“Starting with the most important thing, the food was fantastic. I got the beef burrito and my friend got the chili and pork stew, and we both loved our meal. We agreed we'd definitely come back because of the food alone. The restaurant operated for 6 years in NYC before moving to San Anselmo, and they've obviously got some great recipes under their belt. The menu is very small, but it seems what is on there is great. The food's presentation was great, too.

The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing at all. The food was brought out in 10 minutes, a perfect amount of time.

Our biggest complaint was that the backless wooden seats (not the booth) were pretty uncomfortable. My friend also said her cocktail didn't have quite enough alcohol and too much ice. Additionally, the music was just a bit too loud for a restaurant. All that being said, the very open decor scheme and atmosphere felt welcoming and original compared to other restaurants... In a good way.“

“Just to be clear, this is not a “4 star restaurant”, it’s a 4star dive bar! Unassuming outside, friendly and large inside. My bro-in-law and I went there for late dinner after doing some work on his house. The kitchen was still open, with a fairly large menu; lots of burger options, a special chicken dinner and more. We sat at the bar, had some beers (Guinness on tap!) and delicious burgers with tasty sides. If you’re in the area and looking for a drink and a good meal, I say check it out. (Note: not for kids)“

“Amazing place and people!!!! The manager, Candice, is so sweet and helpful! We got married at Deer Park Villa nearby and chose to have our after-party at Nave's after looking into multiple bars in the area. Nave's stood out to us over the others because of the friendly, casual, laid-back, and fun vibes! Candice made it so easy for us, helped us coordinate with Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria in town to have late night food there and ready for us when we arrived, and even let us bring our DJ and allowed him to set up his equipment and continue to play for all of our guests. We cannot thank her or Nave's enough for this! They even let us come back and do it all over again the next night! Some of our best wedding memories were made here this weekend. All of the staff and other customers were so friendly and welcoming to us! We definitely recommend Nave's for a wedding after-party or event! “Really welcoming atmosphere for our group as we were walking around Sausalito and looking for something approachable after a long walk across the bridge. Pool tables, juke box, long bar, cheap drinks. They had some special flavored tequilas they were making some nice on-the-fly cocktails with for some in our group, and we were really happy with them.“

“Me and multiple coaches from my team visited Backstage Marin for dinner and a coaches meeting. The hosts of the restaurant were extremely welcoming and accommodating (shout out Ed). They have a nice venue inside but we ate outside. The seating outside had heaters (shown in the image) and blankets. We tried both of their pizza options and they were awesome. They best dish we had was artichoke dip. All of there dishes are crafted/created in house. Literally the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. The town it’s located in (Larkspur) is a cozy town full of character. Thankful for my head coach brother in law’s significant other who recommended this going to this spot. Look forward to going back.“

“Tasty Mediterranean food. Good amount of vegan options with falafel. The falafel is very good, high quality and nicely fried.
The falafel burger was very tasty, and the crispy falafel added a nice texture. The fries were okay, a bit dry. Also got the sampler platter - liked the falafel, pita, hummus, baba ganoush, and salad that came with it. The dolmas were not my favorite.
Very good service. The bathroom is shared with the other businesses in the building and was fine. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.“

“Above Fifth is the rooftop bar of the AC Hotel in San Rafael, CA. The hotel is part of the Marriott hotel franchise. Yes, a franchise hotel is in downtown San Rafael. Times are a changin'.

Anyways, the bar is open 4pm-11pm Wednesday-Sunday, closed on Monday - Tuesday. The hotel is about 54 feet tall so it is not particular tall, but tall enough for some awesome views of downtown, surrounding hills, and Mount Tam. The seating area, like the hotel, has modern upscale aesthetics with relaxed vibes.

The views are gorgeous. The staff are sweethearts, five star service. The drinks and tapas menu price points are of course pricey. But what was up with the stained paper menus. Eww. Anyways, the fam ordered drinks (cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks) and tapas of olives, hummus and pita, and fingerling potatoes. The olives were delicious and it was a good medley of various kinds. The fingerling potatoes were a bit boring tasting, it could use more seasonings for added zing. Not sure how the green hummus tasted, I snoozed on that one.

Overall, the drinks are good, ambiance fantastic, and the food is meh. This is a type of place I would go for special occasions and not on a regular basis, my wallet cannot sustain it.“

Call and order ahead and pick it up 30 min later on busy night. Always ready, always good. Great gluten free pizza, plain cheese and Hawaiian regulars are great!“

“Went ar Arrivederci at around 3 pm on Sunday. Not that busy. We got seated and got our drinks right away. We ordered Gnocchi and Risotto con brasatto. We also got a complimentary focaccia bread with garlic/herbs olive oil dipping. The Gnocchi was very creamy and has rich flavor. The Risotto was creamy and the 2 piece of beef short ribs were tender and juicy. The portion is a bit on a small side and a bit pricey ($28 each). I gave 4 star because the server was not attentive.“
