“This place is a classic little deli! Their sandwiches are always amazing, and they have a wide variety to pick from. I recommend getting Guigni juice on your sandwich. They have tons of other things like drinks, chips, old-time candies/ treats, and my favorite deviled eggs ever.”

“They really have their service down. The staff was extremely attentive in an unobtrusive way, on top of being personable. Truly no notes on the service. The dining room atmosphere was decent. My only complaint is the bathroom location makes it feel disjointed from the restaurant (totally nitpicking there). I heard they are trying to get a michelin star, given the price point, and that the dishes were for the most part tweaked/elevated versions of classic dishes, I don't think the food was quite consistently excellent enough to get there. I think they are reasonably close. The crab pasta course was overwhemed a bit by the red pepper sauce it was a touch too acidic which competed with the flavor of the crab. the cheese desert seemed a little simplistic, and they weren't interesting enough to make up for the simplicity. The tuna carpaccio, while very tastey and well balance flavorwise, didn't highlight the tuna which was lightly seared, muting the flavor, and making it not feel like a tuna carpaccio dish. The duck was well cooked, but all the seasoning was in the sauce making it you you had to get the ratio of duck to sauce right for the seasoning to work. Ideally it would have been more evenly distributed. I think they could also use a little work on portion size. The carpaccio, and rissoto were a bit too big.
All of these details are very nitpicky, and we had a very nice evening, but if they want to get to that next level, I think these details need more attention.”

My partner and I visited on my 30th birthday. We couldn’t sit outside because of the rain, but the team set up a lovely table for me inside, complete with a big birthday balloon. Thank you for making my birthday so special!”

“We were 8 people going to the winery for a tasting. We had the best experience. Marcus welcomed us and showed us around, after which James seated us and did our wine tasting. We had cheese platters as well, and James went out of his way to create our little own wine pairing with bites from the platter. The whole experience was amazing, and we really enjoyed the wines. “If you want to learn about wines, it’s the place to visit”

“I had the best ceviche I ever had on our visit on November 6, 2025. It was stunningly presented and contained a lot of very fresh seafood not all of which I can remember, but it was presented in a coconut sauce with dots of green oil (pumpkin maybe) and topped with a baked or fried slice of plantain balanced on top. There were also nasturtium leaves placed around the ceviche and it was beautiful to look at as well as eat. I followed up with stuffed roasted quail, also beautifully presented and prepared and my husband and I both finished with a delicious passionfruit cheesecake. My husband had little pieces of lamb filets with a variety of vegetables for his main course, roasted to pink perfection and again the presentation couldn't have been more appealing. Most of the greens and the mini peppers and tomatoes we saw growing in the huge vegetable garden all around the restaurant and the Culinary Institute. We were also grateful that the professor who was in charge of that particular evening's students (I think he was their hospitality prof) made it possible for us to have dinner there that very evening, even though the restaurant was fully booked. Kudos to the students of the CIA. They are certainly set up for a successful career in hospitality and, of course kudos to their teachers. Bravo!”

It's great to get a local perspective of Spring Mountain's historical and current place in the Napa Valley wine industry. The setting was lovely and the wine was nice. “We had a lovely time visiting the Schweiger winery! We had a great tasting outside on the terrace with a beautiful view over the estate. Wendy was a great host, answering all our (many) questions and told us all about the history of the winery and the vines as well as Napa Valley (as it was our first time). We love Andy Schweigers style - especially for his Cabernet Sauvignon and „Dedication“ edition - he’s putting his own spin on the wines!

“Sadly they were not available to host us for a tasting but in the true old school Napa-style hospitality which there is little of these days (we are locals and have been going for decades...it feels so corporate now!!!), the woman I was corresponding with graciously offered to drop a tasting off at our hotel for us. So far we've tried the pinot and chard which are amazing. I will definitely be ordering wine from here and will hope to come up and visit and buy more next time while in Napa.”

“I recently had a great experience at Duckhorn Winery. I’m not much of a wine drinker myself, but my wife is, so I usually tag along to tastings. We booked the “Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Tasting” online, and when we arrived, we were greeted by the beautiful setting — a charming house surrounded by lush greenery.

We were met by Miguel, our wine specialist, who made the whole experience truly enjoyable. He was easygoing, knowledgeable, and made someone like me, who knows very little about wine, feel completely at ease. Miguel not only paired the wines with food perfectly but also shared the history and origins of each bottle, making it feel like we were taking a journey through Napa Valley.

He even gave us some excellent recommendations for local restaurants, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, Duckhorn Winery offers beautiful scenery, excellent wine, and exceptional customer service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Napa!”

The food was fantastic and we all had a great time. What we ate: Hamburgers, Crab Louie salad, mixed salads and salmon.
