. The barter was attentive. It was a mixed (age, gender) and friendly crowd. I am not aware of a food menu and therefore didn’t rate. To me it was a bit more relaxed than the nearby Arenas venues. I’d come back anytime for a drink and chat with friends. Patrons were laughing and having a good time. The “vibe” was good.“

We opted for some fresh lighter bites .
Surprisingly vegan friendly & easily modified menu items . I ordered the watermelon salad omit the mozzarella.
Delicious ! I’m an iced tea junkie and the tea here was refreshing .

What stood out here was the service ——- the staff was on it and we had plenty of smiles checking in on us .

There, must have been a convention or something lots of people wearing name tags flooded the restaurant right about noon simultaneously. In the span of just a couple minutes all the tables were filled and people were standing and waiting. Everything was good, just be aware, large events can completely saturate the restaurant's availability, In the blink of an eye.“

They require $30 minimum spending for every person at the table, though.
You will not be allowed to sit inside the sports bar area without buying food or drinks.
