“Come on Now! I hurt my mouth so the only thing I can eat was porridge. But where can I find porridge? I found it here after googling porridge… And it was fantastic. Not “the best” in terms of the fancy restaurant style of rice porridge (juk) but definitely more homey vibes version. Like how your mom or granny would make it.

The banchan (side dishes) were really fresh and a lot of variety. I’m going to try more menu items once my mouth heals.

This place has great comfort foods and classic korean foods most other places don’t have! More authentic. Not your basic trendy Korean spot.

Also, the lady who runs the register and serves is so kind. She is like the best Korean auntie. Just a kind soul.

I will bring my wife and our families (Lord willing)!

The meat in this restaurant is very fresh, and the restaurant waiter is also very warmly welcoming us, providing us with high-quality services and helping customers barbecue winter meat food! “Pho 45 in Garden Grove is a bright, busy, and very clean spot with a friendly vibe. We ordered the phở tái chín và viên and the phở tái nạm gân. The portions were generous and well balanced, with fresh herbs and noodles. The broth was light and I personally wished for a bit more spice aroma, but it was still one of the better pho experiences I have had.

The service truly stood out. For a small mom and pop restaurant, it was the best I have seen. The owner watches every detail and the staff is very attentive. I had a stroller with me and before I even reached the table they cleared a chair so I could park it easily. Our food also came out super fast.

The space is simple with white textured walls and is very family friendly. Service is a 10, food is a 9. I would definitely return“

“As you walk in birds chirp to welcome you in. I ordered the carne en su jugo, it was delicious. Born in Jalisco, and eating this dish at homemade, it definitely hits home! I also tried the red pork pozole and was ok for my standards,but for my American friend it was a 10. The bigest disappointment was the Tamale de Rajas ( cheese with jalapeño slices) it had no cheese, but had tomato, onion and jalapeño. I would not recommend it. Service was excellent, very clean establishment. Only recommendation is to offer a desert, like churro, flan or arroz con Leche. I would come back, I would like to try the albóndigas next time.“

“1st time trying Pho Waffle and Grill. It's a small place but as usual small places have the greatest of foods. I ordered the Salmon Bowl and also the Beef Pho to go. You can also pre-order or just drive on thru their drive thru. Will definitely come back again! Broth was perfect and so was the salmon. Oh and got cheese ragon as well.

If it's raining and you want some warm pho. This is the spot for you. Close to South Gate, Lynwood, Bell Gardens, Downey and Paramount. It has drive thru and a small mom and pop restaurant that should definitely be supported for the great food. Had Beef Pho and Shrimp Pho, with Creamy ragoons and Veggie Egg rolls topped off with Tai Tea. Yum!!! #TheSpot“

“No fancy looking photos, good tasting soups for dinner. We did a take out, and was amazed how they packed the food. It was so sealed, good thing i have scissors during our trip. Then later found out they provided a plastic cutter for the film.
We really enjoyed the beef rib soup. Kimchi was really good too. I know their pork belly soup was popular too, but its not much to our liking. The seafood pancake probably had too much egg on the batter, it became more omelette. But its still tasty.“

“The Tofu Spring Rolls are good, but lacking flavor. Me personally, I like peanut butter, but the Hoisin Sauce with Peanut Butter had a weird aftertaste. The pork chop was nice and charred, but also lacked some flavor. The vermicelli (noodles) is a nice filler. Great service, and overall nice interior, the only real problem is being crammed with space.“

This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

“This place has my favorite chicken dishes. When I’m feeling like I need something with broth, I’m going for the pho ga. When I’m feeling for some rice, I pick the com ga chien ( fried chicken rice). The crazy thing is soontofu costs $17.99 per bowl! This includes the rice bowl that comes in the stone pot. Add water to it after you remove the rice. Take it home to drink. This also includes the side dishes, like kimchi cabbage, kimchi radish, bean sprouts, etc.

You order on the tablet at your table. When you need to check out, there is an option on the tablet too.

I docked one overall star because the service was lacking. The tablet has options to ask for water or get the check, but there is no button to get to-go containers or more napkins. It was hard to flag down someone, and it took them even longer to get what we asked for.

“Excellent Hu Tieu My Tho soup! We ordered it (kho) dry with the chicken broth and red sauce in the side. This is our new favorite restaurant for Hu Tieu My Tho. The owner is very friendly and eager to get you whatever you need to make you happy. They also have excellent Cafe Sua Da, very creamy and not watered down or bitter. We will definitely come back everytime we are in town.“

As someone who recently moved from Koreatown LA to a gateway city, I had to find my go to Korean restaurant and I think this is one of my favorite places. We like to get the Uhndaegoo jorim (braised black cod). Some of our other favorites are the dahk gae jang, as well as the bohtsahm. The atmosphere is very modest and simple, but this is the kind of place that suits me.

“We came as a party of 18. Sadly we were seated in a crammed space, spoke to management and they helped us move into a more comfortable table. Henry was our server, he was very nice, very patient and over all a great server. Managed to get everyone’s food and drinks out as ordered in a timely manner. Food was as expected.
