“Unico Tokyo Pasta is a nice spot for a date night or a casual hangout with friends. The vibe and decoration are modern and relaxed, so it’s a comfortable place to sit and enjoy dinner. The pasta dishes are decent and taste good, but nothing really stands out as memorable. The staff is super friendly and gives good recommendations, but overall this is the type of place you try once and probably won’t think about going back again. The pasta prices are on the higher side, and the portions are just standard.
Quick tips:
You can make reservations through Google Maps, but the restaurant usually isn’t very packed at night.
There’s plenty of parking shared with the pizza place and nearby shops behind the restaurant, plus street parking.“

“Heard about the newly opened IL Posta from our daughter, so we decided to check it out for a weekday lunch. They’ve got a solid lunch menu with special prices, and on Tuesdays you even get a free drink — nice little perk.
We tried a couple of pastas and they came out well. The pasta itself had a nice al dente bite, which I really appreciate. The Alfredo sauce was the star — creamy, cheesy, and just right. The vodka sauce leaned a little on the sour side, but still tasty overall. We also shared a flatbread; flavor was fine but I wished the crust had more crispiness to it.
Service was responsive and friendly, and parking was easy with plenty of street options nearby. Overall, a good new addition to the Riviera Village dining scene — looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu.“

“For Venice this was 5* for me. Attentive staff, good cocktail/wine list, and most marvelous sausage/rabe orecchiette pasta. Loved the meatballs, okay pizza (mostly because all LA pizzas taste the same, soggy in the middle, yeasty fluffy crust and whatever else on the middle), but the pasta...it was a little chewy, a little doughy (all in the best way possible), perfectly saucy, spiced to perfection. The Nebbiolo they source washes down splendidly after all the protein/carb intake. Servers are attentive, knowledgeable, non-intrusive but always around and quick.“

“I just had the best Bolognese of my life, and it deserves every bit of praise. The depth of flavor, the richness of the sauce, and the perfectly cooked pasta all came together like a little masterpiece on the plate. You can taste the freshness in every bite—nothing heavy or overdone, just true, comforting Italian cooking at its finest.
If you haven’t been to Venice Cucina yet, you’re missing out on some of the most authentic, beautifully prepared Italian food around. Everything feels fresh, handcrafted, and made with real care. I strongly encourage everyone to stop by and try it for themselves. This place is a gem, and their Bolognese alone is worth the visit.“

“The food is amazing, never disappoints. My friend and I ordered the chicken parm special (available Monday and Tuesday), the fennel salad - which I always find refreshing, and the butternut squash pasta dish - Everything was so flavorful. Another great dish that we didn't order last night is their pizza and their stone fruit burrata salad. It's always a great night at Love and Salt.“

“I have never been disappointed at Superfine. We ordered the Chicken Parm and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both dishes had that Italian home cooked feel. We also enjoyed a farmer's market peach salad that was both sweet and salty. Great Paloma cocktail as well. The service was very friendly and attentive.“

“YO! This pasta. OH MY GOSH. I got the angel hair with the pink sauce and … it was one of the best things to grace my lips. It. Was. So. Good. “Sandwich was hilariously large. This would definitely be good after the beach for 2 people. I chose one that sounded like the stuff would not go together as an experiment. Every ingredient is top of the line, sooooo good. Top tier Sammy for sure. Interior crazy small and crowded, better to order online and take it with u.“

“Wow! Finally a super authentic and friendly Italian place! Super tasty and the outdoor Venice atmosphere is super fun! You can build your own pasta! I enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo and added truffle sauce and sausage! Customer service is high quality also!“

“What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. To top it off, it’s family run and they are all the sweetest and most warm people I’ve encountered at any local restaurant. If you haven’t tried them yet, you need to stop by.“

“Happy New Year Y’all!!🥂✨🤘🏼🥳 As many of you know I’ve been playing piano and singing at Casa Ado in Venice for the last 3.5 years, for a total of 700+ shows. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. “Everything was amazing! The service was great. We didn't have to wait to be seated. Even though there was a big sporting event on the TV's , the noise level wasn't loud. We had a signature pizza there that was delicious. There was a slight wait for that but it wasn't overly long. This is our second time here and we will definitely be back!“
