“The Jolly Jug is one of those iconic places that can never be duplicated. The original Jolly Jug was in South El Monte in the 1930s and people came from all around to eat their famous Pastrami’s and Beef Dip sandwiches. Going into another century of their delicious food and cold beer, you can’t go wrong by making a pit stop here. In a world of hip restaurants trying to reinvent LA cuisine, the Jug is comfort food, done right. ❤️“

“I came because I wanted a good old-fashioned, diner-style breakfast, and that's exactly what I got. Scrambled eggs, sausage patties, crispy hash browns, and buttered rye toast. The service was fast, friendly, and welcoming. Walking into the place is like stepping back to the 1960s. It's nostalgic and cozy and everything you want a diner to be.“

“I’ve been cutting out refined sugar and it’s been difficult but I came across this place and I was able to have a wonderful chocolate shake with almond milk and cocoa, yes it had sugar but pure cane sugar. It was a great alternative and it taste so yummy! I was also able to add toppings, healthy toppings, strawberries, blueberries, etc. so good! Can’t wait to go back❤️“

“This place is such a hole in the wall, would honestly come back. This place been around for a while but I never know this place exist because it’s so hidden. The service is a bit slow when prepping the food, but their tacos are to die for. I would come back any day for tacos!Parking lot is shared with other shops but not too busy! The menu is consistent and so is their food!Would come back again! Don’t let the small shop and sketchy look deceive you!“

“THE Best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had!! I’ve been here 3 times in the last year and half because I’m so obsessed (I don’t live in the US). The flavour is just perfect. I always get the impossible haus burrito. I also tried the tater tots this time and loved it. 11/10“

“My company used Crossroads for a very long project that required catering every weekday for over three weeks. Helen was quick on delivery, she was willing to work with us to add variation to the lunches and her prices could not be beat. The employees we were training highly complimented all the food. Sandwiches, wraps, tacos, bento bowls and salads. All of it was delicious. I cannot thank Helen a Crossroads enough for her hard work and wonderful food.“

“"Absolutely stellar experience at Homies breakfast truck in Highland Park! Adam, the owner, is an absolute gem of a person—friendly, welcoming, and truly passionate about his craft. From the moment I stepped up to the truck, I could feel the warmth and dedication that Adam puts into every dish.Let's talk about the food—mouthwatering is an understatement! The breakfast burrito I had was hands down one of the best I've ever tasted in LA, and that's saying something! The flavors were perfectly balanced, the ingredients fresh, and the portion size generous. Each bite was a symphony of deliciousness. But what truly sets Homies apart is Adam's unwavering passion for his food. It's evident in every aspect, from the meticulous preparation to the genuine care he shows to each customer. And let me tell you, when you see the passion reflected in every bite, you know you're experiencing something special. If you're in Highland Park and craving a breakfast that will make your taste buds sing, do yourself a favor and head to Homies breakfast truck. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Five stars all the way“

“The cafeteria is a standard food hall with lots of seating and tables.
The main reason I go here is because of their Cali Cob salad is phenomenal. As a person that has tried lots of high end salads at other establishments, this salad is one of the best cobs I’ve ever had.
Almost as great as Joey’s in DTLA. The vegetables are very fresh, the dressing is excellent. I love that it has a lot of chicken pieces that are delicious and egg along with bacon pieces. It’s a solid salad for the price and one of my favorite salads of all time. I highly recommend it.
I will definitely come back to eat that salad & I’ll continue to try their other menu items.“

“If you're looking for a good spot to eat close to the DTLA court houses, check out the Galero Grill in the Cathedral complex. A five minute walk from the court houses with good food at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a lovely patio with tables to enjoy your meal in peace (other than the Cathedral chimes on the hour). It's run by the Patina group so, although the food isn't fancy, the quality is very good.“

“👍 Ice coffee🥤& fresh bread🥖
Read the negative reviews… Isn’t that bad if you speak to owner there in the morning. She can fix any issues & willing to accommodate.
True that servers doesn’t speak English, but you can ask casher in front; on other side of bread section.
Most Vietnamese’s food must be eaten ASAP for quality & health. It could only sit in room temperature for very short period of time…otherwise, it will taste hard or spoil.
Parking: Good luck parking in morning especially weekends. Ask security for quick pickup lane at left side private parking…“

“Passed by a bunch of times but never got a chance to go in. Finally, after all these years, I'm glad I did. Hit the spot!
Parking: The parking lot opens up into the other center. Since it sits on the corner of Baldwin and Duarte, it sort of helps to navigate your way through both busy streets.“

“Excellent venue, nice and spacious. The food is quite good with fresh ingredients. The food is sizable. We had French Onion soup which was tasty with thick layer of cheese. Cop Salad was ok. Grilled chinchitos pepper the peppers were tough and chewy. Tuna Poke bowl, the fish was good and French. Fish and chip the fish was nice and crispy and they were very generous with chips. Grilled Chicken sandwich was also delicious. The service was a bit weak maybe they don’t have enough serves.“

“The service was great The waitress was very nice and helpful and fast. It was 5:00 a.m. so it shouldn't have been slow service anyway. My only complaints are two. 1. The outside of the restaurant was so dark we passed by it without seeing it, had to turn around and then park in the lot. 2. For basically $17 it would be good for a steak burger to cover the whole entirety of the bun and for there to be a little more than a scattering of fries on the plate. Things are too expensive everywhere to go to a restaurant and pay for food and not get what what you're paying for. The steak burger took up approximately 2/3 of the bun and was dwarfed by the tomatoes. I doubt there were 15 fries on the plate.“

“A large, very good shop. Good selection, well organized. On Sundays it seems to be busier than usual, service was nice and really good, but stressful due to the abundance. In any case, my best recommendation because it was delicious! And that's what it's all about?“

“This place is lowkey and so legit. We love getting the taiwanese purple rice rolls, pork buns, and hot tea (that tea is a steal ngl). There's enough menu items you can take your time exploring, or eat some tried and trues. Everything tastes made from scratch. Prices are affordable. The servers are so sweet and kind. Like what's not to love?? The majority of customers are Chinese speaking, but we got by fine with English XD Morning Summit is always the perfect way to start your day...arguably best breakfast place in town!“

“Located not far from nationally recognized Huge Tree Pastry stands Four Sea Restaurant, Si Hai to locals who know it for sweet or salty Soy Milk plus Buns and Pastries ordered at the counter.
True to Taiwanese traditions, hours from 6:30am until 1:00pm daily finding the space with a continuous stream of traffic, guests are invited to choose from the bilingual overhead menu or a laminated card featuring the names and descriptions of items prepared fast.
Low priced compared to a Breakfast in Los Angeles, portion sizes mostly shareable, fans of Soy Milk will find Four Sea’s in an enormous bowl ideal for dipping Donuts while Pastries from a heated case are highlighted by the Radish version or sweeter Red Bean Paste.
Found at 708 East Las Tunas Drive, easily missed by those not looking, Fan Tuan is faultless in its balance of taste and texture while the Fried Onion Cake is heavier than many but not too oily and served piping hot from the skillet.“
