“After a nice hike down to the cove, this was a welcoming and cozy spot to grab a coffee and soak up the beautiful California coastal atmosphere of Terranea Hotel and Resort. I've stayed at the resort and played some golf there as well. Most trips include a visit to Sea Beans. Staff is A+.“

“This was absolutely amazing. I stumbled on it one day from work looking for lunch and I was so pleased to find it! The crepes are amazing. So clean and the food was perfect. The icing on the cake was the amazing coffee I came and had the next morning. I reccomend this to anyone looking for a good savory or sweet option day and night.“

“This location for goodboybob has been a favorite of my wife and I since we moved to the south bay. Its convenient location adjacent to the public library and a block up from the beach makes it a frequent pit stop or starting point for us. The coffees are always delicious and the pastries are solid. Though the pastries can run a little pricey it is consistent with the surrounding market. I specifically am writing this review to highlight though the excellent service. Today one of the baristas (I believe his name was Saul??) generously and pleasantly explained the different beans when he noticed I was checking some of the bags and he spent the time to explain to be the different beans, the variations in roasting process that differentiate some of them, his favorites, and went as far to provide me a fresh hot sample of some that we were discussing. At the end of it I left with just the latte I came in for(which was exceptional as always), but I also left with greater appreciation for the coffee I was enjoying and a good idea of what I can look for and enjoy in my coffee.“

“So much to say… but ultimately, Colossus in Long Beach is WONDERFUL!! The BEST BLT I’ve ever had. Because they use high quality ingredients! Their Soft-Scrambled Egg Toast is divine. And everything is beautifully fresh. I love their country bread, baguettes, olive cumin bread, dinner rolls… but I have so much more to try Their pastries are scrumptious: Pecan Sticky Bun, Cardamom Bun, Kouign Amann, Financier, Marzipan Croissant, Sea Salt Brownie, OG Chocolate Chip Cookie. It’s all amazing and I’ve brought a number of friends to show off this incredible Belmont Shore Bakery. On Friday nights Colossus serves pizza into the night. Again, high-quality ingredients make their pizzas delicious. Plus they have interesting and unique combinations. They are tip free because their starting wage is $21/hr. Great customer service. Cute little space with some lovely specialty spice mixes, food items, merch, and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating, and they serve tasty coffees and teas. Colossus feels like a little bit of Europe on 2nd Street.“

“First time at this Cafe. Super nice atmosphere the people are great! My dad always says “that’s what makes a place good”. The food was very good (sorry no pics) but I ordered the Wildflower Two’s (eggs over easy w/ham and potatoes (not greasy) and rosemary garlic toast. Our server Andrea was super nice! “We found this place by accident and decided to try some açaí right away and I’m so glad we did. I have to say. if you’re looking for a real Brazilian superfood açaí experience, you’re going to love this place. It’s one of the best açaí bowls I’ve had outside of Brazil. The staff is very friendly, and on top of that, you can choose unlimited toppings. Highly recommend!“

“A delicious made from scratch falafel in a great sandwich. Friendly staff. Since my first review I have returned and tried their Chicken and Cheese sandwich. Even better then the falafel sandwich! It is a chicken salad sandwich with lots of yummy chicken salad and Swiss cheese. I had their regular French fries 🍟 Very tasty. Again the staff was very friendly and helpful. Did I mention the tasty chicken?😋😋“

“We stumbled upon this little café by chance while driving from the airport — and what a hidden gem it turned out to be! I honestly envy the office workers who get to have this place nearby every day.

It's a small café, but everything they serve is top-tier culinary art — the sandwiches, coffee, and salads are absolutely delicious. And the soups… just wow! We tried the pumpkin and broccoli soups — both incredibly tasty and nourishing. My 7-year-old son usually won’t touch broccoli, but he loved their broccoli soup and ate it with great pleasure.

We've only been there a couple of times over the past year, but it’s definitely on our list for every future trip to Los Angeles. Can’t wait to come back!“

“This is a good choice when you want shave ice dessert the flavors are natural I’m allergic to a lot of colors and they don’t add any additives so if you were sensitive as I am, I has not reacted to anything that I have order there, which is very common with this desert. they had lots of colors this place doesn’t.“

I love stopping by for the best acai bowls and smoothies while on the pier. They also have wide variety of snacks for grab n go. Service is always lightning fast and friendly.

“This coffee shop is an absolute gem! I’ve been working with the City since graduating in 2018, when the coffee scene was still in its infancy. I’m so happy that small, independent shops like this are helping to expand and freshen up the scene. This place is my absolute favorite!! It’s incredibly difficult to find a coffee bean that’s citrusy, chocolaty, and well-balanced. And the staff is super friendly and welcoming. I think I’m going too much because they know my preferences and even my name now, LOL. I’m so glad my fellow city people recommended this place. -Sal“

“Gum Tree Shop & Café is a small café and shop just a short walk from the Strand in Hermosa Beach. It’s been around for a while and feels very much like a local neighborhood spot.

Parking was easy right out front, which made the visit even more convenient. The café has outdoor seating, and you can sit with your coffee and feel the ocean air, with a steady flow of people and dogs passing by.

We ordered at the counter and had coffees, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. The food was fresh and straightforward, and the service was friendly and efficient.

The attached shop is a nice addition, with a thoughtful selection of home goods, cookbooks, and small gifts — an easy place to pick up something for a birthday or housewarming.

It does get a bit chilly in the morning, so bringing a light layer helps. Overall, a reliable Hermosa Beach stop for a casual breakfast or coffee after a walk along the beach.“

“Better tasting boba compared to the location in cerritos and delicious macroons. I got the specialty smootie milk and honey with mini boba and egg pudding. It tastes amazing. I wanted to try the Nutella and green tea macroons however they were sold out. I settled for the fruity pebble and I loved it.“

“I’m basing my review on two different cake donuts from two different visits….One was chocolate with vanilla icing, the other crumb-top—both of excellent donuts. The cafe also serves coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, but I came for the donuts.

The cafe itself is very clean, good music playing, booth tables lining the windows, upgraded with a digital menu board. Nothing fancy, yet nicely upgraded interiors with tasteful finishes. It’s a perfect traditional Los Angeles donut shop that has invested in offering a comfortable cafe experience with above average food.

Next time I’m ordering coffee and more donuts, maybe a sandwich, and bringing something to read and stay a while.“

“First visit and was not dissatisfied. Heard about the place through friends and the Yelp reviews backed up the claims. Nice gem of a place… I had the Protein Scramble and my wife had the Waffles! All the food was amazing and made to order🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 A comfortable lounge environment, tasty food, and great staff making sure we have everything we need. “Its unfortunate that probably the only people who will eat here are travelers on their way to Catalina because it truly is worth a drive for a great meal! Who'd a thought a breakfast burrito and an omelette would surprise anyone but that's exactly what it did. Both were delicious! I even heard my Fiancé say "Tjis is the best omelette i've ever had!" So there you have it. And did I mention the prices were extremely reasonable? Actually quite low for the quality! Have a bite on the water and enjoy everything about this little bistro!“

The people there were friendly and there was a generous amount of meat in the nachos. I’d come back here if I want a quick meal that’s not too far from the beach.“

“It was a slow morning but service was prompt with a wonderful breakfast served. Our waitperson was very attentive and made several suggestions to make out breakfast better. I would have loved a nice salsa for the eggs, but didn't really think of it to ask. A definite yes on whether we would return.“
