“If you are a sushi lover I recommend this place.
The sushi from this place is delicious. This place has the best sushi in Pacifica. I recommend the SCREENING ALASKA AND THE CHIRASHI DON. Everything is delicious. But those 2 are my favorite.“

“Had a wonderful time grabbing lunch here. We just happened to stumble here and it was great! Our server was fantastic, very attentive, and made us feel like we were getting a meal at a family members house. We had the curry, a dragon roll, and a California roll, they were all great! Thanks! We'll be back!“

Service staff is incredibly kind, quick and attentive. They really create a wonderful atmosphere for guests. Food is also amazing - a large menu with plenty of options and all of them delicious.“

“Hands down one of my favorite sushi places in the sunset. The food is always tastes fantastic, and with the generous portions, you absolutely get your money's worth. Staff is friendly, and every once in a while they'll even throw in a little freebie nigiri with my order. Cannot recommend this place enough.“

“My family has been dining here every couple weeks since it opened 3 years ago. The owner Paul always greets us and does some special things for the kids: salmon sashimi in bite sized pieces and steamed tofu. Our favorites are negima, the local halibut nigiri, agedashi tofu (I would argue best in the city), grilled butter fish, and okra. All washed down with Echigo lager and our favorite sake Drunken Whale. Highly recommend for a casual but delicious meal“

“I love this neighborhood sushi place. The quality is high. The food is fresh. It never busy. We love the chicken karage, lion king, 49er, deluxe California and the unagu don.
Focus on fish. I would not recommend the ramen.“

“I honestly really love this place. I had sushi before and the sushi here make me feel really excited when I took the first bite. I would definitely wanna go to this place again, and maybe bring a friend!! 10/10 5 stars. I loved the California rolls & poppers. The poppers made me do a little dance when I took the VERY FIRST BITE. I wish I could eat the poppers everyday.“

“All 13 of us thought the food and prices were good. They didn't have enough iPad tablets so our large party had to order on two, and when they brought out large platters of sushi, we couldn't tell what was what or if they made it all.“

“We had an amazing dining experience! The food was fantastic, and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. We followed his recommendations and ordered the chef’s choice bowl, sushi tacos, salad, and toro—and he was absolutely right. Everything was so delicious, I nearly swallowed my tongue! I think my favorite was the sushi tacos—they were out of this world. Highly recommend!“

“The best sushi place in SF…I am a sushi lover. The fish there are so fresh and the Uni are premium. From the sashimi to the Kobe beef, everything is top. Their pricing is also very reasonable. Eric and Phoebe are very nice and provide excellent service.“

“Was headed downtown for a concert and this restaurant was along the way of the Metro so we decided to try it out. The sushi were decent and tasty. The sashimi were sliced thicker than I'm used to but was not an issue. Overall no complaints with the food. If I had to nitpick, the atmosphere felt a bit of a mix bag with European paintings and all-cantonese speaking staff which questions the authenticity of the (Japanese) restaurant. Then again, who am I to judge, we ordered a maki with cream cheese 🤣“

“Kamu Sushi in South San Francisco is a cozy, small gem that really makes every visit special. Their beer and sake is top-notch and pairs beautifully with the meal. The extra spicy edamame is a fiery delight, while the seafood options like lobster and mussels are impeccably fresh. The nigiri and Spicy Spider Roll round out an unforgettable culinary experience. A must-visit for an intimate evening of great food and drink. Cheers!“

“This is my and my husband’s favorite sushi restaurant! This is a must-visit restaurant when friends or family visit. This is a restaurant recognized by everyone! It's a little pricey (but not terribly expensive), but it's really worth it⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really recommend this place! In particular, salmon belly and eel sushi melt as soon as you put them in your mouth. Be sure to order it haha. The place itself is small, but the sushi quality is so good that we go often haha.
This is my go-to sushi place in the bay area! I really recommend this place because once you put the sushi into your mouth.. it melts. Especially I recommend unagi(eel) sushi and salmon belly sushi! The price is a little bit high, but reasonable price - because it is definitely worth it. Also all the employees are so kind and nice here :)“

“Small place, and very busy. There were so many to-go orders waiting for pickup, surely a good sign. Excellent menu, and the happy hour menu has great prices. Great selection of rolls, such clever and delicious combinations on offer. Reminded me a bit of Tokyo…
Enjoy!“

“This is a quaint little sushi restaurant with super friendly staff and really good food. This is the first time that I ever had raw seafood and I was worried that I wouldn't like it. However, I was greatly surprised and it was delicious. My only negative was that the Wasabi was too mild.“

“Had delivery twice, excellent both times. 49er roll is great, as are the chicken skewers. Tried the gyoza pot sticker first time, then the deep fried version second time and wow the crunch on the deep fried is delicious. Will be ordering again and seeing about eating in “

“Family run spot in San Bruno. Located on El Camino Real, it's easy to miss if you drive by.
The restaurant itself isn't too large, but there's seating for groups of all sizes. The menu is pretty extensive and has a good variety. We ended up getting a sashimi combo, one roll, and the lamb appetizer.
The sashimi itself was pretty tasty with no fishy smell. We got a good variety of sashimi, but my favorite was the salmon. The lamb was delicious as well and we're a good size.
Service is good and the staff is nice. We got our drinks refilled often without us asking.“

You can order ahead of time so you can come by in and pick up your food when ready! Great thing also about this place there was a time when I lagged to pick up my order and I was still treated with the upmost respect I'm kind customer service as I would if I picked up on time!! “Quasi-private dining experience with exquisite omakase curated with top shelf fresh seafood run by a single chef and a single waitress/hostess. Impressive culinary arts in whimsical and small dining room. Wagyu beef topped with caviar and gold flakes nigiri for the win. Improvements could include more familiar Japanese beers and sake along with allowing customer to choose tip percentage based on quality of service. (I’m not a fan of flat 20% no matter what for service fee). All in all, great dining experience and worth revisiting!“

“The sushi is fresh and tantalizing.

They have 2 more places at SFO Airport.

“I had pretty low expectations for a sushi place attached to a La Quinta, but this place was spectacular. The fish was fresh and prepared well, the presentation was very nice, and sitting at the sushi bar was a cool experience. Service was a little slow, but they were absolutely packed with customers. It's not hard to see why. I've paid twice as much for sushi half as good. This place was excellent.“

“I’ve been on the hunt for a new go-to sushi spot since my favorite one in Burlingame closed down (RIP). This is currently top of my list for when I’m in town with colleagues. Great service and ample parking. Easy to get to and plenty of delicious items on the menu. Good variety of sake as well.“

“My wife and I made a trip from the east bay here for our date night. The sushi was good; my wife really loved the soft shell crab appetizer! My spicy tuna hand roll was good but disappointingly on the small side.
We got a couple of rolls and an udon bowl and enjoyed all of it.
The service was good but I had to remind the waitress to bring our udon after waiting quite a while… not a huge deal but accounts for the 4 star service.
The atmosphere wasn’t intimate at all but the place was filled with locals which we enjoyed.
Overall, a good experience with good food. We’d definitely got again.“

“good food! as good as it gets especially when u compare to what you get in japan. their udon broth has a smoky bonito flavour. kaarage was done perfectly with not too much batter. sushi(especially the boston akami) hits the spot! from singapore“

“happy to have stumbled upon this place. the rolls were good, sashimi fresh, and fried things used a beer-like batter that was more doughy / golden crispy rather than the thinner crumbly style — karaage had some tenderized meat inside instead of large chunks of thigh which was unexpected but interesting. the gomae and agedashi tofu were generous. overall, nice home-y japanese mom n pop serving a bunch of classics, humble and satisfying for a casual dinner date.“

“I have been here multiple times, usually when I am craving for some sushi or when I am in the area and want to get something different. This place is a plus in the neighborhood, because there are not many sushi spots within the district. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained and understanding where I never had an issue in any of my visits. Their menu consists of Japanese appetizers, sushi rolls, specialty rolls, sashimi, dinner sets, desserts, etc. For dine in, you can choose booth seating, bar counter or regular table seating. Everything is made to order which is just how I like it and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. I highly recommend this place to all sushi enthusiasts, to anyone looking for a laid back spot or if you just happen to be within the area. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.“

“This place is a little pricey for what you get. However, it is great to eat a meal here and then walk next door to catch a movie. The three item bento box is pricey, but it will fill you up. I would go to other Japanese restaurants if I am not watching a movie. I have attached pictures of the menu.“

“I moved to Burlingame in 2020 and found Fuumi as I was walking down Broadway. It quickly became a favorite with great quality sushi from a very friendly and efficient team.
Over the past 4 years I've probably had more than 50 meals from Fuumi and they've never put a foot wrong with my order and it's always been delicious.
Sadly I've now moved out of state so my Fuumi habit has ended... But to quote Douglas Adams, "so long and thanks for all the fish!"“

“I was seated right away during lunch time and it wasn't too busy. My favorite and reason for my visit was to have the torikawa (chicken skin skewers) I also had the Bento with the shrimp tempura and shioyaki salmon. Everything was delicious 😋 I almost forgot to take photos as I was hungry lol... price was also reasonable.“
