“Amazing Japanese-style shaved ice dessert! You can get it with or without ice cream. Ripe and flavorful fruit pieces (mangos, peach, strawberry, etc) hidden inside a smooth, lightly sweeten layer of shaved ice. Perfectly refreshing on a hot day. The shop also feels cozy, typical Japanese style. Parking can be a bit tricky in the little plaza. Better to park on Raytheon Rd to the North and walk in.“

“A pretty cool, straightforward matcha cafe in Kearny Mesa next to Brothers Mexican and Chaba Thai Kitchen. When you enter, you’re hit with the cool A/C, medium-loud contemporary music playlist, and a usually vacant interior filled with small tables. You order at the kiosks in the front right of the store next to the counter. It’s pretty much self-service matcha.

I’ve only had the matcha latte and the matcha tea. Both are really tasty, smooth, and reasonably earthy. The matcha latte is best iced with 50% sweetness and whole milk. Super refreshing without being overly sweet or masking the flavor profile of the matcha too much.

For some, the self-service aspect of this place might be a turnoff, but for me it’s kind of a nice reprieve from your typical monotonous service-worker interactions. Overall, really good matcha latte and matcha tea, a bit pricey (but that’s matcha in 2026), and pleasant atmosphere.“

“I work in the area and love walking over during breaks to get coffee, snacks, or their AMAZING paninis! The owner is incredibly sweet and is always happy to customize your drinks to your liking. She’s also always tinkering with new menu items, and I was lucky enough to stop by at the right time and try some experiments :) yum!“

The topping choice is plentiful. so delicious. also slightly cheaper compared to other options in the area. i've been going here for quite a while, and it never dissapoints. if you're in the area, you have to try it.“

“First time here. I googled Raspados near me, they were so pleasant over the phone and when I walked in I felt very welcomed! El raspado ni se diga super flavorful and as I was waiting on my order another patron walked in to order four cups of different variations from strawberries, fruits mango all too yummy. I’ll be back! Thank you“

“A 3.8 for the banana chocolate milkshake, but a 4.5 for the fast and friendly service. They only offer one size shake and I find them to be pretty small, especially for $8.25, but when you’re walking along the beach, you’re paying for the convenience. Located just north of life guard stand 23. Enjoy. Like anywhere along this boardwalk, a great spot for people watching!“

“Great tasting Taiwanese desserts at Meet Fresh in Mira Mesa! We enjoyed a medium sized pudding & q mochi milk shaved ice which is big enough for two. They also sell boba tea. Great vibe with k-pop playing, it was quite busy on a Friday night. Recommend!“
