“We really enjoyed ourselves at Rudy's Hideaway. Food was delicious! We shared an appetizer, fried calamari. For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back...highly recommend!“

We had the 3 piece fish and fries. The pieces are huge. They have their own tartar sauce which has an onion flavor, not a fan. Definitely squeeze a lemon on the fish and it's tasty.“

From the house made sauce fried chicken wings (kids enjoyed), to the ca canh chua, mango salad was refreshingly good, and the morning glory was very nice. Didn't try the pho, but kids and bro enjoyed. Bro said the banh xeo was a little hard. It just took a REALLY long time for them to prepare the food--one cook that day maybe? But food was very high quality. Friendly service. Can get a little loud inside, looks like it hosts big groups and events, they was a karaoke group in the back.“

“We visited Tugboat Fish and Chips for the first time and appreciated their nautical vibe. It’s a cozy spot with both booths and countertop dining making it a great place for a quick but high-quality meal. Their counter service was quite and easy.

​Even though their soda fountain was down when we went, they had plenty of canned sodas and Snapple options, so it wasn't an issue at all.

We shared the Seafood Sampler, which came with a generous spread of 2 fish, 3 prawns, 2 oysters, 2 scallops, and a side of fries. The batter was exactly what you want: crispy and light without being overly thick or greasy. We also tried the Shrimp Basket (fries included), which was just as tasty.

The real surprises were the appetizers! We ordered the Lumpia (8 pieces) and Potstickers (10 pieces). The potstickers had glass noodles in them, which is a rare find and made them a real treat.

If you’re looking for a solid fish and chips spot with a unique twist on their sides, definitely give Tugboat a try. Great portions, friendly counter service, and perfectly fried seafood. We’ll be back for more!“

Wish they automatically included all of the dining room condiments with your takeout order; they ask you if you want tartar sauce and ketchup. But, there's no lemon or malt vinegar offered. Their fish is also fried incredibly soft. Some of the edges were crispy. Next time I'll ask them to fry it longer. Fish portion is also very small.“

“My daughter treated me to lunch at Piatti's for my birthday. Parking was very convenient. We made reservations so we were seated upon arrival. The host was very friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming. Our server made recommendations. I ordered the vegan lasagna and my daughter ordered the ravioli with crispy russet potatoes. We also ordered the ciabatta bread with their signature dipping oil. Our food arrived within minutes. The lasagna was awesome 👌 My daughter really enjoyed the ravioli. The warm ciabatta bread and dipping oil was very flavorful. I highly recommend Piatti's. I give it a 👍 👍.“

When you order a chef’s choice selection, they will sometimes include real wasabi (along with the regular paste wasabi that is more common at restaurants). The paper hotpot was a unique and imaginative experience —no single bite was ever the same, but constantly evolving. “Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“This is the ONLY Mexican food restaurant in the area that matters. It is the closest to ✨authentic✨ in the area… (I’m in Roseville closer to the granite bay side.) The Flautas are usually my go to at any Mexican place and the ones here are perfection. Even the beans and rice are good. Tortas, are bomb. The asada is good, too. But my favorite thing to get here are the breakfast burritos. I will try more to add on to this review but after moving here early 2023, this is the only Mexican place I go to that is worth a damn.“

“Honestly, this place is a hidden gem! The food at Tapaltos Mexican Food is super flavorful and tastes really authentic — like homemade. I had the tacos and they were legit some of the best I’ve had in a while. Portions are solid, prices are fair, and the staff is super friendly. Definitely coming back soon!“
