“Fresh, flavorful food and a great place to grab a meal! Everything tasted fresh, and there are plenty of seating options both indoors and on the patio. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our visit.
The only downside is that the restaurant isn't very visible from the street, so it's easy to miss if you don't know it's there. Also, if you plan to use the InKind app, be sure to mention it before ordering. We were told after we had already placed our order that it couldn't be used.
Overall, a great experience with delicious food, and I'll definitely be back!“

“Best restaurant I've been to ever that understands and caters to Celiac, but is so good you can actually bring people who are not gluten-free and they would never know they were eating gluten-free. I was in LA for a week and ate there 3 nights. I would have gone more but they're closed on Monday and Tuesdays. It’s an all day place with breakfast, lunch and dinner. Got here between breakfast & lunch and both menu looks fantastic. Want to order them all but settled for pizzas and salad & of course lemonchello spitz. Great pizza dough and the ingredients are fresh and you can see and taste it that it makes with love for sure. Salad was good abit blanched for me but was focusing on the pizza so…very well make and well cook in the wood fired oven. The pastries look delish and smell fantastic. Service was attentive and friendly, no rush but chill vibe type of service. Prices wise, for 2 pizzas, a cocktail, and a salad and with tip…$150. Parking can be a hassle but if you are willing to walk a little, free neighborhood street parking or if you can find parking within 200feets, then it will be paid street parking or paid garage parking nearby. Still thinking of their pizzas, yum!“

“Fantastic neighborhood lunch spot. Everything is quick, fresh and tasty! You can really tell how much love and creativity Chef Uyen puts into the menu. There are always new weekend specials and a large vegan& vegetarian selection. Several different types of banh mi sandwiches, al in delicious warm bread. The summer rolls are so refreshing in the heat and a large portion size. Their drinks are delicious too! I always grab a limeade or pennywort juice to complete the meal. I also really admire and appreciate their commitment to feeding and caring for the community through their meal program. All in all, a fantastic, delicious and ethical local spot to support ❤“

“The Butcher’s Daughter is one of those places I know I can come back to and always have a great experience. Located in the Melrose/West Hollywood area, it has such a beautiful aesthetic. The decor has this really warm, bohemian feel with lots of natural light, greenery, and an overall relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

The food is all vegetarian, so if you’re looking specifically for meat options, this isn’t the place. BUT I will say everything is DELICIOUS. They do have vegan + gluten free options available as well, which makes it a great option for groups with different dietary preferences. Everything we ordered was really good, fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.

The service was another highlight. The servers were genuinely kind, attentive, and accommodating. We had a larger group of more than 7 to 10 people, and they were able to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. Getting a larger group together can sometimes be a headache, so having a restaurant that can make it feel easy is a big plus.

Overall, I really enjoy the combination of the food, atmosphere, and service here. The space is beautiful during the day when all the natural light comes in, and the bohemian decor gives it a very relaxed but still stylish vibe.

If you’re looking for a pretty, welcoming spot with great vegetarian food, good service, and a fun atmosphere, The Butcher’s Daughter is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of those places that consistently delivers a good experience, and I’d happily come back again.“

This place sells until they’re out.

I most recently got there 10 mins before opening on a weekend and there was a short line in front of me, with an even longer line behind me once i left.

There is no seating at all. It’s a tiny storefront with all of the space dedicated to the bakery and organizing orders. You order at the door.

The staff are really nice but there isn’t a ton of service bc they’re just taking the order and handing pastries.

​When one of my food items never arrived, I went inside and saw a 40-person line. I flagged down Steven M. at the espresso machine to see if he could point me in the right direction. Instead of passing the torch, Steven took full ownership of the situation. He was exceptionally polite, coordinated directly with the kitchen and register teams, and resolved the issue with a great attitude. This was NOT his job, and he did it all professionally with a smile. ​Customer service like Steven’s is rare.

“A friend and I visited Il Forno Trattoria last Saturday. After we left, my friend realised she had lost her grandmother's ring, of great sentimental value. We telephoned the restaurant even though it had already closed for the night, and the team immediately invited us back to search. When we arrived, the staff were cleaning up but had already started to look for the ring and helped us look through the restrooms and, kitchen. At least three or four employees actively helped, including providing gloves and helping us go through the trash to ensure it was lost in a restroom trash can. It was clear that everyone was genuinely concerned and willing to do whatever they could. Although the ring was not found, their professionalism, empathy, and willingness to stay late and actively help without question have left a lasting impression. I mustn’t forget the meal itself had been excellent: well‑prepared dishes, attentive yet unobtrusive service, and a well‑chosen wine list. Taken together with the staff’s extraordinary support, the experience showed Il Forno Trattoria at its best. It is the epitome of excellent service.
