“What an incredible dinner! The food was some of the best I've ever eaten, highlighting the bounty of the local farms. One dish I'll never forget was an egg custard with the silkiest texture possible, topped with corn that tasted like summer itself and bacon with the perfect amount of smokiness. The wine pairing was fantastic, with wines from local producers and from afar, always perfectly complementing each course.
But what really sets Six Test Kitchen apart is the accessibility of the team and the space. Because they do a lot of the prep right there in front of the counter, there was a lot more opportunity to have a conversation about the food, learn about the techniques, and hear the story of how each dish came together than in most restaurants of this caliber. A world class meal, with smaller-town pacing and friendliness. Highly recommended!”
“Sculpterra is such a vibe! It’s not just wine tasting, you get this amazing sculpture garden with live music and a really chill atmosphere. Bruce, wine educator, was super cool and made sure we had a blast. The food truck hit the spot, too, and we even got 10% off! Definitely worth the drive, perfect spot for a day out.”
“Beautiful wine in a rustic welcoming setting. This is a must see💕”

“This is a special, special place. The whole experience was wonderful and Ian (the Somm in question, owner and chef) was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. We were so lucky to get a space off the waitlist for one of the lunches (typically booked months in advance - plan ahead!) and we walked in with no real expectations but everything was a total delight. The food was DELICIOUS (of particular note - the French Onion soup cheese, he says he makes this almost every time) and was a great way to experience the various wines (I think he served us 11 different in the end). Amazing and HIGHLY recommend!!!
Dietary restrictions: He will absolutely cater to dietary restrictions.”
“Just had an amazing experience at Eberle. Kirk, our tasting guide, possessed a wealth of knowledge about the vineyard and its history. He could not have been more entertaining, informative, and just generous with his time and tasting! Thoroughly enjoyed all the wines- all the reds have elegance and depth- but are less in your face than some California reds, but so smooth, lovely and enjoyable. We will be back!! In the day and age when everywhere is reservations only and super pricey, Eberle is a breath of fresh air- with years of quality to back up their stellar reputation.”

“National selection of vegan cheeses plus local!”
“What a beautiful winery! The wine is superb, the owners are fabulous and I learned some new things even! Such a lovely experience and by far one of the best quality lineups of wine I’ve tasted in years. Highly recommend!”

“Delicious and creative plant-based food combining great flavor with heart. I love the spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich, the black bean taquitos, the Avalon burger with arugula and vegan Gouda cheese (!), and the avocado taco! Want to try everything on the menu! 5-stars for flavor, creativity, service, and location! Love Ziggy’s!!”

“My spouse and I visited Calcareous in mid-March for a Cabernet tasting that was out of this world. We tasted a variety of wines from different vintages that were all outstanding. Each was beautifully made and are a great value for their price point. Our host, Nate, explained the wine characteristics, production details, and winery history. He expertly answered endless questions about the local wine community and other wine trivia. The whole experience was just great.”

Outdoor Dining
“We ate at Justin's restaurant 15 years ago, it was awesome back then and now it's an experience not to be missed. Every dish was better than the one before, it was an ethereal dinner with a few hacks that I'll add.
The restaurant & bar area are beautiful, it reminded me of The Menu, except nobody was yelling "yes chef". There's a great outdoor patio and grounds that aren't to be missed. I can't adequately describe the food, other than to say each dish is a new experience of heaven.
The hacks are if you join the wine club, it's 20% off of dinner. There are 2 menu options, the Estate menu for $225 and Chef menu for $350, the Chefs menu is the better value and incredible dishes. If you're into wine paring with the menu, it's $110 for each person, but you can also share 1 wine paring for 2 people.
The Wagu beef was beautifully done, as was the cheese souffle, the scallop with caviar in a white sauce was amazing, it was all I could do not to use my finger to scoop up every molecule of sauce. The executive and sous chefs are artists and this menu is their masterpiece.
The staff is extraordinary, they're personable and attentive without hovering or being disruptive. Obviously this is an expensive restaurant, but if you're looking for a memorable event or celebrating a special moment, I can't recommend Justin highly enough.”
“We had fun at the PourHouse! Our bartender was super friendly and helpful. My husband even drank a pickle flavored beer. 🤣 He liked it. You better really like pickles if you order that one. Don’t worry though, they have plenty of other good beer! We also liked their merchandise. He bought two shirts, a hat and coozies. I think you could say we liked it here. Hope to be back to hang out again. That’s for a great time! Also, I loved the lit up PourHouse sign. How fun!!”
“Crimson Cue is the probably the best pool hall I've played and will be playing at in the central coast, service is just amazing everytime, the beer selection is great too you will not be left thirsty that's forsure, they also hire catering vendors to provide delicious food for their loving customers helping out and supporting small businesses. Highly recommend you take your shot on the 8 ball there.?”
“My wife and I have been coming here since around 2010 and it is our favorite winery! We are saving bottles of Esprit de Tablas from their birth years to gift them when they are adults. We also decided to sign up for the wine membership this year!”

“Cute little winery! Staff is very friendly. Did two wine flights that paired AMAZINGLY WELL with the salmon! The salmon was by the far our favorite!! Seasoned so well, paired so well with wines and incredibly delicious!!!”
“Although not a popular spirit at the moment, Re:Find Gin is hands down the best Gin I have ever tasted, and although I'm just a guy on the internet, I have had literally hundreds upon hundreds of different Gins. The Rye is EXCELLENT, albeit young in taste, and is far below the price of equivalent Rye's on the market at around $70, making it a must buy for your home bar/consumption. The Burbon is also excellent, however it is pricey at the current offering. The current non-cub price of $160 is too much for my limited palate when you can get, just off the top of my head, a 6, 10, or 12 year Whistlepig for significantly less. Mixers and other offerings are a fantastic buy for the non-purist or for the many of us that just want a terrific beverage after work...without the work :) Re:Find is the first membership I decided to sign up for in over 14 years. You can't go wrong with small batch made with love over mass-market.”
“Had such a wonderful tasting with Mary, we came back the next day for a pairing of bites and wines with Nicole. Exceptional experience. Chef Jeffrey’s food was perfectly paired and Nicole was very knowledgeable without being condescending. Allowed us to discover the effects of different foods on different wines. Even the”black glass” quiz at the end was illuminating. Will be back with our wine friends.”
“We’ve been here for wine tasting. We set outdoors overlooking winery. Friendly staff with the character explained history of the vineyard and told a story of each wine. Their wines are hidden gem: very interesting take on the Cotes-Du-Rhône wine style. We were so impressed that bought two bottles for our anniversary!”
“We had such a great time here at chronic cellars. Trish was so wonderful and fun to have as our server. What a great place to spend some some time and just chill, laugh, and enjoy the beautiful art work and swag. If you are looking for a unique delicious wine tasting experience that's filled with fun laughter and artful scenery chronic is the place for you. Thanks again Trish we will definitely ask for you on our next visit.”
“Really enjoyable tasting experience on a Saturday morning!
We were a group of 4 looked after by Carly for a tasting. The tasting room is new and luxurious, with thoughtful spacing amongst groups and nice views over the vineyards. Importantly, the wines are a treat to try, with the progression through varietals well done. another highlight was the service, which was warm and fun!
We were lucky to get a tour of the underground cave with Tyler, which includes a tasting room and barrel storage. It’s an amazing space and Tyler was a lot of fun
Thanks to the whole team for a lovely day out!”

“Our family has been going to just baked for years, there desserts are beautifully presented and delicious! I recently got married in Big Sur and with such a remote location we had a difficult time locating a bakery that would deliver a wedding cake and desserts. I went to Libby thinking it would not even be an option. She happily with out hesitation said they’d take on the task!! Our cake and desserts turned out perfect, she took a huge weight off of my shoulders!”
“Food was decent, but the value for breakfast is not good. Coffee is SEVEN dollars, a bottle of beer here is 6 for comparison. Only 1 piece of toast with my omelet? The place was ok, but I felt like I was being nickled and dimed. I was able to walk down the street and get Amazing coffee for $3”
“Awesome food! We stopped in Paso on our way home and found this great spot for dinner. We are a group of 4 and there were lots of options to meet each person's appetite for dinner. Lasagna was excellent, as were the pizzas. Fresh ingredients, good portions. Salads were also very fresh and made to order.”
“Amazing people, good friends, great food, stellar service. Theyve changed theyre menu. My new go to is the Paso Roll, this stack was super amazing, Im coming back for this monster.
Parking: You may have to drive around to find parking depending on what day of the week it is.”
“We wanted a place in Paso Robles near the freeway that we could stop and have pizza on the way home from seeing Hearst Castle with our family. Well not only did we find a pizza place, we found a really good one and from the amount of business they where doing on a Wednesday evening I would say many people agree! It is locally owned and operated by friendly, helpful people who know how to make great food. Now if only they would open one in the Fresno/Clovis area.”

“Our Uber driver recommended Goshi and We really enjoyed our dinner there. So many choices on the menu and the food was fantastic. We sat at the sushi counter and loved the experience.”
Drive-Thru Restaurants
“It’s one of the best wine bars in San Luis Obispo county offering a wide array of domestic and international wines by the bottle or by the glass. I find the prices to be competitive and the bartenders very knowledgeable with their craft. I highly recommend this lace to anyone who wants to sample local Paso Robles and international wines. Don’t take my word for it, come and visit soon.”
“This place came recommended by a local. We went there to dine. Their sign read: Fathers Day special: Pulled pork Mac and cheese with chorizo House salad. $17.00. Ordered the special and a salad expecting pulled pork with a side of Mac and cheese. Got a small nacho container with a small amount of Mac and cheese (possibly from a box) with chorizo and a very small amount of bland pulled pork meat mixed in. I explained to the girl that this was not what I was expecting due to the way the menu read. I asked if I could get pulled pork instead like the menu said. Her response was... you can buy another meal if you want. Very poor customer service and unintentional or not very poor description of the meal as well as a very high price for the food quantity and quality. Could not even eat the meal. Wife got a salad with ranch. She also could not eat her salad due to the ranch tasting like thickened buttermilk with mayonnaise with no ranch mixed in. Left the whole $50 dollar meal (because at the register I had left a very generous tip prior to getting my meal). Will not be back. If you go save the tip until you make sure you get the service and meal you would expect!”
“Food was fantastic ! Didn't go inside but it was nice and clean so that a huge plus for me ! The service wasn't bad but not beat either. Not very good communication when I paid , took my card disappeared for a bit. Came back with my food handed me my card and that was it. Not friendly or helpful but not mean either , if that makes sense. Lol ! Then again I'm in the drive thru and am getting food fast ! And it was pretty quick ?”
“It's Subway standard that you'd expect with this caveat : everything was above average clean, and the clerk actually smiled. This Subway had really fresh veges, no wilted spinach and no green tomato. Thanks!
Vegetarian options: I did not make a vegetarian selection, but the couple ahead of me seemed very pleased.
Kid-friendliness: There always seem to be kids present, & their ability to choose sandwiches and wraps made with/ without certain ingredients seem to make the kids happier.
Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access.”
“i was really wanting hash browns from jack in the box so i went to the one off santa rosa in atown and sat in their drivethru talking to myself before driving all the way to this one on creston and i’m so glad i did! I hope management sees this because the employee named Alex I was helped by this morning totally turned my morning around and also made me the best vanilla coffee i’ve gotten at a drivethru. He deserves a raise, he delivered such excellent customer service to me that I had to right my first google review.”

“Wow! What an experience. Gorgeous winery. Gorgeous views. Delicious wine. Great service. The charcuterie here is next level as is the veggie platter. We had a beautiful day sitting on the terrace. Looking forward to going back.”

“Friendly staff, a pup to greet you and reasonably priced for a flight. I’m a sweet cider fan and all they have is dry but the slushy (watermelon flavor) was fantastic! I’d personally like smaller tastes and more to taste than bigger tastes with fewer to select. More like 6-2 ounce than 4-3 ounce. Just my personal preference!”
“Made a pit stop at Paso Robles, and I thought, some hot noodle soup sound good for a cold weather. I was kinda skeptic 🤨 thinking it’s a Thai restaurant and not Vietnamese. But it did not disappoint. The broth alone was tasty. A single serving can feed two. And I like how they served on the side, generous amount of basil, Mung bean sprouts, lime, and jalapeño (for added kick).”
“Came to Paso for a girls weekend and did a tasting at Nicora. The wine was excellent. Sarah was the host for our tasting and she was terrific. She was very knowledgeable and shared great stories about the winery. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants and other spots to visit during our stay. I’d highly recommend checking it out.”
“We ordered a kids bean and cheese burrito and a vegetarian burrito. First they asked if we didn't want them to cook the refried beans in lard, which was awesome (thank you). And second, they cook their refried beans to order l, which is awesome.\n\nThis is our go to taqueria in town.”

“The staff and owners always make you feel at home, like it's your first time here. We've been coming for years and the food/atmosphere is always consistent. We've never had a bad meal and most are over the top. Request Florentine style when ordering fish. You won't be disappointed. In this photo, we had blackened lingcod and beef stroganoff! Muy fantastico!”

“This is our first Winery Tour ever, and Austin Hope was the first winery of our day, so we didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival, were warmly greeted with a glass of white wine, then escorted to a corner cabana with the backdrop of the vineyard! At first, I was a bit hesitant seating outside because it was March and this year has been unusually cold, but the hostess assured me that they had heat lamps and blankets. Sure enough, with the beautiful flame heat lamp and the soft warm blanket, we were comfortable and cozy, and settled into a wonderful experience. I forgot who was our server, but she was very knowledgeable about the wines, and also personable and caring. She make sure that we were comfortable, and our young daughter had sparkling water in her wine glass so she could (kind of) participate with us. I highly recommend their Charcuterie tray, which has a great assortment of wine, meats and nuts. I love how our server explained the wine at each pour, then leave us ample time to enjoy the glass and talk. She also brought us handwarmers to keep our hands warm. There were so many small caring touches that truly made our first winery tasting experience so wonderful. I'm not much of a wine person, but I ended up loving their wine too. After our tasting at Austin Hope, the other wineries just couldn't compare. Thank you very much for a first winery experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be back!”
“We've been coming here so often that they started remembering what we liked to order. The stout is good and not heavy so I can drink a whole pint and not be dizzy in the slightest. The cheese curds are awesome with the ranch sauce they make. I usually get the wagu burger and add bacon/avocado to the burger. They cook it medium rare and it melts in your mouth. The chicken strips are well seasoned. We love the tacos. The establishment has only been open for a short while and I really already like coming here. We usually get a couple krowlers to go of the stout which they can do with any of their beers on tap.”

“The food is unique. They have options of getting small servings of dishes in groups of trios and quartets so you can taste a larger variety. The salads and brussel sprouts we ate were too good. The carrot soup was super yum. The aioli served with the fries was to die for.”
“This is a must stop when driving thru slo county. The food is great the cocktails are great the atmosphere is great the tequila is top shelf. They have from OOTB one of the best Tequila brands Fuenteseca to The Don if your still into that. You will find great tequila if you want to step into something new. The bartenders were killing it making awesome drinks. You would think Paso is all about wine , right!!!”
“We just had Dinner after not going for a long time and we had the pizza and the bacon bleu burger but the best thing was Tyler he was an excellent waiter server. The dinner was great the atmosphere was great it was a good idea to go there much better than the first time when they first opened highly recommend you go back if you didn’t like it the first time. Thanks Tyler you were the best!!!”
“We have the ability to buy Justin Isosceles at home in WI so that particular wine brought us out here to Paso for the first time. The curves & hills you need to drive out to the winery on Chimney Rock road are well worth it!
You are greeted at the door & shown to your table. Karley was our wine educator for the day. She shared with us dark, delicious reds that were all estate grown and a crisp, yet smooth Chardonnay from Monterey county. We snacked on some focaccia while enjoying the beautiful scenery & mouthwatering wines. We have a few bottles that will highlight our table back home.”
“Amazing cocktails. Wonderful staff and amazing atmosphere. Would advise to anyone looking for unique drinks with informative staff. Staff is always more than happy to share how and what is in the cocktails if you are like me a cocktail enthusiast. 5 out 5 from me.”
“My first experience with their Costa Rican Beans: I woke up this morning in Atascadero to a black lab licking my face a child generated chaos, just like any other day. I hear the coffee grinder grinding away in the kitchen and then the un deniable sound of the high speed fruitless spin that comes with running out of beans. I jumped into my pants, hastily walked to the truck to retrieve a little black bag and filled the hopper. I made no adjustments to the machine, pushed in on the portafilter, ground coffee began to gracefully descend from above. I tamped the grounds with a slight rotation of the tamper, engaged the porta filter into the machine and depressed the two shot button. A velvety waterfall descended from the porta filter streaming into my weathered mason jar, a cloud of creama floated above my espresso and then I proceeded to add a deluge of microfoamed whole milk. I then grabbed my cup and floated through the chaos to my recliner, sat down, pulled. The lever, took a sip of this heavenly nectar, closed my eyes and found myself gently swaying in a hammock somewhere in a rainforest in Central America. I could hear the birds and the monkeys playing at symphony just for me I could smell the sweet humidity that follows an equatorial rain, and for just a moment I had peace.”
“My husband and I were visiting the area on our honeymoon in Paso. We came across this gem! I had a grilled chicken salad with purple cauliflower and Farro. No joke, that was the best salad I've ever had!!! our honeymoon was 5 months ago, and I still think about this salad almost daily... I'm extremely impressed by this restaurant by wowing me the first go round. If I was local, I'd eat there a few times a week.”
“A most wonderful experience. The food was unforgettable!”
