“Wow the pho is legit. Broth is flavorable with the right spices. Portion size was good for the price of the bowl. My friend (also Vietnamese) got the garlic noodle dish and it was spot on. Will be coming back to try other authentic dishes.“

This is the best bahn mi in town in my opinion. A beloved establishment in Little Saigon, I’m grateful it’s been around for so many years, and the quality has always been top notch through and through.“

Hu Tieu Kho was delicious! Reminds me of the savory dry wonton noodles except that there’s no wonton but there are quail eggs, fried pork skin, slices of pork, shrimp and pork giblets. Together with the beef soup, it hit the spot on a cold day.

Cha Gio was crispy, and the filling was tasty. Some places have fried spring rolls that are on the mushy end and that tends to be very oily. But not here.

Com Tam (broken rice) plate was yummy. The pork chop was tender and flavorful. The steam pork egg was excellent - many places serve this too but they tend to be dry. But it was juicy, tender and full of flavor here.

Only thing that we didn’t like here was their slice steak pho. It may be personal preference as the soup had a strong taste of a spice or herb that we are not used to and so it threw us off from the usual pho.

Will be back for more Hu Tieu Kho, Cha Gio and Com Tam.

““Phở Hương Quê” basically means pho of the homeland, and it really tastes like it. I grew up in Southern Vietnam and I’m pretty picky about Vietnamese food in the Bay, but this spot hits.

It’s a low key hole in the wall with handwritten menus in Vietnamese, which is always a good sign. They have a special vegetarian section of the menu with tons of options, which is nice because many Vietnamese spots are usually not vegetarian friendly.

The grilled shrimp and vegetarian vermicelli bowls are so good. Vermicelli can be hit or miss since a lot of places don’t season the protein enough, but here everything is super flavorful, nicely marinated, and perfectly charred. The fish sauce ties it all together and they give you extra if you request for it.

Spring rolls are bomb too.

They’re on DoorDash and other delivery apps, but you’ll save a few bucks just going in, and even more if you pay cash. It’s also just a few blocks from Lake Merritt so it’s an easy stop.“

It’s been awhile since I’ve came to this location, I’ve always gone to the original location on International Blvd but that location is alot smaller. This place is pretty spacious and there was outdoor dining.

The place wasn’t crowded so we got seated pretty quick. The staffs were nice and friendly.

What I ordered:
42. Shrimp, Squid, Ground Pork, Fish Ball with Clear Noodles. The clear noodles were good, so was everything else. Broth was clear and flavorful. Would order again!

This location used to be where Rite Aid was, IYKYK! Definitely would come back again when I’m in the area.

“Dropped in for some pho and really enjoyed the meal. The service was really great and friendly. Pho- quite delicious. I liked the quality of the goods, the mint and thai basil leaves were very impressive, so fresh and HUGE and tasted great. This place also served their bowls with limes which is funny because I've seen it becoming rarer, where lemons are being substituted and I'm the former so I appreciated that. The cuts of meat were these nice long strips, high quality.

I also got a banh xeo and that things was awesome. Whoever cooked it did so perfectly... nice crunch on the rim, juicy interior. The batter has coconut milk, so each bite is so flavorful. “I got the special combo ham sandwich without cilantro and jalapeno - but I found a jalapeno in my sandwich. My partner also found jalapeno in #20 grilled pork with lemon grass even it was ordered with no jalapeno. Beside that complaint, the banh mi was really good! The bread is soft and crunchy without hurting the roof of our mouth and it's fully stuffed with the meats and veggies while being affordable!

Although the inside of the shop is clean and organized, the streets is seemingly sketchy and dirty looking so be cautious. It might be hard to find parking.

“Absolutely love the chicken pho here! Despite the plethora of pho places in this area, I always find myself coming back here to get my pho fix. The broth is intoxicating with a very generous portion of noodles (the Xtra large is massive!). What also stands out is the service. They’re always very welcoming, fast to take orders and bring the food out with a smile on their face. In fact, they remember my order most of the time and ask to confirm before they get it going (love). They’re also open a little later than most of the pho places which is a plus with my work schedule, just make sure to arrive at least 45 min before closing if you plan to eat in (they usually make you do take out if you get there less than 30 before closing which I think is fair). “The best bahn mi I've had in as long as I can remember! I ordered one with tofu and an order of the Buddha rolls, and both were delicious. There were so many different flavors in the bahn mi and the Buddha roll. The bread was fluffy and crispy on the outside without cutting the roof of your mouth.

This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“

“Pho broth is still consistent. Have been eating there for decades except recent years. After trying out their number one, broth is still good. Warning, cash only so make sure have enough and beware of your surroundings since it's in Oakland. Lots of crime by blacks these days. We know why.

Parking: Limited free parking. If there is no more parking it can be hard to find parking during peak hours.“

“We stopped by on a Monday to check the place out. It's a big place with side VIP and Karaoke rooms, as well as a dance area in the back. Upstairs they have 2 pool tables and a couple lounge areas. Word has it they have live DJ's on weekends.
We started with an assortment of Lychee cocktails which we're all good. Then we got fresh spring rolls, and potstickers for appetizers. For our main course I got the rare beef Pho, another person got rare beef with meatballs, and the third person got the Tofu Bahn Mi.
All of it was good and the prices are reasonable.“
