“Unico Tokyo Pasta is a nice spot for a date night or a casual hangout with friends. The vibe and decoration are modern and relaxed, so it’s a comfortable place to sit and enjoy dinner. The pasta dishes are decent and taste good, but nothing really stands out as memorable. The staff is super friendly and gives good recommendations, but overall this is the type of place you try once and probably won’t think about going back again. The pasta prices are on the higher side, and the portions are just standard.

You can make reservations through Google Maps, but the restaurant usually isn’t very packed at night.

“For Venice this was 5* for me. Attentive staff, good cocktail/wine list, and most marvelous sausage/rabe orecchiette pasta. Loved the meatballs, okay pizza (mostly because all LA pizzas taste the same, soggy in the middle, yeasty fluffy crust and whatever else on the middle), but the pasta...it was a little chewy, a little doughy (all in the best way possible), perfectly saucy, spiced to perfection. The Nebbiolo they source washes down splendidly after all the protein/carb intake. Servers are attentive, knowledgeable, non-intrusive but always around and quick.“

“Got the Giulio sandwich. The small was still pretty big and decent price. The meats were fresh and the bread was soft. The staff was really nice.

The food can take awhile to make given it's so busy during the lunch rush. The market itself is nice for getting many Italian items like olive oil, fresh pasta and tinned fish.

The outdoor seating is nice but also next to a busy street so it can get loud.“

“Happy New Year Y’all!!🥂✨🤘🏼🥳 As many of you know I’ve been playing piano and singing at Casa Ado in Venice for the last 3.5 years, for a total of 700+ shows. There have been two paintings with me in them, a painted recording of this era of my life! It is unclear what will be happening with the restaurant going forward, as there may be some ownership change. Everyone is sort of holding their breath, and for now, music has not been included in January of 2020. There is talk it could go either way in Feb. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Thank you all who have come and supported me these past few years on Washington Square and I will keep everyone posted as to what settles out in the next bit of time. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The calamari was cooked to perfection, and the clam chowder was so authentic it reminded me of home back in Nova Scotia. I even returned the next day for the seafood linguine, and I’m still thinking about it two days later! If you’re in the San Pedro area, this place is an absolute must-visit.“

“We were headed to our hotel from Venice Beach and craving Italian. Driving past Italy’s Little Kitchen, we decided to take a chance and try it out. When I tell you words can’t describe how delicious their food was. My 5yr old son rarely eats much of his food when dining out, he’s more of a snacked/small meals throughout the day and he ate 3/4 of his pizza. Below is my leftover Chicken Piccata and a sliver of their fresh bread. I didn’t think my food could get any better, but this late night snack was 100% better. The chicken & vegetables marinated in the capers & sauce. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by. I promise you won’t regret.“
