“So let me tell you about this place. I am not from the area but I ordered a number of rolls (pictured) and they were all very delicious. I was very impressed. I am a big sushi fan and I am glad I decided to try this new place. I definitely recommend it. I live about an hour away but I am definitely going to visit again to try more rolls!“

“The food is really good here, I give the taste of the food a 10/10. The service is always good here. The only downside is the price, I paid almost $30 for one bowl! They upgrade the cost if you want fried rice, veggies, teriyaki sauce, etc. it’s only cheap if you get plain white rice with chicken and no veggies. The cost of everything is going up but the pricing here is a little excessive.“

Every roll I tried was prepared with such care. I particularly loved the vibrant colors of the sushi, especially the beautiful orange slices of lemon resting right on top of the rolls. Everything tasted just as good as it looked.

“I came back for lunch for the first time in nearly 25 years, and it felt like stepping back in time. Since moving away, I hadn’t visited this area at all. The interior is unchanged, the service is warm and welcoming, and the homemade Japanese comfort food is just as delicious as I remembered. You’d be hard-pressed to find another place in the Valley that serves hijiki (seaweed) rice so casually and authentically.“

“I had an incredible meal here recently. The ramen was absolutely fantastic and hit the spot perfectly.

I was especially impressed by the bowl topped with fresh cilantro and a bright lime wedge. The broth had such a deep, rich flavor that kept me coming back for more. Everything was served in beautiful, unique bowls that made the experience feel special.

“Fresh, healthy food w generous portions. I had the hana salad w chicken and the iced matcha cloud latte. The salad was fresh and their sauce/condiment bar made it extra tasty. The matcha was super yummy, on par or better with any specialty coffee/tea place. The Okinawa sugar made it elevated, though I ordered it less sweet. Will def be back!“

“First thing first, the sushi is really fresh. We got the toro, salmon belly, and the yellowtail belly. Saba is a little fishy. The rice is a bit mushy but good enough.

The cooked food is not as great. The agedashi tofu has too much breading and taste average. Kaiju tar tar is okayyy.

The service however took forever, and they never come to check up on us. Servers reach over to get dishes for other tables. Maybe they are short staffed but they should still handle us probably.“

“Masa-san serves chef's choice, and the food is fresh and delicious. Eating here is an extremely delightful experience. The sweet shrimp with eggs is one of my favorites. Always finish your meal with at least 1 (maybe 2 or ...) of his blue crab rolls. The crab is carefully hand-pulled, the rice is warm, and the seaweed is crisp. You won't find that combination of quality and easy dining experience anywhere else in the Valley. Please try it!“

“I had an excellent lunch at Sushi Yuzu. The restaurant has a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, and everything I ordered tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared.

I started with the tuna sampler, which was beautifully presented and offered several different cuts and preparations of tuna. Each one had its own distinct flavor and texture, and the quality of the fish really stood out. It was a great way to sample the restaurant’s sushi and a perfect start to lunch.

The highlight, though, was the spicy tuna crispy rice. The rice was crisp and golden on the outside without being overly hard or greasy, while the spicy tuna was fresh, flavorful, and nicely balanced. It had just enough heat without overpowering the fish. I’d even dare to say Sushi Yuzu’s spicy tuna crispy rice was better than Katsuya’s, which is a very high bar.

The food felt refined without being fussy, and the quality made a casual lunch feel special. Sushi Yuzu is definitely worth visiting if you enjoy fresh sushi, especially tuna. I’ll absolutely be returning to try more of the menu.“

“I rarely leave comments. I visited once before and felt the quality of the pork wasn't quite up to par. Today, however, we ordered the Spicy Miso and a Chicken Ramen—and honestly, they were absolutely delicious. “If there’s one thing I love, it’s teriyaki plus. This restaurant is so inconspicuous and a sleeper hit of the area. It’s charming and the food is well priced and so flavorful. We got the katsu bowl, the gyoza and chicken kabobs. All perfect. “This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants! I moved away from the area a few years ago, but I really miss this place and think of if often. My husband and I would always order the chicken teriyaki bento boxes with extra teriyaki sauce and miso soup. Such a perfect lunch! Their food is delicious, fresh, affordable, and made with care. We would order take-out from here at least once a week, especially during the pandemic. The owners are very kind and sweet, and would always remember me when I called in and picked up orders. We'll definitely be back for more bento boxes next time we're in the area!“

“I recently visited Kopan Sushi & Ramen and had a great experience. It’s one of those places that feels comfortable from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is welcoming, and the menu offers plenty of options whether you’re in the mood for sushi, ramen, or something in between.

I decided to try both sushi and ramen, which may not have been the most disciplined decision, but it was definitely the right one. The sushi was fresh and well-prepared, while the ramen arrived hot, flavorful, and packed with ingredients. Every bite felt satisfying, especially after a long day.

What stood out most was the consistency. Nothing felt rushed or carelessly prepared. The presentation was great, the portions were generous, and the service was attentive without being intrusive.

Kopan Sushi & Ramen is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal. If you’re looking for quality Japanese food in a comfortable setting, I would absolutely recommend giving it a try.“

“Love Jo&Go Sushi. They saved me when we first moved to LA and while the house was being remodeled.

4 years later... it's still as good as first discovered. It's a neighborhood gem inside the Korean Greenland Mrkt, which btw, is also awesome.

Must try is the salmon bowl, the salmon slices are so tender and buttery... they give you a crazy amount of salmon over the rice and seriously it's enough to have a 2nd meal! One note about the bowl... I'm not a fan of drenching really good cooked rice with sauce, so I always order without the sauce. The rice is not sushi rice which makes it even more delicious... the rice is always perfectly cooked. You get a miso soup and a cute little container of pickled radish (delish). I would love to know where they source the fish... it's like being in Japan, it's so fresh.

Mint and the whole staff were extremely friendly and took care of all of us.

Food was very delicious. From the soup, salads, appetizers and rolls that Mint recommend.

“Katsu-ya is my neighborhood sushi spot, and it is a good one. This is not the place you go when you want the best sushi of your life or a meal that is going to blow your mind. This is where you go when you want good, consistent sushi any day of the week.

It is the Toyota Avalon of sushi restaurants, on the upper end of reliable, and I go there constantly. They are always busy and have many celebrity clients, if that matters to you. Service is consistently great as well. If you want a table, it is best to make a reservation since they are often very busy.“
