“Closest spot from DeAnza HS for coffee. I ordered Vietnamese coffee - they should update the picture on the menu because it shows a 12oz cup. The size that came out is almost half the size but is normal when there’s less ice - people might not know this and complain. For me, I like it this way as you can taste the full flavor. Very clean space but a bit run down. I wish the employee was playing music, it was so quiet… maybe because it was the weekend and school isn’t in session/less student customers. Putting one star down because the last time I went, I got a passion fruit boba and it just tasted like sugar in water with no fruit-flavor. This Vietnamese coffee though was a good turn-around/choice and hit the spot!“

“What a delightful place to stop and grab a delicious empanada or a boba drink. I just love the chicken adobo empanadas. The pastry is fresh, flaky, and crispy. The lightly spicy chicken and potato filling is tender and savory. So good. Be sure and try the house-made sweet chili sauce as well. For dessert, try the mango cheese cake empanada. It is tangy, fruity, rich with cream cheese and topped with a sugar-glazed crust. The prices are very affordable too!“

Their tea is so good by itself that my favorite drink from them is the plain green tea with honey—no need for sugar or other flavors to make the drink worth $7. Moreover the inside is always clean and well-maintained, and the workers are amazing! “I've been here for a long time and for whatever reason my original review is not here. Nonetheless this place is amazing. A diamond hidden in the rough, an oasis for those who need a boba fix. It's a local store filled with anime goodies and is a TCG haven for Magic, Lorcana, Yu-Gi-Oh, and of course POKEMON! This is the place to be. There are different nights for specific TCG's and they have pokemon trade nights. I recommend joining the discord. Come by and enjoy a drink made by Em, or the guys talking about all the TCG's. “Golden Tea Shop is so so good! I have recommended this place to my family and friends and they always want to come back! It may not be the fanciest boba shop, but it is truly an underrated one.

I’ve tried several boba shops in the Bay Area and this one has really good teas and toppings that are more niche (peach gum, tea jelly, etc). My personal favorite is the peach gum milk tea with black tea. It is so creamy with a nice tea taste, and I love the toppings it comes with.

Ever since I moved from SoCal to the Bay Area, I’ve been trying to find a popcorn chicken spot that meets all my requirements: has to have basil, use chicken dark meat, super crispy, fresh, consistent, and reasonably price.

This is THE SPOT! And the pricing is so good especially in this economy. Half size is decent portion for $7.55 and Full size is $10.25.

The service is as good as it gets - people generally do takeout. You order on the monitor outside or can do mobile order, and they’ll text you when your order is ready, which really helps if you’re struggling to find a parking spot.

Parking is typical in Chinatown - it’s usually bustling and packed but no one is going to give you shit if you emergency park on the street haha.

The inside of the place has some snacks and candy. You CAN sit down and eat there but it’s not the best dining spot and there’s a lot of clutter.

In my opinion, drinks and boba are pretty mid. It does the job but nothing amazing.

If you’re unfamiliar with Boba, this is the place to go. The guy who is usually at the cash register (with the cute blonde highlights) is really great, super kind, patient, knowledgeable and doesn’t treat you like you are supposed to know how to order Boba cause that’s BS (And honestly, typical of most Boba places). The menu is extensive and there are many different options and it might feel like a labyrinth, but take your time and ask questions because they answer them all. You can also order from the kiosk and they have pictures doesn’t get easier than that.

This is a fantastic place for first timer‘s who are new to Boba as well as people who been drinking it long before it got hype (like me).

The food is bomb. I usually get the meatball sandwich with egg and the char sui banh mi. I can get two drinks and two sandwiches for under 40 bucks. They’re not trying to rob you here - they just serve great food.

Also, the restrooms are clean, and my dog can chill in there while I down a sandwich.

So go see them, but don’t blow up the spot because they’re already busy enough.“

“I ordered all the self service kiosk. It got myself a fresh taro mochi milk tea with pearls, less ice, 50% sugar. It was perfect for me not too sweet and not watered down. It took less than 10 minutes for three drinks to come out. While waiting, there is a very cute set up by the front of the store where you could take pictures. They have various snacks at the back of the store available for purchase.“

“When searching for a quick, easy, and filling lunch during my break, I ended up here at this cute little Viet Bagel & Banh Mi shop called Tay Tah Cafe!

When you first enter, you’re guided by arrows that lead you to the ordering tablet, or you can order at the main counter. The shop is small, but has plenty of counter seating and some small tables available as well! In between the front door and ordering, there’s a selection of chips and snacks for you to browse as well.

I was initially looking to order Banh Mi but was a bit intimidated by the $17/banh mi price tag. I opted in for an open face Asiago Bagel with Lox for $13 and placed my order. Breakfast orders that are $10+ get a free house coffee as well, so of course I opted in for it!

There’s a bathroom just around the corner from the ordering kiosk, but while I was making my way over there, the kind staff let me know that they are actually sold out of lox. They offered me a refund or to change what I ordered. I decided to switch to the Asiago Bagel with Ham, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese since it was the same price as the Lox!

My coffee came out first, and the person who gave me my coffee also filled up my cup with ice when I asked! The coffee itself had a nice deep & bitter flavor which I look for in a house coffee.

The sandwich was STUFFED full. I’ve never had a bagel breakfast sandwhich where I’ve quite had to unhinge my jaw like this. My photos did not do the sandwich justice, but I promise it’s so much bigger than you’d expect!

The eggs were perfectly fluffy and smothered in cheese. The ham and bacon were cooked to my personal liking. If you like crispy bacon, maybe mention that to them, because it was perfectly chewy for me. The bagel, was soft, fluffy, yet so bouncy, and I LOVE that there are poppy seeds mixed into their Asiago bagel.

The cost to quantity ratio for the breakfast sandwich was 100% worth it. I’ll definitely be back when I need a hearty sandwich.“

“This is my go-to place for boba. I enjoy their variety. I normally have the taro with Almond milk, strawberry popping Boba and lychee jelly. It brings back childhood memories of strawberry milk. I also like the pineapple tea and the lemon one. However, I'm caffeine sensitive so I try to avoid them late in the day so that I can sleep. The inside is clean. I have never ordered food from here so I can't speak to that. I like that they have a stand where you can put in your own order and add your own extras.“
