“Stopped in to Newell's for a pre dinner drink. We just kind of stumbled on this place. How does one know where to get a good cocktail when you're an out of towner!?
Well let me tell you about Newell's.. The bartender was fabulous! She wasn't even sure what a certain drink was but she more than nailed it! It was right on! My Cadillac margarita was potent! I managed to wobble out of there to my next destination.. but barely! They do not serve food but our sweet bartender brought popcorn in order to save me embarrassment! It was a fun experience and I think I may have to return!“

The decor leans casual and relaxed - good for both friend groups and dates. Honestly I don't remember too much bc I was busy canoodling so safe to say it was dark enough, vibey enough and I had great company:'). A fun place, not too packed on Sat past midnight, would recommend.“

“5 Super vibey bar - perfect for dates imo. The drinks are interesting - they keep half their menu seasonal and constantly changing. That being said, while the drinks are good, Cold Drinks is prob still better in terms of nuance. This place is def more vibey than Cold Drinks tho - fun aura and is very lively (without being too loud to hear each other). Overall, excellent date spot and plenty of good bars around in case you need to wait. Definitely make a res on the weekend because you will wait for over an hour or not get in. Good set up for canoodling.“

“So I was lucky enough to give this place a try during a closed event hosted by the Seoul sisters and the Hoo Lee Gans. Pretty cool vibe and atmosphere when you walk in. Extensive drink list and pretty skilled bartenders tend to your thirsty soul while the home cooked Korean style street food dishes caress your belly. As it was a closed event , the food was a buffet style, help yourself and gubble it up style. Regardless the food was spot on. I really enjoyed the onion pancake. This dish is as simple as it looks it is actually rather tricky to make. The popcorn chicken was tender, the kimchi zesty yet firm and tender.
I suggest you give it a try and work yourself through their menu.“

“The Lore Speakeasy Alice & Wonderland Escape Room experience was Absolutely Incredible!!! Lots of puzzles that were difficult but not impossible. Our host was funny and super responsive throughout the room. The drinks were good. We had such a fun time and I highly recommend to anyone even remotely interested. Afterwards we stayed for drinks and bites and these were delicious as well.“

We even got free pizza (that was delicious) from next door.. Didn’t get the bartenders names but they were awesome. After playing Scotty doesn’t know 3 times on the jukebox I k ow they won’t forget us. Even the guy that came in to clean their taps was great. “Hannah is so amazing! She’s so attentive and checked in on us even before our drinks were on L (bottomless who?!) and on a Wednesday! She has amazing recommendations! But if you’re a beer bottler like me, make sure to have a cocktail list on the roster because they only have 3 beers on rotation 🫠 we also need to help the owner fill up the rest of the liquor shelf!

This was our first time having the Shrimp Louie salad and it is now my favorite in all of SF. It is shredded and ready to eat. Presentation alone has high marks and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We split the Cioppino with the added pasta on the side. Yuu-uuuummmmm! Lots of seafood and the soup base had us making deals for the dregs at the end.“

“I threw a birthday party here and I was so pleased with how everything turned out. Debi, the owner is very professional and quick to respond to email and a pleasure to coordinate with. All of the staff were extremely friendly, from the bartenders, waitress and the doorman (who greeted all my guests!). The bar has a lot of seating and is very spacious with great decor. Food is also delicious, which my guests enjoyed. Highly recommend the quesasdillas. Thank you Debi and team for making my birthday so memorable. I recommend throwing your next event here.“

“The burger was really good. Got the HWC burger with waffle fries, the burger was really flavorful and juicy. Taste wise I had zero complaints.

Overall the meal was sort ok for the price in SF I guess. The burger itself was almost the size of a whopper jr but with more meat. The quality of the burger is great but the size is a bit disappointing. Waffle fries were standard, nothing super amazing nor bad.

If I could just buy 2 burgers for the price of the burger & fries I'd be more than happy. That said, even with the but of criticism I'd go back again no hesitation.“
