“It was raining when we visited so they set us up on the porch of the main building, which I LOVED. They had the heaters going and offered a cozy blanket. We were allowed to walk literally anywhere we wanted which was such a cool experience to see the bottling process and the cellar. “During our visit, we had the pleasure of experiencing the beautiful surroundings of this Napa Valley winery. The outdoor area resembled a peaceful garden, featuring charming sculptures and a stylish building with an old charm. The entrance, adorned with a unique arch, led us to a souvenir shop offering a variety of items, including wines and scented candles, from which we purchased some delightful gifts.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our retrospective decade tasting with Ryan G. He shared his in-depth knowledge of the history of the winery and the wine, and their legacy. He made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Flowers were still blooming in the garden area, too, even though we visited in late October. This tasting was the highlight of our trip to the region (except the balloon ride was awesome, too!). We were happy to order selections we tasted and a few more. Thank you, Ryan!“

“A truly memorable experience at Rutherford Hill Winery!
We were hosted by Ryan, who did a fantastic job accommodating our family’s diverse wine preferences. I’m a red wine enthusiast (who will happily enjoy a white), my wife prefers white and just lightly sips reds, and our daughter leans toward white but loves experimenting with new reds. Ryan navigated all of that with ease and curated a tasting that delighted each of us.

The setting was just as spectacular as the wine—perched high on the hill with sweeping views of the valley below. We stayed cool under a canopy of umbrellas while sipping through a generous and varied lineup of wines. Everything we tasted was so good that we ended up joining the wine club on the spot!

The team was so efficient with our order that the shipment nearly beat us home! A huge thanks to Ryan and everyone at Rutherford Hill for an unforgettable afternoon in wine country. We’ll definitely be back!“

The only thing that stood out was we were reprimanded for taking photos with a state of the art camera that flys and they thought it was a drone and were spying. Kinda an awkward moment but then that, we would definitely go back but just take our Polaroid instead! 😆“

“Ate there for the first time yesterday and can't wait to go back. We're vegetarian but had no trouble finding incredible offerings. The mushroom/leek risotto was the best I've had. The sweet corn tamale appetizers were surprising and flavorful, and the grilled avocado tostados fabulous! On beautiful grounds with fresh produce growing beside the restaurant. “Hall Wines was an experience beyond anything that I could have imagined. When we came to wine taste at Hall, our expectations were not set. I've been too many wineries in St Helena, but I've never been to Hall. The grounds were absolutely immaculate. The winery was stunningly, beautiful. Our server Alfredo Hernandez was knowledgeable, warm, friendly, inviting, and a superb host. I love talking about wanting and asking questions as I taste and both Alfredo and Tom were both a pleasure to engage with. We enjoyed absolutely everything in our experience. We enjoyed everything so much that I decided that after July of this year, I would like to switch my wine club over to Hall from another wine club that I have in Napa. “The service was great — we were early on a hot, hot day. James welcomed us right in and set us up with water and a glass of wine to cool us down. Even though we were more than an hour early, the kitchen prepared our bacon and the wine tasting was set up. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! The bacon slices were over a quarter inch thick and topped with amazing sauces. Each slice paired perfectly with Napa wines produced at the Priest Ranch vineyard. If you’re a fan of bacon (and who isn’t), this pairing cannot be missed. We will recommend this tasting to all friends who find themselves in the Napa/Yountsville area!“

“Had our first visit to this beautiful winery on Thursday. This was our 4th visit to Napa Valley and this is definitely a top 5. Feels like you're visiting a friend in the countryside. They have beautiful gardens filled with flowers and fruit. If you love dogs this is the place for you. We met the 11 year old golden and heard there are more puppies there too. The people are so friendly and knowledgeable and the wines are so delicious and different than the other wineries. The artwork a the bottles makes it even more special.Thinking Cap white is a blend of grapes we have never heard of and was super delicious. The Pro Que No is a fantastic easy to drink Red blend. We left with 2 bottles of that one. Every wine we tasted was a winner. Met Julia (the winemaker) and her wonderful husband (the farmer). Two really down to earth people who seem to love what they do. Go visit. You will not be disappointed!!“

“Out of all of the wineries/vineyards we visited, we got the best education from B Cellars. Forest was a wealth of fascinating information about how wine is made. While we enjoyed our tasty charcuterie spread with our tastings, he showed us maps of all of the vineyards in the valley and explained the importance of the location of where a grape comes from. Our private tour of this stunning winery also included the caves, their gardens, honey bees, and it's production facility-all meticulously maintained. Wonderful experience.“

“Candi! What an experience at JCB! This place was recommended by Tonya, a sommelier. I opted for a white flight and my friend went with the bubbles. The place is bright, eccentric, unique, fun and blinged out! Sitting at a high top near the peacock we began our flights with the amazing Candi! She is attentive, inviting and with each pour she described in great detail what our senses would smell & taste.
We enjoyed using the large crystal goblets on the tables. Way cooler than the typical wine glass that most tasting rooms provide. Nothing is typical at JCB. We also had the experience of being given a slice of Tom cruise cake by another large group. What are the odds ?! ( Thanks again) Come have some bubbles, talk to strangers and enjoy. “One of our favorites while visiting Napa! Charlie from Hagafen did a complimentary tasting at our bed and breakfast in Yountville. We loved the Pinot Noir and knew we wanted to try more. Walked into the Hagafen Cellars on a Friday afternoon and Charlie was able to help us again and give us an above and beyond experience. Would recommend the Hagafen Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc!“
