“One of our special date night places when in the San Diego area. Outdoor seating is great and food is wonderful. Rancho Santa Fe in the evening is quiet and you can just have a nice conversation over dinner.“

“Our first time at the Pony Room, for my birthday. I googled it and saw all the great reviews,. so we decided to check it out with friends. So glad we did! What a hidden gem for these foodies. Great variety on the menu for everyone and large portions that are very shareable. I had the Hamachi Crudo, two of my dining partners had the burger, which was amazing but splittable, another diner had the lamb popsicles, he said they were wonderful, but needed a little more spice. We all shared the pear salad, I loved the lavender dresssing. We also had the focaccia, so good! Our Italian friend said it was good but should just be called bread as it's not traditional focaccia. I loved it, but I tend to agree as my family also owns a traditional Italian restaurant. We shared teo bottles of wine, which are a very good value according to my ex-Somm husband. We will absolutely be back, and bring our friends. Stewart, our server was exceptional and made the experience even more awesome. I gave ambience four stars because although the entire place was absolutely beautiful, the bar, the entry courtyard and the outdoor patio we could see from our table, our actual table was in a corner of the plastic lined patio, which took away from the total ambience for me and felt a bit claustrophobic . I'm sure as soon as it warms up they will take the plastic away, but for me, next time I would request to sit inside the bar area or somewhere more open. Overall a wonderful find, you'll see us again soon!“

“It’s a beautiful restaurant in Carmel. It’s delicious. Serving sizes are huge and healthy. I loved all the healthy choices they had. I ended up trying the beat salad. It was amazing!“

“iI you are looking for a fun atmosphere with yummy food and drinks, this is your place. This was our impromtu date night and we will be back. We had riesling, beer, spicy chicken wings, garlic noodles, and the yummiest over baked and glazed brussels sprouts. To top it off, we ordered the bread pudding cream brulee and I must say the flavors of the vanilla ice cream, bread pudding, chocolate, and creme brulee all melts in your mouth. get ready for a party 🥳 in your mouth. “Came here for lunch on one of the weekdays. The weather was nice so we sat outside. We ordered a Turkey Melt (sliced tomatoes, horseradish cheddar cheese, wild argula, basil mayo on a Saide Rose ciabatta roll) and a Sante Fe Chicken Salad (romaine, super greens, grape tomatoes, roasted corn, natural cheddar, red bell peppers, tortilla strips, chipotle-agave vinagrette). “The food is as good as it looks! I couldn’t believe it when my parents asked me if I wanted to go to a Revolutionary War tavern replica & museum near the beach in northern San Diego. Like, huh? But the building reminded me of growing up on the east coast, and the museum reminded me of how lucky we are to have this country & those who fought for it. I loved the cozy interior with brick and wood. My parents are regulars, so they know the server, and he was super nice. They have a great Old Fashioned, and we all got the Seafood Trio (mine with double cod). The fingerling potatoes were to die for. It was all delicious. Amazing Caesar salad, too. Definitely had leftovers. Excited to go back for their happy hour. Can’t wait to try wagyu sliders, mussels, and clam chowder. Seriously, it all sounds good. Definitely worth a trip! And you’ll be back to try it all 😁“

“This place is beautiful. A wonderful atmosphere and great decor, we had a great view with lunch! We had great drinks and our appetizer was basically a charcuterie board, which was good. A little mediocre for the price but it looked beautiful! I had the fish and chips which was melt in your mouth delicious and my fiance had the short rib pastrami sandwich and she said it was delicious. Overall a good view with good food!“

The staff could do a much better job at being attentive as over 5 tables sat after us and we weren’t acknowledged until around 15 minutes from being sat.

The food is good and they change their menu from time to time and their happy hour ends is M-F 3-6PM.“

“Great food, excellent selection of wine to choose from. They let you pick anything from the bottle shop and enjoy it over dinner, but they charge a corkage fee for their own wine. That's poor. The restaurant is old and hasn't been updated in 20 years probably. Staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable evening but won't necessarily need to go back with so many other great options out there.“

“We wanted açaí bowls and found some really fun treats here. I loved that they had some great toppings: pollen, hemp seeds, ashwaganda, chia, etc.

My preference is less sweet, and it tasted like the açaí was sweetened as well as the granola… so that’s why 4 stars for me instead of 5. If you like sweet… you’ll love it.

We also wanted a green drink and the number of green ingredients was a little limited.

The Mac n Cheese with brisket was a recommendation from the fabulous Tracy and it was incredibly delicious. Everything was so good that we returned the next night!! Highly recommend SB Kitchen.“

“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“
