Gluten-Free Restaurants near San Marino, CA

“This is honestly in my top two favorite pizza spots in all of Los Angeles, if not my top favorite. I usually go to the DTLA location, but this was my first time at the San Marino one. This neighborhood location is a lot prettier than DTLA with much easier free street parking right in front. The staff is friendly at both locations and everything is usually available very quickly. I’ve never had to wait longer than 15 minutes.

For this most recent visit I had to stop in on Sunday for their specialty which is the Mac & Cheese Pizza. It really hits the spot when you’re craving and honestly every single variant I’ve had here is great. One of my favorite parts is that you can order a whole pie or a slice in pretty much any version and they really do a great job with quality control and taste. I also love how huge the slices are. This location is more set up to go, they do have places to sit and eat inside, but it’s definitely designed more as a to go. I would highly recommend and really wish they would open a third location on the west side close to where I live.“

And Chef Amber runs the all the magic in the kitchen. My favorite dish is “Bone Marrow” - fried king mushroom oyster!

“Great spot! My mom is celiac and it’s rare (like never happens!) that she can find a gf donut. This spot is dedicated gluten free and she was soooo stoked to visit Hello Yr Welcome twice during her recent visit to LA. We got 3 donuts her first time in and 1/2 dozen the second (bc she loved them so much). They were all very flavorful and delicious!

Staff is super friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. Oh and the coffee is great. I got some delicious espresso / good flavor and not bitter - they know how to pull a shot ☕

Also worth noting that all the breakfast sandos and other items look delicious as well! But we were just focused on my moms rare opportunity to enjoy a donut

Worth getting here early as they do tend to sell out of some flavors by afternoon. We found there’s plenty of street parking in the surrounding area, even on the weekends.

“What an absolute gem of a find! I visited for the first time today—and to my absolute delight, just five minutes from my home, I found a real maritozzo con panna that transported me straight back to Rome! You have no idea how happy this made me.
If I could, I’d give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! If I may humbly offer one tiny, respectful suggestion from a passionate Roman heart: try making the cream (la panna) completely unsweetened. In Rome, we keep the whipped cream unsweetened because the light dusting of powdered sugar on top and the soft, sweet brioche bun already provide the perfect amount of sweetness.
At first glance, unsweetened cream might feel like it's missing something, but I promise you, it creates such a delicious balance that people will end up ordering two! Back home, I can easily polish off two in one sitting, whereas here I was full after one just from the extra sugar rush. (And you will save money on the sugar saved !)
Thank you for making such a wonderful place and bringing a taste of Italy so close to home. I can't wait to come back!“

“Wow. I was searching for goodies for a loved one with digestive sensitivities and found myself at Yvonne's Vegan Kitchen. We got to sample some cake and picked out a pre-made vanilla raspberry. A few minutes later, it was personalized. I decided to treat myself to a piece of ube loaf bread. I have tried many and this one finally did not disappoint. I was impressed. Worth the price of the years of hard work this bakery has put into specialty baking. 💜“

“This place is amazing! Great sandwiches, great service, and going on the weekend to get their cinnamon rolls is a must. Only thing to note, they close at 3pm NOT 4pm like it says on Google Maps. If you show up and it’s closed, be sure to check out all the other great things Sierra Madre has to offer!“

“Constellation is a jewel in both La Canada and Silver Lake. It’s one of a handful of really good coffee shops in LA. Their espresso is smooth but flavorful, perfect for that early AM wake up call. “So excited and proud Sugarbird finally has a storefront. My family and I have followed Chef & Owner Kei since it first started and only had regular priority mail delivery and pickup from a co-op location in Downtown LA. I stopped by after the Montrose Farmers Market, where Sugarbird was before and I believe still is for other Farmers Markets, and Kei herself was managing the store. She was nice and really excited to finally have her own storefront. I got a free tea, free clotted cream, the tea sandwich set, six scones (ube, lemon blueberry, matcha, fig & rosemary, passionfruit & earl grey) and shortbread cookies.“

“ok this is an unexpected gem… we walked in due to interest, but not really with an appetite for it. ended up trying their spicy crabmeat and a plain crepe… amazing… i was actually blown away by the flavor. usually i have to ask for a sauce, but this came with enough spicy mayo and the seasonings to make it taste perfect. the plain has an amazing flavor by its self, just delicious! we will absolutely be back, the menu is extensive and i’m intrigued by the sweet ones!“

“This place came to the rescue!!! The wedding cake I had made fell over on the long drive. It was a disaster!! Other bakeries near the wedding venue were already closed and others needed at least 48 hour notice… the wedding was happening NOW. I called Sonora Bakery in my final desperate attempt, explained the situation, sent them a picture of the cake and within minutes, they got to work. The cake was delicious and the wedding was saved. Thank you Sonora Bakery…. You have a customer for life!“

“The food was delicious. The lunch special was a dollar off and included tea. I had the Combo Pho. Meatballs, rare steak, tripe, brisket. The broth was savory and had some depth. Lighter on the cinnamon which was excellent. The wife had the loaded bun. Lemongrass chicken, pork sausage, shrimp proved too much protein for her. This bun had shredded red cabbage, bean sprouts, carrot, daikon, and of course basil and mint. Mint was light too so she enjoyed it. You order at the counter and they bring your food to you.“

“Fun clean sweet smelling place that you can see them preparing scrumptious desserts. Cookie price isn't worth it. I don't think there were prices so we got 2 cookies and later realized they were about $7 each. Not worth it! Cupcakes weren't cream cheese but icing which i liked the sweetness but others didn't.“
