“Fantastic dim sum and noodles. I got the classics, such as siu mai and xiao long bao, and a bowl of mapo tofu. The tofu was szechuan style, so it was full of that delicious numbing flavor. The food was served quickly and service was so friendly. I will definitely be back when im in the area.“

“This is my favorite restaurant in Sacramento without question. I moved to the area about three years ago now, and it quickly became my go-to comfort food. Even when the pandemic started and the restaurant shifted to takeout-only, the food remained consistently excellent. I also want to say 'thank you' to the couple that runs the restaurant as well. They're both very kind and treat their customers well. P.S. I heartily recommend the house-made Thai iced tea.“

“Wonderful small place to get ramen. I had the spicy garlic ramen and it actually had a kick to it. Please be patient as everything is made to order. The staff had a lot of pep in their step and we're constantly checking on it.

“We ordered the Kuro Tonkotsu Ramen, kids ramen, Kara age and gyoza. The gyoza was a little too gingery and mushy. My girl loved her kids ramen and devoured it. The Kara age was juicy but on the softer side although delicious. Our tonkotsu ramen was good but temperature felt off. It also needed more spice which we asked for. Their service was really good and attentive.“

“Pipo is unique in that it has Thai & Ramen both! I stopped in for a quick lunch in between meetings and was very happy with the food, service, and pricing. For spicy lovers, you can adjust your level and spicy actually means spicy here. Their Thai tea selection is excellent as well. If you want to support a local small business run by a wonderful family, then this place is definitely worth a stop!“

“They serve Japanese curry which is a bit hard to find at other Japanese restaurants❤️❤️ Amazing comfort food for a cold and rainy day! I had the katsu curry and my friend had the curry udon, both were amazing! Would highly recommend stopping by for some of their more simple dishes❤️“

“It's a nice, quiet, cozy place to grab some tasty Japanese food. Tonkatsu ramen was really good, same with the spicy edamame. I only gave 4 stars because it's a bit pricy. Other than that, it's a really cute place with great service.“

“1st time trying Ju Hachi On New Years, and here's my Sacramento Downtown reality check.

Ju Hachi is a spot where fresh shipments of fish come first, and you can Taste it immediately. Clean cuts, fresh, succulent and juicy - the Chefs choice sashimi of the day was ocean trout + hamachi + salmon. For the fitness folks that need high protein macro friendly eats, Ju Hachi is your spot.

For service pacing, the holidays are times we're most businesses are understaffed and patience is truly needed with compassion to understand the service here stands out because they are focused on making sure we have a quality meal despite high volume customers in a small packed place.

Ambiance, the aesthetics makes the place great for family , business meetings, or even bonding time for folks that want to escape work chaos. The music playing was the 90's and 2000s RNB so - best believe it was a vibe.

Tip : sit at sushi bar if you can, order with intention, and build in a little grace and compassion because good food takes time, and so do the folks that make this place possible.“

“Grateful to Otoro for being open late, since there are so few options outside of fast food. Head Chef Jason was a pleasure to talk to, and check out his beautiful paintings which are on the walls! The 10-piece sashimi was excellent (hanami was my favorite) and he recommended the deep fried cheese cake which was very good! Highly recommend!“

“I love coming here before a movie cuz; 1. The ramen is always hot, satisfying and comforting, 2. They expertly tweak and work on their Chashu pork recipe and marinade and l swear it gets better every time, 3. Mr. Vic is one helluva up-and-coming chef and is always down to talk Cinema, movies, or filmography in addition to being an amazing server, 4. The entire staff is friendly and attentive, 5. “First of all the barbecued chicken with rice and macaroni salad has no sauce on it, they give you one small sauce and i mean small. So I always ask for extra sauce and I am willing to pay for it. The only time I actually got the one extra sauce was because I was on them about it and they were about to forget it that time as well. I dont know whats up with them and their sauce. Is it expensive to make ornate they in short supply I mean c'mon already. If I could clear up the sauce thing. I would gladly give 5 stars because everything outside of the sauce problem, everything is great.“
