“Very friendly owner. Offered 5% discount on cash payments. We ordered 3 dishes. Kaokao chicken, char siu over rice, and beef brisket noodle soup. The star of the meal was the char siu over rice. We’ll reorder that for sure. The beef brisket’s soup was soy sauce forward, my husband enjoyed the noodle but it was a tad too soft for me. The kaokao chicken is very well cooked, moist chicken, but it was a confused dish imo, so it is not a dish we would reorder. Overall good tasting food, we’d come back for the char siu. The restaurant was very smokey, and it stuck to my body and clothes all day after. So I would not come here before going anywhere important, so you’ll smell of bbq.“

“Absolutely delectable and delicious food! The service was super fast and friendly. Manager John was so kind and made sure we were having a good time. They offered to cook for the table and also gave us the option to cook for ourselves, if we want to. We also got great tips and suggestions when we asked for guidance w the menu. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. The meat was amazing. Side dishes and sauces were plentiful. Can't wait to come again!“

“If you haven’t been here before, this will be your new favorite bbq spot in Oakland. They don’t cut corners and they do texas bbq justice. Juicy brisket, peppery pork ribs and snappy meat tubes are what keep me coming back.
Don’t sleep on the sides either! They’re light, refreshing and the perfect balance to their smoky offerings.“

“We went in 7/11 to watch Norway and England game and it was very fun. The food was delicious. I got the brisket sandwich and mmm mmm mmm it was TENDER. The service was wonderful. I want to genuinely thank the waitress who literally walked me to the bathroom so I wouldn’t have to face the throng of passionate fans. That was above and beyond and just very kind. Thank you. Go, England!“

“I ordered using Uber Eats.
We ordered Lemon Chicken, Chicken Katsu & Masubi and one other item. I clicked yes to include utensils and napkins and I even added in the notes please include utensils, chopsticks and napkins.
Since I am staying at a hotel these were needed. The hotel had no picnicware so my son and I walked to the store down the street to buy some. Got back to cold food that wasn’t in containers that could NOT be heated in the microwave and discovered they didn’t include soy sauce.
The Mac salad was perfect. The rice definitely needed soy sauce. The flavor of the lemon chicken was great even though it was room temp. The katsu lost its texture in the time it Took to get utensil unfortunately.
I’m not trying to be petty over utensil but it really made for an unfortunate experience.“

“So I really love this place I found it weird however that the owner upped the prices on the first day of school. It’s located directly across from a high school now, I get it the economy isn’t the best but raising it that say day def gave me the creeps“

“I'm not a fan of spicy food, but I am a fan of flavorful and delicious food! This place is the real deal, and worth EVERY dime spent. I can customize my food by asking for nothing spicy... and they comply! However, I must say that I'm addicted to the Crab Fried Rice!!! I don't have to customize any of it. I was even brave enough to order the Tom Tom soup which is Hot and Sour soup. This soup is a tasty medicinal soup for any stomach issues or cold and flu issues. What I like the most about this soup 🍲 is that my feet are dancing while I am basking in this flavorful dish You owe it to yourself to get wrapped up in the warmth and and flavorful aroma while healing your body and soul. I call this soup "A vacation in a bowl" and I challenge anyone to step up and try it, You'll thank me mm for the recommendation 😎👍. “This place has been here for years my mom had dinner here before I was born then she took me here for my 10th and 17th birthdays now I'm coming here to celebrate her's even though she's not around anymore. They have the best staff and food I have had and driving up you can smell the food I'm so happy it survived covid.“

“Went to dinner with a few of my lady friends after seeing a show in the city, this was the perfect ending to a phenomenal day. I had the crab cakes and they were delish, a couple of people in my group had the fried chicken/fried catfish combo and that looks delicious as well. I highly recommend Lizzy’s Cajun Cafe.“

“I’ve always ordered the teriyaki plate with Mac salad and did order something for others and this place makes the best Hawaiian teriyaki reminded me of the flavors back home on Hawaii and there is a Moku’s back home and I appreciate the food from Moku Berkeley! My go to when I’m craving for food back home!!“

“Some of the best BBQ I've had since moving to California. Not cheap but worth the money. Ribs are especially good. Great potato salad. The best BBQ sauce I've ever had. Worth the price of the food just for that sauce. Get it medium - just the right heat on it. We spent $100 on 5 hungry adults last time I was there. Enough to fill us up. Everybody loved it.“

“Moku is great hawaiian BBQ! BBQ chicken and the fish combo are is awesome! The chicken katsu is also tasty. I really appreciate how they let you sub your rice for extra macaroni or extra vegetables - other hawaiian BBQ joints do not allow substitutions.“
