“The focus is about consistently delicious food. I married into a Filipino family and have learned, as a foodie, that dishes take time, they need to simmer and they are layered with flavors and herbs. KUYA'S IS A STAPLE for our family. Take out or dine in its always delicious. Dine in and the lights may flicker... it take us out of the states and portal us towards a family that cares about food. Yum.“

“I have been here a handful of times, and usually my pit stop for something quick when I am in the area. This location is basically a hole in the mall where you might drive past and not even notice there is a Quickly there. The shop is compact where it is strictly to go only, you can either order from the kiosk or a staff can help you at the counter. Their menu consists of milk tea, slushies, specialty drinks, snacks, etc. The staffs here are well trained and quick with orders. I typically get a milk tea and a popcorn chicken when I make my visits. I recommend this place to all boba enthusiasts, if you are on a limited time or if you just want something quick. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.“

“The manager made certain the restaurant was still open for us as we could not arrive until 10:00pm from our flight. We quickly selected our appetizer and main courses. The food was brought quickly. It was very tasty and served hot. The waiter was very nice and quite attentive. Great place! It is rare for a restaurant in an airport to be so good.“

“This is an interesting place, primarily known for their omakase (I think), but we came for the tsukemen. The tsukemen was tasty and presented with a dipping sauce warmer set up. I gotta say the egg was perfectly cooked, but I don't know if we really needed the bamboo shoots and mushrooms given the dipping setup.
The ambience is good and there is a unique water and condiment setup that makes it standout, although it also crowds the table a bit. Nevertheless, it's unique and adds to the charm of the place.
Service was great and we chatted a lot with the lady who was covering our table. She gave us a lot of background on the work they did to get the current menu in place and tweaks they are planning going forward.
Overall, this place was a refreshing change of pace. Tsukemen is not that common, the ambience is different, and the service was super engaging. I will definitely go back to check on the evolving menu. Highly recommended.“

“Truly excellent food. Innovative (and dare I say, elevated) takes on traditional Cantonese and Taiwanese dishes. We particularly enjoyed the confit cabbage, honey walnut shrimp toast, turnip cake salad, and especially the porridge. The porridge was a concentrated blast of umami, unexpected but welcome. I hope they succeed and become an SF/Mission mainstay.
Also, I enjoyed the old Jackie Chan flicks playing above the bar.“

“Relaxing and modern ambiance to the restaurant. Super friendly service for an enjoyable experience. Hidden gem outside the hustles of the downtown area of San Mateo. The dishes were fresh and well presented. Ordered the Tom Yun Shrimp noodles and Keema Curry Rice. Nice Japanese infusion of flavors and techniques on South East Asian regional dishes. Can get pretty busy during lunch rush. We got there at 1:45pm and beat the rush.“

“We’re so happy to have checked out this lovely place!
Family run with pride and care, delicious (!!!) food, super nice service and squeaky clean! Seriously, not a speck of dust to be found.
We were both impressed with the super juicy and tender chicken, shrimp (cooked to perfection) and beef, super flavorful fried rice and portion sizes 🤯🤯🤯 we’ll have leftover for a few days!
The folks working the place are so nice and take such great care of the cafe.
We’ll be back and we’ll bring friends and family!“

The customer service is amazing. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. The restaurant is very clean and well organized, and ordering is always easy and smooth.
I always leave feeling happy and satisfied with what I paid for my meal. The portions, the flavor, and the overall experience are definitely worth it. I highly recommend Saucy Asian to anyone looking for delicious Korean food and great service!“

“Very good! Loved getting the peanuts and cabbage salad as we sat down.
The best:
- pork and chive dumplings
- spicy wontons
Good:
- ground pork and tofu golden soup
- bbq steam buns
Underwhelming:
- cucumber salad. Normally I love this dish, but the flavor of the sesame oil and garlic did not come through on the cucumber. It tasted like the cucumbers were plated immediately after being crushed and chopped instead of getting some salt and 5-10 minutes of rest.“

“Good food (we had the green papaya salad and the pad kee mao, both excellent). Had we known that the pad kee mao didn't come with tofu we would have asked for it, so next time we will, but that's nitpicking. Very fast service, noticeably so. Location great for those in San Mateo or Foster City (and this restaurant is much better in my mind than Sweet Basil, I'm sorry). The pad kee mao dish was huge and we had to take home half of each plate (we got two, next time one will be enough, but we took it home and plan to enjoy later)“

“Food was really great and the staff were super friendly. Unfortunately the atmosphere was not relaxing. We were sat at a shared table and there just wasn’t any room between parties. The couple next to us was talking VERY loudly and we couldn’t concentrate on our thoughts which was very distracting. The restaurant was also playing this bad pop music as if we were in a department store. The experience just made us want to eat quickly and leave! It’s a shame since the food was great.“

“Earlier this week on Sunday, I was craving some Korean fried Chicken, which I never had before. I did a search on Google and came across Bonchon in San Mateo. The first experience I had, I was not happy with my order because it was not accurate. I ordered an 8 piece, but only received a 4 piece and because it’s through a 3rd party nothing could be done. I decided on Monday I would order this time directly from the restaurant. Everything worked out, and I have to tell you even though my order was not right the first time? This did not take away from the quality of the food. I ordered the drumsticks extra crunch? No sauce, and the first time I ordered with fried rice, both were excellent. The seasoning, it was rich with flavor, and I have absolutely no complaints. The second time on Monday I ordered the same chicken a 4 piece, the corn with the mayonnaise, cheese and red pepper flakes, with a side of steamed rice. Everything was just perfect. I’m not kidding you it’s taking everything in me to control myself from ordering more today, and it’s just Tuesday. It’s just that good! Whoever the chefs are, you can taste the love in their cooking, it’s not just thrown together. There is Love in their food, and know this because my Mom’s food is just the same. Every bite is good. I don’t say these things lightly when it comes to restaurants. There’s not too many that impress me like this. All I can say is keep the love in your food, and don’t change the quality even if you have a million customers, don’t change your food. 5/5 for me, it’s a must try if you love fried chicken or Korean food. I don’t have pictures this time, maybe next time if I can upload I will. The chicken is so crunchy that even when it’s cold it’s still good and crunchy and not soggy. That is when you know food is good, when it gets cold and it’s just as good. Thank you so much for listening.“

“All their yakitoris were seasoned well and I loved both the salted and soy options. You order through a QR code using your phone so you won't have any issues with flagging down a waitress whether you're seated on the first or second floors.“

“I recently visited Rasa Rasa Kitchen / R2K, and it offered a vibrant and flavorful take on Indonesian-inspired cuisine in San Francisco’s Mission District. The restaurant has a casual and energetic atmosphere that reflects the neighborhood’s creative food scene. The space feels modern and approachable, making it a comfortable place to enjoy bold Southeast Asian flavors in a relaxed setting.
The menu focuses on Indonesian street-food influences while presenting the dishes in a contemporary format. Indonesian cuisine is known for its layered spice blends and complex seasoning, and many of the dishes here reflect those traditional elements. Ingredients such as lemongrass, garlic, chili, and aromatic spices appear throughout the menu, creating dishes that feel rich and vibrant without becoming overwhelming.
One of the highlights of the meal was the balance of textures and flavors across the plates. Indonesian cooking often combines savory, sweet, and spicy elements within a single dish, and that dynamic was clearly present here. The proteins were well seasoned and paired with rice and vegetables that helped create satisfying and well-rounded plates.
Another notable aspect of the restaurant is the emphasis on bold sauces and sambal-style condiments. These additions bring depth and heat to the dishes, allowing diners to adjust the intensity of the flavors according to their preferences. The use of these traditional components adds authenticity to the overall experience.
Service during the visit was friendly and efficient. Staff members maintained a welcoming and relaxed attitude while keeping the dining area organized. The casual service style matched the restaurant’s fast-casual format and contributed to the comfortable atmosphere.
The location within the Mission District also enhances the experience. The area is known for its diverse culinary scene, and Rasa Rasa Kitchen fits well within that environment by offering a cuisine that is still relatively uncommon in many American cities.
Overall, Rasa Rasa Kitchen / R2K delivers a flavorful and approachable Indonesian-inspired dining experience with bold seasoning, balanced dishes, and a lively atmosphere. It stands out as a unique addition to San Francisco’s diverse food landscape.“

“The Longan Lime Green Tea is what you want :) It’s not a common combination I see which is why I ordered it - was pleasantly surprised! It’s slightly sweet yet refreshing.
Quiet for a Friday evening around 6pm but don’t let that turn you away! Staff is friendly. Cash and card accepted both at the kiosk and the counter register. Limited seating inside and no bathroom.“

“The peppercorn deep fried Dungeness crab was delicious. It was cooked just right. Meat was fresh, tender and tasty esp with the chopped garlic and peppercorns. The lightly breaded deep fried shell was perfectly seasoned, not too salty. Definitely will come again!“

“Great place with a lovely patio, it's expensive of course but they give you value for the money too in the form of delicious dumplings and related delicious food. They are okay for vegetarian options. I ate at this place a lot when it was Savour and never ate outside once. The Patio is much better integrated, covered and fun with the current restaurant.“

“I am usually not a brunch person, but I made an exception for Taste & Glory and was not disappointed. I tried their vegan breakfast and it was surprisingly flavorful and satisfying. the pancakes are a must. The homemade fruit spread with the pancakes is yumm ! My family ordered the huevos rancheros, fried chicken with eggs Benedict, and steak, and everything was delicious. The flavors really stand out.
It gets busy on weekends and they don’t take reservations, so plan accordingly. Their drinks are also worth trying, very unique and well crafted. Service is friendly, though it’s more of an efficient, lively spot than a place to linger for long conversations.“

“This has become my favorite Chinese restaurant in San Francisco. Their salt and pepper wings are superior to the ones across the street and the rest of the menu is fire too. Some favorites are old school SF Cantonese standards like Westlake beef soup, honey walnut prawns, and the mushrooms with egg tofu.“

“Café Bunn Mi in South San Francisco is hands-down one of my favorite spots for comfort food!
Their garlic noodles are absolutely delicious full of flavor and perfectly cooked every time. I pay for extra noodles! I spoil myself like that all the time!
The imperial rolls and egg rolls are always crispy, fresh, and packed with goodness. For the imperial rolls I always pay for extra lettuce! They come with the vermicelli noodles and fish sauce!!!
Their fried chicken sandwich is another must-try: crunchy, juicy, and so satisfying.
And of course, you can’t forget the Thai iced tea sweet, creamy, and the perfect drink to tie it all together.
Great food, great service, and always consistent. Highly recommend!“

“Just tried this place for the first time. We got the aji inferno and the class 10 hunnids burger. These may be my favorite smash burgers in the city! The smash patties are cooked perfectly, and the 10 hunnids burger is reminiscent of old school sonic (IYKYK). The servings are very generous. We loved the loaded tots that were perfectly crispy and had loads of toppings.“

“Came here for the first time and I’m impressed! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the beef teriyaki and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and the sauce was spot on. The presentation was beautiful as well. My wife had the Sushi Salmon Paradise and loved every bite, and my father devoured the Megabite roll. We also had the tempura string beans with onions — crispy, light, and just downright delicious. This place is a welcome addition to the neighborhood — you’ve got to try it!“

“A no-frills place for authentic comfort Chinese (and a few other non-Chinese but still Asian) dishes that is very convenient for those arriving late at SFO airport (they open past midnight). Walking distance to a few hotels or to a bus stop along El Camino Real, which passes several hotels in the area. I ordered the beef rib pho and fried oysters. I was satisfied with my meal and the beef rib was tender and flavorful. If ever I arrive in SF late at night on another trip, I won't hesitate to eat at this restaurant again.“
