“Tucked away on Mare Island, this little coffee shop is amazing. They use local coffee beans, and the vibe is so relaxed. They are good friendly, with a water bowl in front, and a really neat patio in back.

The coffee shop itself is an old, kinda Victorian style house where they have transformed the whole bottom level into a coffee shop/seating area. There are photos of Mare Island from when it was a US Navy base. It's very cool.

Plus right now they have it all decorated for Halloween. Highly recommend this place. Good first date option, provides a lot of conversation topics.

“A little on the pricier side for some small pizza pieces, but the pizzas pack a great bunch of flavor in each bite!
I got to try two pizzas (on accident!) they were very quick to respond to their error in my order by giving me a second serving of the pizza I originally ordered! I wasn't going to complain about the initial error (they gave me a margherita pizza instead of meat combo), but afterwards the manager asked if I wanted my original order and even gave me a second serving which I took to go.
Lovely atmosphere and just the perfect small hole in the wall feel.
Moving onto the pizza itself, perfect focaccia bread with a nice crunch that dissolved into a buttery soft dough. Plenty of savory sauce and a perfect zing of spice in the sausage and pepperoni to finish off the texture and taste. It also didn't seem saturated in oil and was just an all around pleasant bite. It didn't feel heavy and rich and was just perfect for a lunch/brunch choice.“

“Hal’s is IMO the best cafe in Albany - all the baristas not only serve beautiful, delicious oat cappuccinos but they also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes u want to stick around. I look forward to coming back for the Felicia wakin bacon panini (in the photo, it's actually on sour dough because they ran out of panini bread but may I say, it was so good. The quality of bread that sour dough was. Egg fried hard with crispy edges, the sauce had a small spicy kick, there was a perfect amount of Cheddar cheese that was completely melted like a proper sandwich with melted cheese aught to be. Freaking delicious. Oh yes, another star of the freaking show was the Avocado toast on multi grain bread (because they ran out of sour dough, probably from making it the two wakin bacons lol) anyway, it was loaded, perfectly just uber yummy with freshness, care and felt so good to consume. They were both so good. Seriously, it's one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Truly incredible in taking you for a wonderful mouth journey of texture and flavor. Do yourself a flavor and stop by here already. They're great!

“Just had my 3rd dining experience this morning and all 3 breakfast meals have been fantastic! As a person on the carnivore diet, I find it refreshing I can order an all protein meal and be completely satiated without paying an arm and a leg. Eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon was delicious. And who could have thought a simple burger patty could taste so good. Must be a magic griddle! Highly recommend! Oh, and service is amazing. “No-frills hole in the wall donut shop. One of the best donut shops in Vallejo, in my opinion. They do take card, but it’s sometimes easier to bring cash as there is not a minimum. Whenever I get a donut craving I’m there. Crunch doughnuts and crunch covered cinnamon rolls are our favorites!“
