“My friend recommended this place to me. The place is fairly simple and clean. You order at the counter. There are a few tables for you to dine in, but I find most people order to take out.I like the Simurgh kebab sandwich. The kebabs were delicious but what stood out for me was the Turkish bread. It's not like anything I've had before. It is grilled, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is probably my favorite sandwich bread now. They make them all from scratch.I've only been there twice, but it's a place I would return again.“

“This Korean market used to be in Downtown Oakland and a few years ago to moved to Montclair which is my neighborhood so I personally was happy it moved there.EM Deli has a wide range of Korean and Asian products ranging from meats, noodles, rices, some veggies and a variety of sauces and spices.There is some prepared cooked foods (fried rice, kimpap, etc.)They have a meat section which has Korean bbq grade cuts (thinly sliced steak, pork for hotpot or Korean bbq)“

“Friendly staff and lovely seating interior. Food was delicious with good wok fire. The sizzling seafood plate was flavorful and went well with jasmine rice. The red duck curry was delicious with sticky rice. Coconut pad Thai was very satisfying and great portion. I saw lots of take out orders getting delivered every several minutes at dinner time. Glad to find out about this restaurant as it stays open till 10 pm. Easy parking in its own lot. I will come back to try other dishes.“

“I stopped here out of curiosity to after getting items from Arizmendi and Los Cantaros Taqueria. I got the Honey Cake slice, chocolate baklava, and pistachio almond cookies (gluten free). Hatice the owner is very friendly and answered any questions I had. The Honey Cake was amazing, just the right amount of sweetness, not too much. I ate up the cake and baklava but shared the cookies. My family members said the cookies were great. I'll try to arrive before 12noon another time to get their breakfast items, like the egg in the hole. This will be one of my new go to places for food.“

“Donna provided a perfect meal for 40 guests to celebrate a wedding. Her food was served warm, portions were perfect for everyone. Her food recommendations were appreciated and enjoyed by all. Food arrived on time. Her assistance with serving addressing questions about food selection was appreciated. Her clean up after the meal was quiet and unobtrusive allowing the celebration to continue without interruption. I would definitely use her kitchen again“

“The cooking basics course is an absolute MUST for anyone learning to cook!!! I have always been incredibly nervous around cooking (re: could barely follow a recipe) and have spent my life living off of sandwiches and cereal... so I decided that it was time to finally learn. I live in a different state so when I found the virtual option for the basics series I was a bit apprehensive but enrolling was the BEST DECISION! Chef Olive is great at breaking down each dish to our level while still empowering us to be able to move away from recipes and create things we love. Every week turned out delicious and I now feel so much more confident in my abilities (I've actually started cooking for fun)! I cannot recommend this course enough!!!“

“GREAT FLAVOR, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PRICES.Been hunting around the East Bay for a couple of weeks now looking for that good Kefta And Doner experience, and I was really disappointed with a couple of the restaurants because their meat just didn't have any flavor. Really bland.Not here! Ordered the Kofte kebab plate, and it was absolutely delicious. Tender perfectly seasoned on fresh pita bread, a scoop of rice, both yogurt and hot sauce, and a dollop of Baba Ganoush.This is one of the best combination Middle Eastern plates I've had in the East bay, ever. I highly recommend this place. Clean interior, friendly staff, clean bathroom, and it easy to find location.“

“Jasmine Catering run by Chef Oded Hilu was amazing throughout our wedding planning process and even better on the day of. We got married at the Brazil Room, where Jasmine Catering is a preferred catering vendor for the venue. We did a taste testing with Oded about a year prior to the wedding. He made the tasting experience super personable and comfortable for my husband and I.As we planned the wedding, we had many questions about the day of and he was super fast and responsive up until the very end. He helped us choose the right menu for our guests. He helped us with table and chair set up.On the day of— his team was amazing! They were fast and efficient in setting everything up. They don’t have much time to set up and I was nervous hoping it would all be set up in time. But his team did it and they were very professional and helpful to our coordinator and her team.During the wedding, the staff was awesome. They were attentive, quick, and respectful to our guests. They made sure champagne and wine glasses were full all night. They made sure to use our bar decor and kept our guests happy with the bar all night. The food was amazing! Our guests are still talking about the amazing food especially the salad. lol!! I think about that balsamic dressing all the time. Haha.Oded, thank you for your hard work you contributed to our special day. We cannot thank you enough for all you and your team did for us. THANK YOU. “Lola's catered our birthday party this weekend. Easy to work with, flexible, on time and everything delivered with style. They also helped us out by supplying G, an outstanding bartender. Loved the chef, great guy. Our only regret was that we are so busy partying our guests ate all the paella. Hearing this, they offered to give us additional paella at the Kensington Farmers market the next day. Highly appreciate that touch.“

“This is a family owned business. So again. I love to support family businesses. I usually should get the premade breakfast burritos. The staff is very friendly. They do get busy, so you just need to be patient. Overall it's a nice ambiance. And their pastries are so good. If you ever the area give them a try and you won't be disappointed.“
