That is still true today, the drinks are tasty, popcorn chicken is very good here. and they also have other snacks such as fries, fishball etc.

“My daughters love boba. Eventually, after trying different drinks the kids had ordered, I was ready to try a new boba drink... And I hated it. The flavor was great, but the toppings in the drink didn't have the texture I was expecting.

I could not drink it. My body wouldn't let me swallow. (Completely a me problem, because my kids thought it was fine.) But I was unhappy about it. The gentleman behind the counter switched it out for my regular order at no cost. (Thanks again! I really appreciate it!)

We can walk here, and we like to visit as often as we can. The people are wonderful, and the drinks are good.

“What a delightful place to stop and grab a delicious empanada or a boba drink. I just love the chicken adobo empanadas. The pastry is fresh, flaky, and crispy. The lightly spicy chicken and potato filling is tender and savory. So good. Be sure and try the house-made sweet chili sauce as well. For dessert, try the mango cheese cake empanada. It is tangy, fruity, rich with cream cheese and topped with a sugar-glazed crust. The prices are very affordable too!“

“I enjoyed visiting Cha Thai tea! The employees are always very welcoming and helpful with their recommendations. I really enjoyed this drink (I think it was a coconut avocado special? I forgot to look at the exact name of the drink) and pandan custard toast. I also enjoyed the mango coco the previous time I came here. They have a smaller, simpler menu that's not too overwhelming but the ingredients seem very fresh and tasty! I'll definitely be back!“

“If you care about the “tea” part of milk tea, go here. Store is two parts: boba shop and loose leaf tea shop.

Boba shop: huge selection of many different teas as well as flavors/cremas etc. my favorite part is that you can ask what tea they use in the drink and they will tell you what it is. This place is a dream. Prices are reasonable (~$5-6). It’s my favorite way to try new teas.

Their loose leaf selection is enormous, particularly for tieguanyin and puer. Not to mention they do sell teapots and other tea accessories. My favorite tea is their Strong Aroma Tieguanyin, which is also the tea used in their Tieguanyin Crema in the boba shop.“

“Very delicious. The Pandan waffle had so much Pandan flavour! It was like traveling in Southeast Asia. Staff is friendly, the Banh Mi was great too, and I absolutely loved the Thai tea (they don't make it as sweet as other stores which ia great). Will come again when traveling bay area again.“

“I was walking through china town and spotted someone walking with this boba in their hand, so I decided to find the shop. It’s located in an alley a few shops away from the fortune cookie store. It’s very well decorated and they have an extensive menu of boba & some other foods. I ordered the Brown Sugar boba milk tea, with less ice & 75% sugar. I was told that it’s usually 50% but I still stuck with 75% and wow it was SO GOOD! Honestly the boba was like a 9.5/10 level of good. The tapioca boba were part of the price, $6.75 for a large. I can’t comment on their fruit teas or food but I’m sure everything is just as tasty.“

As a wing lover they are a step above wingstop Buffalo Wild Wings or any wing I have had. “I have been going to Tay Tah cafe for years. Their Breakfast Energizer smoothie is my go-to lunch meal and my husband loves the Banh Mi sandwiches. We are so lucky to have this wonderful cafe in our neighborhood! The owner and employees are super friendly too!

“I crave the Green Plum Green Tea all the time, even with 0% sugar it's amazing. I like that they have soymilk for vegan boba, lots of different toppings, and kiosks to order on. They use high quality ingredients and the staff will always answer any questions, even when busy. My only complaints are that the music is really irritating (it's on a very short loop) and there's not many caffeine-free options. Overall this is still one of my favorite boba shops in the city and I will continue to go back, especially for my Green Plum Green Tea!“

What's even convenient for many of us who needs distraction as we wait for our order, there is a lotto scratchers machine. If your feeling lucky like I did... spent $30 on 1 scratcher and won $100. True story. I recommend their Avocado smoothie. The best Avocado smoothie in the Bay Area. I don't care and don't wanna hear it. Don't waste your money anywhere else. Go to Tapioca Cafe. Michelle makes the drinks better than her associates behind the register. She just knows how to make it. She's in the Boba game for over 10 years. “Chicken Tikka Masala (in a bowl, with white rice instead of brown) - The chicken could have stayed on the grill for an extra minute or two. The Tikka Masala curry was phenomenal - had the right spices, perfect amount of tomato sauce, and quite strong! The curry was contrasted with a white yogurt raita, which contrasted quite well with the umami-ness and the curry. Love the mints and cilantro, made it look very refreshing. The marinated and pickled cucumbers, I felt, had hints of sesame oil.

The pickled cabbages were a great addition to its refreshing dish. Overall, it was a great balance of the strong flavors of the curry and yogurt, and keeping the refreshing profile of the dish.

*I have had this multiple times. The pickling of the cabbage can be inconsistent. The white rice can sometimes be too soggy. The curry was pretty consistent throughout.

“Really good bubble tea! I always get the Thai Tea, Less Ice, 25% sweet (50% if I really need a sugar rush). Order online via the web site (they take apple, google pay, and Cash App.) usually done much faster than they say it will take. The cups do seem quite recyclable, just wish the straws were too! If they had 100% bio-degradable/compostable/recyclable set up would be 5 Stars.P.S. If you are used to other bubble T's I would start with 75%-100% sweet and work your way down to 50%. I find 50% to be perfect but I don't eat/drink much sugar.“

Wish I was given a spoon though, because I totally forgot I had 紅豆/azuki beans sitting at the bottom, and it was a waste of throwing them away at the end because I couldn't scoop them out. But no big deal. Tea is actually fresh here, and you get your choice of sugar level. No spot to sit down and enjoy, just some chairs to wait to grab your drink.“
