“Got the chicken katsu dish. Katsu is very crisp, use thigh meat, sauce is good, habanero sauce is killer, some pieces of katsu mostly breading with how thin the meat got but a large portion and so I do not feel skimped on meat overall. Steamed cabbage and broccoli provided give a nice break to the grease. Mac is on par with l&l. Would eat here again“

“Went for lunch but skipped the specials since we were gravitating towards the barbecue already. Special Set A made for a very filling meal, which our server also grilled for us. All meats were high quality and went nicely with the wide variety of banchan provided. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu, but will make a point to ask which menu items are marinated just to double check. Super friendly staff, and a private parking lot rounded out a nice first experience here.

Takes me back to the days before LSD, long hair and psychedelic music., when surfers were renegades, teenagers raced on the Great Highway and rock and rock was recorded on 2 tracks.

I can customize my food by asking for nothing spicy... and they comply! However, I must say that I'm addicted to the Crab Fried Rice!!! I don't have to customize any of it. I was even brave enough to order the Tom Tom soup which is Hot and Sour soup. This soup is a tasty medicinal soup for any stomach issues or cold and flu issues. “I drove from Vallejo to try this place and boy was I disappointed. starting with the 90$ meal, the meat was so dry I could not even eat it The pulled pork tasted like sawdust, the ribs were dry,and the brisket and tri tip are horrible. the potato salad was very loose, and the green beans were burnt, had I lived in the area I would have brought it all back. fix the issues word of mouth can truly hurt your business. because I am writing this review on multiple sights.“

“A little overpriced, but what isn't. The food is always good. Portions are hit or miss. I was full on my last visit, and I like that they have a low carb option. I've had the pork, beef, and chicken and it's all good. Need to try the seafood some time. Self serve water is always a nice touch.

“I’m really happy you guys reopened but I’m upset. The macaroni salad is my favorite thing about this place. I don’t know who chaged the recipe but Change it back immediately or make it right. Too watery and too tangy. Tastes like Mayo soup.

“Great Chinese food with authentic taste. They have a hotel next door which is connected to the restaurant and they are open till midnight. If you want great Chinese kebab, noodles, rice dishes, seafood, and dumplings. This is the place to be! Food is cooked fast and they accept card and cash. Will be coming back for the authentic and delicious Chinese spot next to Berkeley!“

“I ordered 22 individual meals for a company lunch. The food was prepared, boxed, and ready to go in less than an hour. They made sure to write who's food belonged to which employee on their boxes, and went over my checklist with me more than once to make sure nothing had been missed.

My staff loved the food and I received many comments about how good it was. I would rate this business higher than a 5 if I could.

“TLDR: Generous portions, extraordinary value, food is well-made and what you'd expect for a Hawaiian BBQ

There is no way you're finishing a regular size BBQ or katsu plate in one sitting unless you just finished an Ironman. I thought I had a big appetite, so I attempted to finish a regular sized BBQ chicken plate in one sitting. I finished it by myself, but at the cost of significant pain and being unable to move for the next 3 hours. I was not hungry for another 15 hours.
That aside, the seafood and katsu are also great. Seating is somewhat limited as most people opt for takeout, but it's very clean inside. This restaurant definitely deserves a higher rating.“

“We just want to say that Kim and Phillip did a great job for our Thanksgiving dinner. We will definitely be going back for their barbecue pork feast at Christmas can’t wait if it’s as good as Thanksgiving was it’s going to be a hit with the family.“

The chicken is laying on a bed of rice. Prices are higher than Ono Hawaiian BBQ, and portions are slightly smaller. But it's delicious food and served fresh! 4-stars.“
