He collects the best ingredients from local farmer's markets, even using his background as a wine maker to create special ferments, and shares his family's Lebanese origins with so much care in each dish. The meatball and prosciutto are not to be missed!“

“Excellent espresso coffee, friendly service and a lovely brunch menu. I look forward to returning sometime for dinner. The chef’s were prepping a range of fresh looking ingredients and the smells emanating from the kitchen were beautiful!“

“The coffee here is amazing and it’s a great place to work. They source directly from Columbian farmers and there’s an option to send tips directly to farmers. A latte is $6.50, and they have some interesting syrups you can add on (banana, maple, blueberry, etc.).“

“Really excellent coffee experience here, especially if you enjoy specialty coffee. Far and away my favorite spot in SF.

Would recommend giving the coffee flight a shot if you’re interested in a little variety. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about the rotating list of coffees.

As far as location, this spot on Balboa was my favorite. Give it a shot!“

“Came by for a hot chocolate and loved the ambience here! The piano was closed (didn't ask if could be played), but there different sits, tables and what nots. Great spot to chill a little and enjoy a hot beverage. Seems like they also do piano classes. I Also learned they have Bingsu (Korean shaved ice desserts), but didn't get a chance to try.“

“Ordered Crunch Combo and Lemongrass beef sandwiches. Cut them in half and shared half a sandwich each with a friend at Marina Green.

Crunch has a thin veneer of delicious pate on the bottom bread. Bread was crispy on top and soft throughout which was easy to chew. Sometimes Banh mi bread makes my jaw ache from excessive chewing. The bread they use is fantastic.

The only gripe is that there was a mouthful of gristle in my lemongrass beef, but otherwise, the sandwiches were delicious and composed well.

I’ll definitely come back. Forget the others. So far, it’s my favorite/the best Banh mi I’ve tried in San Francisco.“

“I’ve been coming here for over a decade, and it’s still one of my favorite neighborhood spots. Great coffee, tasty sandwiches and wraps, and a charming space with cozy seating and a lovely back patio. The friendly staff and welcoming owner are what really makes it special.“

“An incredible gem of the city. It doesn’t matter what you pick from the menu, everything is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The black bean and cheese pupusas are a favorite. It is absurd that this place doesn’t have closer to 5/5 star rating. An amazing place.“

“I LOVE LOVE LOVE breadbelly. It’s has the BEST matcha lattes in the city in my opinion, even better than some of the matcha I had in Japan, which is A LOT. I have been trying to find a matcha that tops this place and very few places come close. I want to gatekeep this place so much and for as long as I can but it’s becoming increasingly popular these days. So expect long lines on weekends.

I’m just sad I can’t go everyday because it’s so far out in Richmond. Yes the prices are pricey ($8+ for matcha) and yes they charge an employee mandate fee. But it’s worth it. I also love their Kaya toast and bun. Their rotating seasonal drinks are great too. 10/10“

“Had a good meal with even better Service“

“My mom and I came here when visiting the Legion of Honor, and it's a cozy quiet shop near a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We got a bagel and a daily special - it was only $10 and it was so good! The woman serving was so nice and the service was great. Would recommend if you are looking for a straightforward lunch and coffee spot!“

“The specialty coffee was meh. It was just flavour syrup in americano and warm milk. The coffee itself is good and so would stick to normal latte. The bagel was great with a healthy serving of packaged cream cheese. This Castro location is rustic and the staff is friendly.“

“No indoor seating. Wifi is barely usable (1.7⬇️/3.4⬆️). The drip is pretty good. It's a washed Guatemala/Ethiopia. Chocolate croissant was tasty too. So many plants! 🤩 I'd come here to hang on a nice day, but not to work.“

“The food and coffee were great! Atmosphere indoors can be a bit loud during peak hours. Service was quick and the staff were friendly.
The bar stools inside vary in height and some were too low with respect to the table board across the wall. Otherwise a great place to have breakfast/brunch!“

“Best time to spend and relax“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“I started with an oat milk chai latte, which was so good we ordered brunch. Multiple vegan options, and everything is delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient, the drinks and food were prepared with care and attention. We will be back!“

“Ritual Coffee Roasters is awesome. Listen, I first heard about them randomly through some passing mention from Adam Savage (formerly of Mythbusters) in one of his YouTube videos. I happened to be on the hunt for better options, so I decided to give them a try. They’re a local coffee shop in San Francisco with 3 or 4 locations, but they do offer their coffee to order and ship. It was VERY good coffee, so even though it’s a little pricey compared to grocery store coffee, I started a small monthly subscription with them. No regrets! I’ve been very happy with their seasonal varieties. Well this month their shipment has disappeared inside the USPS somewhere. I called them to ask if they could help figure it out, and after looking it up and confirming they were lost with no resolution in sight they said no problem they’ll just send a whole new shipment out expedited to me, on them, no charge. If the others do show up, great, keep those bags, too. I know it’s “just coffee” and just a couple bags somewhere, but that kind of responsive, customer-first service isn’t exactly common anymore. Right now I’m subsisting on an old bag of nasty Starbucks French roast and have been eagerly awaiting a package that may never arrive. If you like coffee, DEFINITELY give them a shot. I can recommend them with no reservations!“

“Pain au chocolat was phenomenal. Canele was mediocre. I had high expectations for a French bakery. Seasonal croissant seemed to be a berry crumble type double baked croissant. Tasty and fresh! Went on a weekday morning with no plans so the casual atmosphere and no line was nice and relaxing.

Their pate en croute assortment looked like art. Would’ve loved to try but hopefully another time.“

“Without a doubt the best breakfast sandwiches on thee planet! I have referred a friend who said “it’s in a league of its own.” I will start with the buttery yet still flakey buttermilk biscuit. When you take a bite it’s just goes perfectly with the bacon and egg. It’s like a party in your mouth! They also have amazing blueberry & Apple cinnamon muffins that are unbelievably moist! The banana nut bread is just as fabulous. I can’t wait to go back and trie a scone. The best part is they also made fresh home made dog treats! So you can bring your friend along amd not feel bad eating your treats in front of him. While he looks droopy eyes. Your dog will love them too! We drive out from the eat bay(Pleasanton, ca) just to stop by!“

“I absolutely love this place—their cakes are fabulous! However, it would be great if they could stick to their posted hours. I arrived at 2:50 PM on a Wednesday, and there was a sign outside that said open (I’ve attached a photo). The cashier was inside but told me they were already closed, which was confusing. I used to stop by around this time every week after work, so it was disappointing. If they’re closing before 3 PM, it would really help to update the posted hours so customers know what to expect.“

“Tomato sandwich goes so hard….incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned. Hard to eat in the best way, I was deliriously slurping. Seasonal pastry (fig & cream cheese) was delicious too! My iced matcha was perfect.

I believe the owners helped me and they were so incredibly warm and welcoming! Spots like this are so hard to come by. It’s authentically local and so SOMA. If you find yourself walking Folsom, I cannot recommend Nosh Box enough!“

“Stumbled on this spot and was seriously impressed. The Arabic food was incredible. It was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out was the California twist. Fresh ingredients, creative touches, and nothing felt heavy or overdone.

Every dish had its own personality, and everything I tried was just so good. You can tell they really know what they’re doing in the kitchen!“
