“My friends and I came to this pho spot since they had different pho sizes. We started off with the Rocket crispy shrimp and it was super tasty! I ordered the large rare steak #5 and it was super fulfilling with meat in every bite. I also ordered the coconut water but honestly the coconut smoothie was better. It tasted just like Mexican Ice cream paletas. So bomb!!! My friend got the dalgona coffee and it was so yummy as well. Definitely recommend this spot!“
“Loved the ham and meatball with egg. Bread was super crunchy and soft all at the same time. Sandwich was cheap, full of flavor, and delicious. Also got the shredded pork which was just meh and the shrimp app which was different. The Vietnamese coffee is not overly sweet and liked it a lot. The area is about what you would expect, but it was fine going mid day. Place was busy, but the line moves quick and there was plenty of street parking at 1pm on a Friday right out front. Egg with meatball was not a combo I was expecting, but the 2 flavors we’re delicious together. Would return. Cash and credit card accepted (3.9% fee for credit).“
“I am not Vegan and these are so good!!! I picked these up for my boyfriend's family who are vegan. The apple fritter was definitely my favorite, but they are all yummy. The girl working was very patient and friendly when helping me choose which ones to get. She also threw in some extra donut holes! The cinnamon one everyone raves about was sold out when I went around 11am. I'll definitely be back to bring them to the next family gathering. 10/10!!“
“I've been eyeing Lemon Pepper for some time, and recently, my partner mentioned cravings for noodle soup. Perfect opportunity to try LPVC!We arrived, and took about 5 minutes to look for street parking. We entered the store around 11:30 or so, and it was cuter than I was expecting. There were some nice decor and I liked the interior paint colors. We were quickly served and the food came out within 8-10 minutes. We ordered #9 & #10 and both hit the spot. I ate #9 and everything was delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly and every component was 10/10. Delicious. I tried the broth from #10 and it was so delicious. My partner really enjoyed it. We left satisfied and look forward to returning! They had a sign that they will be temporarily closed part of august 2023 through November 2023. We look forward to visiting when they return!“
“I noticed this place was near a school I was working at for the day and decided to check it out. I placed my order and wanted to change the pick up to an earlier time so I called. The man on the phone said he could have it in 10 minutes. I was amazed by the great customer service. I arrived in 5 minutes and my order was ready by then. I ordered the Phad Pad Pak, steamed vegetables, and Thai iced tea. I messed up when I ordered it EXTRA Spicy. I love spicy food and thought to myself how spicy could it be. Boy was I wrong. My throat and mouth was on fire! I wanted to cry. The Phad Pad was delicious but I definitely should not have ordered it EXTRA spicy. I could not finish eating it because of how spicy it was lol I had to keep taking breaks from it and it felt like torture. The steamed veggies and Thai tea were also very good. Definitely recommend this place but don't ever order EXTRA Spicy !!!“
“This is the spot for a delicious quick bite. They have fresh pressed juices and smoothies, my favorites are the breakfast egg and cheese on a croissant w bacon. I ALWAYS get the flan! It’s so simple and so good. Of course their bahn mi’s are good! Need to try other menu items but I usually just stick to a breakfast sandwich and flan or bahn mi and flan, you can’t go wrong here.“
“I was getting over a cold and needed some chicken soup. This hit the spot 10000%. Their ginger scallion sauce is amazing. I prefer to get the boneless chicken and the regular size is plenty for a typical appetite. Cash only! Street parking can be a little tricky at times, but I've always found a spot within 5-10 min.“
“Bacogai has been on the top of my bookmark list ever since I saw them on social media. Hot pot is my favorite type of meal so I knew I had to make the drive out to Alameda to give it a try! I was able to easily make a same-day reservation via Yelp, but because the restaurant was full when we arrived, we still waited about 15 minutes. We didn't try any of their drinks but they have a nice list of cocktails, wine, and beer. Now onto the food - We ordered the Beef La Lot ($25) as our appetizer and it was delicious. It was my first time having this dish and Bacogai has set my expectations high! However, my boyfriend mentioned that $25 is on the pricier end for this compared to other places he's tried. Perhaps because this is categorized as an entree on the menu, but I think if I were to order it as an entree, I would only get it if I wasn't that hungry since the portion is on the smaller side. For our individual hot pots, I got the Lau Oxtail ($26) and my boyfriend got the Lau Canh Chua ($27) which is mainly seafood with a sweet and sour tamarind broth. I really enjoyed my Lau Oxtail broth and there was decent amounts of oxtail, tripe, and beef balls. My boyfriend is a big fan of tamarind and his broth was very flavorful and "exactly what he wanted". Because the portions are on the smaller side and there really isn't much meat, we ordered the beef tongue and Australian wagyu beef as an add on to share. The quality of the meat was good but also on the pricier end. Service was great, they were very attentive, checked in on us multiple times, and re-lit our fires quickly when it went out (2-3x). Overall, Bacogai was a delicious and high-quality meal, but it was expensive for the amount of food we got. I don't think I'll be visiting regularly since the drive is a little far from me, but if you're in the area its definitely worth a try.“
“After the Joe's Pho incident, we decided to check this place out down the road. The place was packed with a line almost out the door even for to-go orders. Looks like it's family ran and not many workers. The owner was hustling though! We got a table outside because we had our puppy with us. I ended up standing in the line to place our order and food came out at a decent rate considering how crazy it was. We got the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. Both were really good and tasted homemade. My boyfriend said they were legit haha.“
“Only thing to complain about is the lack of a chili oil, and a fly that was just so attracted to me. I really like the cube meat they gave me, I genuinely really liked the cube meat. It's perfectly proportioned and it actually has flavor to it rather than just filler meat. This place is alright, I respect the simple sign they have for the place.“
“Low-key spot that seems to be a locals favorite. The pho wasn't overpriced like San Francisco. Ordered the basic pho dac biet (large). The broth was good, the meat was kinda dried, and the portion size was good. Wanted to order the iced coffee, but we saw they were premade in the fridge. Well it isn't the end of the world.. just something we would've wanted fresh.Think there's an extra fee for using a credit card. I didn't see that mentioned anywhere so hoping I didn't miss it.“
“Definitely worth visiting. The food is not "exceptionally great" but it is cheap and such a classic and special Vietnamese "to go" spot that you'll be happy you went and glad to support such a local establishment.I ordered the fried rice (perfectly executed, clean, and delicious)The chicken leg (good but far from great in its lack of lemongrass flavor which would have been amazing)Chow fun (hard pass... Greasy and far inferior to the fluffy fried rice unless you really have a hankering for some noodles to go with your main)“
“All time favorite pho place I come here so often whenever I get out of work or whenever I crave a nice bowl of pho. They have great customer service they are always super welcoming and nice each time I come here. I love their chicken wings !! 10/10 fav spot ever !! (Pho Tai is my fav) :)“
“I would rate this a 3.5 but rounded up. The grilled pork banh mi was pretty good. A nice ratio of veggies:meat:bun. Definitely would get it again. The vermicelli bowl was quite disappointing. It had waaaay too much noodle & not enough fish sauce. Got grilled chicken on it but I would de-emphasize “grilled”. The cucumber was scarce, mostly green edges. The peanuts were very… basic. Got an iced coffee & was pretty good.“
“Good pho. Great customer service with a smile ☺️?. Easy to park and find. Fast and Fresh.Vegetarian options: Good selectionParking: Easy in and out with a big vanKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Very accurate“
“This spot was a place I went to every morning with my dad when I was in elementary school and it was so nostalgic stepping back in here still seeing OG's hanging out there drinking Vietnamese coffee. Simon took this place and leveled up the food, which I had high expectations for. He is so hospitable and made great conversation with me. I'm inspired by his motivation and drive to constantly better himself and his business.I was finally in town and had time to stop by for the first time to buy banh mi for my mom. I got her the banh mi xiu mai and when she ate it, she told me it was good. MY MOM ALMOST NEVER LIKES ANYTHING!! I tried some and y'all!!! She was right! If you're reading this, TRY THE BANH MI XIU MAI TODAY! I can't wait to come back again soon! Good job Simon, I'm so proud of you!“
“Ive been eating here for almost 3 years now, so here is my honest review. I love this place because it's a Family owned Business, it's clean and the service is always wonderful. I've never had any problems with my food either. Also this may not matter to most but since i order take out most of the time, they put my Pho is a bowl which is soooo convenient and just EXCELLENT. They're thinking of their customers who are on the go! Thank you“
“I Loved this place when it was TuTai3 and it took me really long to finally try something from this new place. I was really hoping that it'd be another Vietnamese restaurant. I was driving by and decided to try the grilled chicken Banh mi as requested by my 7 year old. We Love vietnamese food and I usually judge a good noodle place by looking at their menu and seeing if they have all the meats, but this place is clearly a quick eats, to-go spot so a sandwich it was. I appreciated that the guy that took my order asked if I had any questions and then when I ordered he asked if I wanted everything on there including the Pate. I know some people might want to skip that. The bread was nice and soft and the chicken was hot off the grill! Only took about 5 minutes. Very healthy portion of chicken and they didn't skimp on the veggies either. It bugs me when they don't put enough veggies in there. Like what am I supposed to do with 3 shreds of carrots and a half sprig of cilantro!? My son said it was the best Bank Mi he's ever had so we're definitely going back!“
“What a nice surprise to find a great pho spot. Don't be deterred by the surroundings as the food here is not to miss. The portions are very generous and the flavors are spot on. If you are a fan of lemon grass, get the #12. The "Standard Pho" #10 is your typical pho. What's makes it unique is you get to pick your style of noodles. I definitely will be back to try more of the menu. Service is prompt and there are plenty of seating. The place is also very clean.“
“This place is by far the best ever. We venture off and try other Pho restaurants, but then it reminds us why this place is our absolute favorite! No one compares to Pho Auntie 7. Amazing food. The freshness of this food hits my taste buds amazingly; they crave for this place ALWAYS! If you haven't tried this place, try it! You won't regret it. And if you do, there has to be something wrong with your taste buds. ? The atmosphere is nice and clean. Omg! They even wipe and clean all the sauce bottles and salt/pepper shakers at the table; they are never dirty and caked with dry sauce. This is an absolute PLUS because any other Viet place, I have to use napkins to wrap around the bottles so I don't touch other people's grossness. The staff is also friendly and great too. You know you come to a place a lot when they remember your face. I recommend everyone to try this and make it your favorite too!“
“First time here with my friend for pho and it was good, my friend and I enjoyed the pho that we ordered! They offer a good amount of food in the menu and even seafood boil! Their service is pretty quick with seating and serving the food. Ambiance is family friendly and their parking lot offers plenty of spots.“
“The foot here is top notch. I very much enjoyed every dish that I ordered, especially anything with garlic. I am only providing 4 stars because the portion to price ratio is off. Again, the taste is fantastic but each plate was really only enough food for a single person when most other Vietnamese or Asian restaurants tend to give heaping plates. Add in that each plate was $15+ and we ended up spending about $100 for two people with each having a cocktail.Another pro is they are pet friendly in the outdoor seating area. They went out of their way to make my family and pet welcome. Thanks!“
“Broth was great. Noodles great and generous portions. But the add on ingredients where sad :( no mint- no cilantro, smelly sprouts.BUT free tea. They take Apple Pay.Parking: It’s Oakland, be careful and park close by.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: A lot of ample seating and easy entrance“
“This place was delicious and the food here was great, this may have been the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I may have had to drive 7-8 hours to get here but it was all worth it, I would recommend this place to everyone because the French fries were also very good. This place serves the food very fast and it was absolutely delicious 5 stars and will come back again.“
“Chicken wings is on fire love how crispy and it wasn't overly greasy. Every bite was just enough, most places either give you not enough Ben sauce on it or way too much where it's over powering. Give the wings 5/5. The shrimp banh cot was another 5/5 crispy. Banh with lemon grass chicken is pretty darn good! Since I don't do dark meat often it's not bad. I prefer an all meat but the taste is all there. I give it a 4 out of 5 in terms of flavoring I wish the banh mi was a bit more crispy.“
“Pho Nation is an extremely good restaurant. They have a wide variety of foods available and a full bar.The food is pretty quick coming out even when they're busy. I love their rice plates. Highly recommendedParking: Only street parking but it is free most of the time the business is open“
“Since it very close to school’s depending on what time you go there can be a crowd. But the food is amazing and love the Vietnamese sandwiches and thai tea !! Family run very nice people!! Very fast service too !! Especially for to go orders. Go try this place out especially if you never had a Vietnamese sandwich.“
