“The food in the restaurant is wonderful. They could use more help when busy as we often can’t get more refills or drinks since the waiters have a lot of tables. We tried DoorDash three times and the food was bad. They didn’t include tortillas with fajitas, a burrito was uncooked where even the cheese was not melted on it. Go in to dine, but don’t order delivery.“

“This place is amazing. The decor, the lighting, the ambiance, it's perfect. The bartenders are great and the drinks are incredible. Do you want an actually good dirty Martini? They have one on the menu! The margaritas and (true) classic cocktails are great too. The music is top notch too with an in-house DJ on the days I've been there, but I will say it's too way too loud on the lounge side of the bar. The dance floor is small but poppin, but the lounge side is a bunch of people leaning too far forward in their chairs and attempting to scream at each other over the music. We left with sore throats just having normal conversation, lol. That's the only point to dock, please mildly adjust the sound system on the one side of the house.“

“The atmosphere is popping here! Excellent DJ, very welcoming people, and good vibes. The only downside is that it is a very small place for the number of people that arrive; no dance floor, only one pool table, and hard to order a drink because of the very crowded bar. However, it is a very good spot for the Black community and for anyone, of course. Everyone was so happy to be here. This was my first time visiting, and I am confident I have found a new local to hang out at.“

“I loved their smoked Gouda burger with the best sweet potato fries that I've ever had! Nice menu, something for everyone. Excellent cocktails, Slay's own wines, and always my favorite desserts at all of the David Slay restaurants. We couldn't stop moaning between bites of the seasonal pear almond tart! The apple berry crumble was sold out, otherwise we would have ordered both. Lively ambiance and neighborhood gem.“

“Such a Phenomenal Spot!! The atmosphere is amazing; the whole concept with the beer/wine is brilliant and well-executed. The food is delicious and has a wide variety of choices on the menu (perfect for everyone). Very reasonable pricing (very inexpensive especially for the quality). Literally everything you could want or think of is here -- there's even board/card games. Events are hosted! Wish it was closer to me because we would come every weekend! 10/10 RECOMMEND!“

“I had a great experience here. I called once we landed to see if we would be able to check in early, and they said yes. My husband was so sick from the plane ride, so we were grateful for that. The room we were given wasn’t cleaned, but the front desk immediately found us one that was ready. I love the waiting area set up, and there was a cute large connect 4 game. I enjoyed a drink a bar, the bartender was very sweet. The floors are confusing, so be sure to ask the staff what floor your room is on. Parking was simple, it’s designated just for the hotel. You can pay hourly or do all day. There is a shuttle to the airport I think. We rented a vehicle though. You are walking distance from a pharmacy and a few restaurants. “Great spot in Lawndale/Torrance area. Awesome for catching Dodger games. They have plenty of amazing beer on draft. They also offer wine and other hard liquor here. I like the decor they have set up here. Parking can be a pain since its right on Prairie but if you drive into the neighborhood you usually can find a spot. If you like brooklyn bar down hawthorne you'd like this place. Similar vibe.“

“Dive bar. I like that. 2 pool tables. Both are pretty damn good. Locals are a bit on the “I’m so tough” side. But not so bad to keep you away. Occasionally there are good shooters there. Good bartenders… and again, 2 good pool tables. I’m in!

“Stopped in after dinner at Sushi Bei. The place have been upgraded a bit since the last ownership. Way less dive feeling (but the old way was great too!).We just had a couple drinks and didn’t sing. The atmosphere was great! A very fun party and people were having a great time.They have many premium liquors and several mezcals (my fave). Looks like they no longer have the private room in the back.I would go back and would recommend!“

“Great place to have gotten married, it feels like yesterday and yet it was over 3 years ago now.... It was quiet, secluded, with just the two of us our son, and the officiant. The officiant brought everything to the house for us to sign and submitted everything to the courthouse for us. Private marriage license, the certificate all of it... never had to leave the base.“

Had a wonderful dinner at Blu. Our server Isabel was fantastic and such a kind and friendly person. Juan Carlos assisted and was also a very kind and professional individual. We started with drinks and wings. Next we ordered our entrees. My wife had the Sesame ginger salad with grilled chicken and I had the turkey club sandwich. We had good conversation with Isabel who was so nice and genuine. The ambiance was positive and comfortable.
Highly recommended

Previous visit: We had breakfast a BLU in San Pedro and the food was good but the service from Pedro and Genka was exceptional.
What wonderful people. I had the Denver omelet with potatoes, sourdough toast and fruit with coffee and OJ and my wife had two eggs with oatmeal, fruit and hot tea. A nice morning with great people and good food.
