One standout feature is the mural, officially titled “At Ease Brewing Co. Mural.” It was created by Glen Warren, creative director at Sacramento-based Commuter Industries.

The artwork blends a mid-century modern and space theme, featuring stylized rockets and celestial elements. It complements the brewery’s vintage military vibe while still feeling playful and inviting.

What I really appreciate is that the business gave the artist full creative freedom rather than forcing a strict military theme. That generosity shows in the final result: it feels authentic and visually striking.

As the artist shared, the goal was to create something bold, simple, and joyful: an “Instagram hotspot” that brings a moment of optimism, especially reflecting post-2020 sentiment.

“When I first went to Fire Taproom, I was truly amazed. The atmosphere, including the workers, were extremely friendly. The food I ordered (the Classic Burger) was absolutely delicious. My kids ordered the Chicken Tenders and wouldn't stop telling me about how much they loved it. My husband ordered the FTR Chicken Sandwich and really liked it. The fries were also amazingly seasoned, unlike any other restaurant I have been to before. The place was truly amazing, and I can't wait to come again.“

“The venue is unique and the beers are good. The brisket and the half spicy Hawaiian chicken were good but not something I'd make a special trip for. Both of them came out cold as well. The collards were surprisingly good. I'd definitely try them out again and try something else on the menu.“

“Spent an evening here and had a good time hanging out. Lots of different areas to sit and the building itself is really cool. There is a rooftop area with seating and fire pits and a DJ who played good dancing music! I would agree that one or two bartenders seemed not too interested in being there but the rest were very friendly and helpful. I didn’t realize there are rooftop rules as you can’t bring food or drinks you order downstairs to the rooftop and vice versa. A bartender had explained those rules to us after we expressed going to the rooftop. Although I wanted to order a Sour and hang out on the rooftop, but the sour and most ciders are served downstairs Not too big a deal as there is outdoor seating downstairs too. Would definitely check it out again if I am in the area.“
