“Oh fish is sensational. Not only is it a local favorite, it's affordable and high quality Japanese cuisine. I love their sushi, I feel like that's what they specialize in--there udon is also yummy. I haven't had their ramen yet but I'm definitely looking forward to trying it. The staff here is amazing, really nice and attentive. It's a small interior but they always accommodate with your group. Additionally, there's to-go orders readily available.“

“Everyone is nice and helpful there, they answered questions and introduce for you patiently. When you walk in, you can see tongs and very big size bowls for you to pick your ingredients . There's many different kind of ingredients you can choose and also contains some low element and low calories healthy food. I like the sauce for the dry mix and I also like the beef broth with spicy. They also give free sauce, cilantro and green onion. You can adjust your food flavor by yourself. The greatest is they provide lemon water and sweet green tea which is my favorite. I love the sweet green tea! They have several types of drinks you could buy as well. Their price is fear, how much you eat how much you pay which is very worthy. The construction is not too complex but it's comfortable for me. You can have a comfortable seat whether you have party of two or a big party. Overall, I think Mala town is very worthy to try! They might surprise you by their food and their service!“

“Solid new ramen shop for the area that's already loaded with ramen shops, probably at least 10 within the tri-city area. And within a couple of visits, I already feel that this is within the tops. They took over an old KFC building in Newark and they've done a nice job at transforming it, it definitely has a tranquil Japanese vibe now. They usually have enough service personnel that service is quite efficient and speedy, and the kicker is they are actually quite friendly and social. Not usually a norm for small Asian eateries. You can order through a QR code or you can request a menu and receive table service, which I like to opt for. So good for them on giving diners a choice. Green Gyoza ($7/3.5) These are their vegetarian gyozas. Wrapped in spinach wrapper and filled with edamame, tofu and onions. Pretty decent, nice and crisp on the outside and very chunky in the interior filling. The filling doesn't have much flavor outside of the inherent flavors of the ingredients. Felt more healthy than yum. But great meatless option. Fried Oysters ($9/4.5*) Fried right in a fine breading, quite crisp and hot without being oily. Decent sized oysters too that had a fresh flavor. I hate getting fried oysters that taste frozen or past it's prime. These were good, just a squeeze of lemon for me. I'll ask for some red pepper to sprinkle on next time. Hinodeya Ramen ($16/5*) So this is their 'house' ramen and for a first out, I had to try it. Great move if you like multiple components in a bowl for diversity in textures and flavors. The Broth (5*) Umami bomb as I think they use pork and dried scallops as the protein base and it totally taste of it. You can actually taste both which I totally appreciated. It wasn't too salty for me but the medium spiciness I requested was about as hot as I could take. Good thing I didn't challenge their scale as they offer 2 levels above that medium. It was so tongue hot, that when taking sips of already hot liquid, that red pepper burn is more quick and impactful causing me to sweat like crazy. This was a 4 napkin bowl for me. Lol I also liked how the broth was more clear than cloudy. The cloudy broths sometimes get too rich for me, that after several sips I get tired of it. I was able to sip on most of the broth here. The Proteins (5*) I had zero issues with the chasu which was super tender and quite porky. Nor with the egg which was perfectly jammy in the center which I totally prefer. The Noods (5*) Loved them! The are thicker here almost like a mini version of udon. Very chewy and oh so slurpable. This is my favorite ramen noodle for this area. The Garnishments (5*) Loved all the different bites and flavors added to this bowl. Nori, sesame seeds, bamboo shoots and even baby spinach leaves. The other bowl I got another time didn't have all these garnishments and kinda missed it. I'll stick to this bowl from here on out. Clam Ramen (4*) Tried this on another out and since I've never seen nor tried a clam ramen I had to come back and try. It was indeed quite good but may be a one and done. Tons of fresh clams like well over 30 of them, and it was a different clam than I am accustomed to seeing out here in the west coast. These had a harder shell and it was more white and grey colors. Not the manila clams I'm used to seeing. The clams were good but having to deal with 30+ clams, extracting the meat from hot broth is just too much work for me. They're pretty new and this place will only get busier as time goes on. Which is of no surprise to me as they rock a seriously slurpalicious product. To that welcome to the area, you will be appreciated.“

“Food it delicious, fish very fresh. Service was ok on a Saturday afternoon. But the place is noisy with equipment and refrigerators. Not a good place for a quiet meal. However, the poke bowl selection is incredible and their ingredients, especially the pickled vegetables were AMAZING and snappy. “Tonkotsu - this is a pretty good bowl of ramen overall. The broth was missing some extra "oomphf" of milkiness that I was hoping for. The standard serving does not include menma which I feel like is essential to a traditional tonkotsu... the chasu had more of a smokiness, grilled flavor as opposed to the sweet caramelization from the sake/ mirin marinating one may typically expect. All said, this is solid for the Bay Area in my experience but maybe not a recreation of tonkotsu ramen you would get in Japan. There was a richness to the broth and noodles were perfectly cooked!Karaage - plump, super juicy, big pieces of perfectly brined chicken. The batter has less crunch and more crisp, something captured perfectly here. Served with a bit of cabbage, a really sweet kewpie mayo, and a shishito. I loved this and gets perfectly dunked in a bowl of ramen lol.Takoyaki - Less tako, more yaki. I would say the filled contents are probably 5% tako if that. I ate these and did not get a chew of octopus at least twice... though, cooked and topped perfectly with a great flavor.Service was friendly and prompt, and left us to enjoy all aspects of the meal. These dishes and some tea were about $75 for two with tip.“

“Ordered through the Snackpass app, so I could just pick it up directly when I get there. Worked out since the parking lot is an extremely small lot to the side, not a big plaza. They have two designated parking spots for U Cha customers, but the first time I went, both were taken, so I parked on the other end temporarily. Their classic milk tea is pretty good, I would get it again if I was in the area! The honey boba was soft and chewy, I don't have any complaints on the pearls. However, I would not recommend getting a hot drink from here. The cups for hot drinks are not the best quality and the lid keeps falling off, so unfortunately I had spilled some of my drink on my car. The chicken katsu sando, I highly recommend!! It tasted better than I expected! Compared to katsu sandwiches you can get from like the Asian market, U Cha's is definitely better for about the same cost. It's got a nice crispy outside and juicy inside. I would definitely get it again. Their Tokyo fries were good, however spicy mayo is just not a flavor I personally like, so next time I would just get the fries by itself.“

“If you hate people and you love ramen, you're going to love this spot! There is absolutely zero human interaction. You order your food at an iPad, pick up your food at a window in the wall when the computer calls your number, then take it to sit at a singles only booth. The place isn't very big inside, but you can also take your food to the outdoor patio and eat with a view of the water.I got the spicy tonkatsu ramen and it was pretty good. The pork and broth were flavorful. They give a good amount of ingredients as well, so it was pretty filling. My only complaint is that the egg was too well cooked and not the usually runny egg yolk.“

“Came here for lunch on Saturday and there was no line. It's a pretty small place, so i imagine there would be some lines if it was busy. There is a small parking lot right next door which is awesome. We were helped when we walked into the restaurant. We ordered a mixed tempura, chirashi don and a 8 piece nigiri with a California roll (sushi combo). Everything came out pretty quickly. The chirashi bowl came with a bowl of ice on the bottom which is very different but awesome. The sashimi was sliced nice and thin and was very fresh as well. The mixed tempura had the cutest little basket. The tempura was fried perfectly. The sushi combo with 8 piece nigiris sun California roll is a pretty good deal. The nigiri was a good size. Overall everything was great.“

Tonkotsu ramen has great presentation. The Naruto is there. Miso was nice and comforting. The flavour is alive with flavour. The golden dragon was savoury. Enjoyed the Japanese bbq and the mixture of avocado and protein. Vibe is nice. Very hip and contemporary. The robot is fun. Would be nice to have a television from the lounge area or a mirror. It's a bit pricey, but from time to time it's nice to come here. Service is on and off but at this place it's fine. Everything went smooth. Water and one time cups are provided.“

“Came here for my birthday dinner (12/13/23) and was not disappointed. I hadn't yet been to this new location and had only been to their original spot down on Park St., so I was excited to check out their new place.Definitely a significantly larger space with way more room and higher ceilings (though I do really enjoy the hole-in-the-wall vibes of the original spot). Better for groups (and we were a group of five this night). Our waitress was very nice and the food came out pretty fast. There was some minor confusion/a mixup over a dish my dad ordered, which they rectified immediately without issue.I got my usual, the spicy miso gyoza ramen, and it was so delicious. I also got a couple pieces of nigiri that were very fresh. We hadn't been to Yojimbo for a few years, so we were all pretty impressed by how generous they are with their portions and especially for the price. We're all so used to getting little food for our money in the Bay Area these days that we were happily surprised by how full we all were at the end of the meal. Just the amount of teriyaki chicken my brother got in his bento was shocking. Now I know that I can go to either Yojimbo location and get a great meal. Will definitely keep supporting both.“

“I order to go a couple items from the menu, the Black Garlic Ramen, Kara-age and gyoza. I opted to make the ramen spicy it wasn’t spicy at lot had a lot of flavor but it tasted something kinda burnt so I’m not sure if that it’s always like that or not but over all I did like the ramen. The chicken Kara-age was so good specially when it was dipped in the spicy mayo. The gyoza were really good crunchy but soft and lots of flavor.“

The tofu was good not exactly crunchy but had a more soft tofu texture with Unami flavor both was soggy when I took it home for my siblings to try outParking: Not too many surround by other shops“
