“Visited for their weekend brunch and had the brunch special thali, channa bhature, and the Chef’s Choice mixed tandoori platter.
The channa bhature was definitely our favorite. the bhature was fresh and fluffy, and the channa was full of flavor without being too heavy.

The brunch special thali was also a great way to try a variety of dishes, with generous portions and well-balanced flavors.

Ended with masala tea in very elegant style and dessert which was just fine for me.

The ambiance was elegant and comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive throughout our visit. It’s also a plus that they serve halal food. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back.“

My favorites are the beef chapli kebab, chicken tikka, and their newest addition—the chicken chargha—which is easily one of the best things on the menu. “I had a fantastic dinner at Curry and Kabab in San Mateo tonight! The **Soya Chaap** was incredibly flavorful and well-textured, and the **Aloo Gobi** was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of spices. Pairing them with their fresh, warm **Naan** made for a truly satisfying meal.

“Affordable Michelin-recommended spot in Palo Alto that’s perfect for a casual meal.

Parking was easy with free street parking. The vibe is fast-casual with limited indoor seating, but there’s plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas, including overflow tables set up along the sidewalk.

You order and pay at the counter, get a number, and the food is brought to your table.

Everything we tried was delicious. The grilled chicken boti sizzler and chicken tikka thali both had incredibly tender, flavorful chicken. The garlic naan was warm and fluffy, and the mango lassi was thick, refreshing, and not overly sweet. Portions were generous for the price.

Fun fact: Zareen’s was founded by Karachi native Zareen Khan, who even bought a house in Menlo Park to rent to her employees at an affordable rate because of Silicon Valley’s high cost of living. It’s easy to see why this flagship location earned Michelin Guide recognition.“

“Kasa has beautiful restaurants in the Bay Area with a heart. The decor is gorgeous with pretty details sprinkled around. For example the bench outside the Redwood City restaurant is so pretty and show cases the colors and designs of India. The food itself is very comforting. It is inspired by the recipes of the founder's grandmother and it is delicious. I love the chai there and love that they have a chai kit. Our friends picked this place and we dropped in for a late night quick bite after their long flight, and it turned out to be a really good choice.

The Brussels sprouts were tasty, though a little heavy on the fried onions.

We had a small mix-up on our side with the Manchurian and realized it was chicken, not gobi. No fault of the restaurant!

My favorite was the pan-fried paneer momos—really good. Our friends enjoyed the chicken momos, and we also tried the black salt soda, with the black salt on the side first just to experiment ;)

“Not one, twice, I’ve been to this place 4 times. Never disappointed. Food was lovely, place feels pleasant, classy and neat. Cost is reasonable since the portion size is small. My wife is a fan of their lamp chops. I tried prawns, chicken appetisers, I had no regrets. Biryani is good enough. Deserts are delicious too. I would go there for every special day knowing that the food will definitely make my day.“

“Wanted to like this place more. Dosa Box is one of the ghost kitchens in San Mateo Food Mall. Ordered from the website for pick up. You get a text when it's ready, go inside and check in with the worker who is at the desk. They open the locker for you where the food is placed.

Our dosas were completely soggy. Would have been very good if it was still crispy. Although it makes sense that dosa would not be a good take out item. They could've poked holes in the box or put the masala potatoes separate instead of inside the dosa to maintain crispiness.

Also just a note if anyone was wondering, the masala dosa comes with sambar (since the menu is not clear about that).“

“They use an AI call taker and there is no one at the store who can take a call. I left my glasses there and I called 5 times , each time I was forwarded to the store and then the call just dropped while I was waiting.
