“One of our special date night places when in the San Diego area. Outdoor seating is great and food is wonderful. Rancho Santa Fe in the evening is quiet and you can just have a nice conversation over dinner.“

“Our first time at the Pony Room, for my birthday. I googled it and saw all the great reviews,. so we decided to check it out with friends. So glad we did! What a hidden gem for these foodies. Great variety on the menu for everyone and large portions that are very shareable. I had the Hamachi Crudo, two of my dining partners had the burger, which was amazing but splittable, another diner had the lamb popsicles, he said they were wonderful, but needed a little more spice. We all shared the pear salad, I loved the lavender dresssing. We also had the focaccia, so good! Our Italian friend said it was good but should just be called bread as it's not traditional focaccia. I loved it, but I tend to agree as my family also owns a traditional Italian restaurant. We shared teo bottles of wine, which are a very good value according to my ex-Somm husband. We will absolutely be back, and bring our friends. Stewart, our server was exceptional and made the experience even more awesome. I gave ambience four stars because although the entire place was absolutely beautiful, the bar, the entry courtyard and the outdoor patio we could see from our table, our actual table was in a corner of the plastic lined patio, which took away from the total ambience for me and felt a bit claustrophobic . I'm sure as soon as it warms up they will take the plastic away, but for me, next time I would request to sit inside the bar area or somewhere more open. Overall a wonderful find, you'll see us again soon!“

“Let me start by saying this place is top 5 favorite. We've done many dinners and a few lunches here. That being said, they need to work out their brunch offering some more. 3/4 dishes were fantastic. One was sad. The server was unfortunately not familiar with the brunch menu and was less than helpful with guidance. He also forgot add-ons. Again, we've never had any issued with dinner service and that's why we chose to do Easter brunch here. But still plenty of kinks to be worked out for this offering. Nevertheless, we'll be back for another dinner in the future.“

“Came here for lunch on one of the weekdays. The weather was nice so we sat outside. We ordered a Turkey Melt (sliced tomatoes, horseradish cheddar cheese, wild argula, basil mayo on a Saide Rose ciabatta roll) and a Sante Fe Chicken Salad (romaine, super greens, grape tomatoes, roasted corn, natural cheddar, red bell peppers, tortilla strips, chipotle-agave vinagrette). Everything was extremely refreshing and was a nice pick up for lunch to bring the energy back.“

“Really appreciated that they had a vegan option and knew what they were doing (the receipt stated that the brioche bun would be ciabatta, mayo would be subbed for plant-based mayo, cheese would be vegan cheese). It was really good, more than the typical burger, even with added arugula. Well-priced, great service, wonderful ambiance.“

“The food is as good as it looks! I couldn’t believe it when my parents asked me if I wanted to go to a Revolutionary War tavern replica & museum near the beach in northern San Diego. Like, huh? But the building reminded me of growing up on the east coast, and the museum reminded me of how lucky we are to have this country & those who fought for it. I loved the cozy interior with brick and wood. My parents are regulars, so they know the server, and he was super nice. They have a great Old Fashioned, and we all got the Seafood Trio (mine with double cod). The fingerling potatoes were to die for. It was all delicious. Amazing Caesar salad, too. Definitely had leftovers. Excited to go back for their happy hour. Can’t wait to try wagyu sliders, mussels, and clam chowder. Seriously, it all sounds good. Definitely worth a trip! And you’ll be back to try it all 😁“

“This is a really special restaurant. Their waiting staff is very attentive and deals quite well with children. They also go beyond with regulars in treating them as close friends. It’s quite unique and very special. I’ve also never had a meal here that wasn’t fantastic. I highly recommend any steak dish on the menu. The bread is real good as well. I recommend this restaurant for an upscale family gathering.“

“Great food, excellent selection of wine to choose from. They let you pick anything from the bottle shop and enjoy it over dinner, but they charge a corkage fee for their own wine. That's poor. The restaurant is old and hasn't been updated in 20 years probably. Staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable evening but won't necessarily need to go back with so many other great options out there.“

The staff could do a much better job at being attentive as over 5 tables sat after us and we weren’t acknowledged until around 15 minutes from being sat.

The food is good and they change their menu from time to time and their happy hour ends is M-F 3-6PM.“

“We wanted açaí bowls and found some really fun treats here. I loved that they had some great toppings: pollen, hemp seeds, ashwaganda, chia, etc.

My preference is less sweet, and it tasted like the açaí was sweetened as well as the granola… so that’s why 4 stars for me instead of 5. If you like sweet… you’ll love it.

We also wanted a green drink and the number of green ingredients was a little limited.

The Mac n Cheese with brisket was a recommendation from the fabulous Tracy and it was incredibly delicious. Everything was so good that we returned the next night!! Highly recommend SB Kitchen.“

“Nine of us had lunch here on a busy Saturday-glad we had reservations! The waitress did a fabulous job taking care of us and all our many requests. The food was excellent as well-the only exception might be the funfetti pancakes, which were a little sweet. My one BIG complaint was the LOUD MUSIC, especially the THUMPING BASS. I asked several times if they could turn down the volume, but no luck. I want to preserve my hearing, and for that reason I will not dine here again.“
