“My husband and I went to Patty's Place for our anniversary. We were thinking it was just your basic steak house. We were wrong. Nothing about Patty's is basic.I was shocked when we walked in. It has just enough elegance to enhance a cozy, and comfortable experience. The service was excellent and very friendly. Needless to say, the food was magnificent. I've never had side dishes be as delicious as the main meal. The potatoes and veggies were out of this world. ~ I can honestly say, " it was the best food I've ever eaten." This restaurant gets a 10 in my book.“

This intimate dining experience is a testament to ingredient-driven, technique-forward cooking, where flavors are both restrained, unpretentious, and deeply expressive. From the first bite, it was clear that Heritage excels at layering textures and flavors in unexpected ways. The meal began with an Amuse Bouche trio: a delicate prawn cracker topped with sweet Dungeness crab, a green leaf with another seafood salad that was to be eaten like a mini street taco, and balanced with the brightness and light crunch of pickled turnip. A seemingly simple couple of bites, but one that foreshadowed the precision and thoughtfulness of the courses to follow. To cleanse the palate, a mint tea infused with palo santo was served—a meditative interlude that was both refreshing and aromatic, setting the stage for the evening’s journey. The first official course, Crème Caviar, featured Russian Sturgeon Heritage Caviar and chive, a chilled preparation that was rich yet elegantly restrained. This was followed by Kanpachi Crudo, presented with carrot, ginger, and macédoine vegetables, offering a balance of clean ocean flavors against bright, vegetal undertones. Then came what I consider the star of the evening: a dish that fully captured the ethos of Heritage—Hen of the Woods Mushroom, topped in a “sunchoke stew” (crispy fried sunchoke) with fermented mushroom. For an additional $25, an indulgent shaving of black truffle took the dish to another level, transforming it into a sensory experience that evoked the deep, earthy satisfaction of foraging. The interplay of umami-rich elements made this course a masterpiece of textural and flavor contrast. The proteins that followed were executed with equal care. First, a perfectly prepared Rainbow Trout, sauted to perfection with a crispy layer of skin on one side, delicate pink flesh on the other, bathed in a delicate dashi and punctuated with bursts of smoked trout roe in a light creme sauce, which lent salinity and depth. Then, a 32-day dry-aged rib chop, a cut that can sometimes lean too “gamey” in the tradiinal steak house that cuts corners on a post aging trim, yet here was a revelation—tender, deeply beefy, but balanced. Accompanying the dish was sous vide endive, black garlic, and a shaving of Parmesan, which surprisingly lacked the usual sharpness, instead presenting a more rounded, delicate, nutty flavor. Desserts were a study in technique and balance. The first, a Grilled Strawberry with strawberry granita and Meyer lemon crème, was bright and refreshing, its layers revealing different expressions of cool and sweetness. Then came the Coco Craquelin, a delicate choux pastry filled with beurre noisette ganache and banana cremeux, meant to be eaten with the hands—a playful and interactive moment in the meal. Finally, a Sage Basque Cake, its subtle herbaceousness complemented by toasted hemp seeds and lemon curd, provided a grounding, crispy finish. Heritage is the kind of restaurant that doesn’t simply chase trends—it refines them into something personal, something intentional. The execution is confident but never showy, and the experience is paced with precision, allowing each dish to tell its own story. This is not just a meal—it’s a quiet, profound meditation on flavor, technique, and the land from which it all comes. Where other restaurant profess to be a true “Californian” style farm to table experience , Heritage is, without a doubt, a must-visit for anyone who seeks out truly exceptional dining in California.“

I Ordered Calamari for appetizers and Camarones a la Diabla both were amazing as well as a good portion of food. Calamari nice and crispy and the camarones a good enjoyable spice.“

“My husband and I went to Parker’s Lighthouse for dinner on a Friday night, the first time at this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the great service we received from our waiter and other waiters, no wait for a table, due to ample indoor and outdoor seating available, and the food was great. I wish I could remember our waiter’s name, he was in his 20’s, tall/lean, brunette, great personality, and great service. The only complaint I have is the hostess did not sit us at a great table originally, it took her three times to find a table with some kind of a view, there was plenty of seating options that had a partial or full view.“

It's been a while since I've been there, but I like the atmosphere and the taste is always the same.
Best food very cheap warm and delicious soup Thank you for the kind service of the elderly servers. We go often without worrying about my wallet.
I go about twice a month, and the salad for health is fresh, and the clam chowder soup is especially delicious.“

“Came here for a business dinner and was seated outside on a beautiful evening. Started off with a mix of oysters and the Cevichos. Both were excellent. Then the 5 of us went different directions for our mains, but my Squid Ink Linguini was top notch! Our server this evening was Chase K. He did excellent and we would love to come back here. “This place is the real deal. Easily one of the best fish and chips I've had in Orange County if not the best so far. You might convince yourself the near $30 price tag at places like santa monica seafood would give you better fish and chips but it's not the case. the batter here is crispy and much more delicate. not heavy and greasy like the beer battered options. I paid $12 for 3 giant pieces of fish. the value is fantastic and the quality is good. only complaints are that the inside can use a thorough dusting (don't look at the fan) and that the fries have potential to be a lot better. tbh if the fries resembled something closer to European chips I would pay another $10 for this plate happily.“

“Wow! What an incredible meal we had at Liv's. The seafood was so fresh and delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail with a unique fried horseradish sauce, crispy and light calamari, a charred gem wedge salad and a fantastic lobster roll stuffed full of juicy, delicious lobster. “Came here with a group of 4 on a Friday around 530. We were seated and attended to right away. The service was nice and the food was really good. We actually found that going alacart was cheaper then getting a combo on the menu. My mom shared a 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of green muscles, we added corn and sausage and like 2 ordered of garlic bread, plus we each had a margarita and our total was like 60 dollars as opposed to one combo with no drinks, and no garlic bread is like 60 dollars. Anyhow the flavors were so good we tried the butter garlic on the shrimp and the stinken sauce flavor on the muscles and everything was delicious! I recommend this place because it's also really close to (driving close that is) the long Beach exchange/ hanger for some walking around after you are nice and stuffed.“

“We ordered Dinner combo 9. We got our order after 15 minutes, which was quick. We tried the red snapper, and it's was good. The seasoning needs more spices, but the light coating was okay.The fried oysters were tasty, and the shrimp hit the spot. The sauces need to have more zing and tang to it. The fries had less salt but were not crispy enough. They have lots of fish to choose from. They also have chicken menu.Overall, this was a good place to order seafood and take out dinner. They don't have tables inside, so you have to eat in the car or take it home.“

“I have been ordering fresh uni from Maruhide for some time, and I have never been disappointed. They are at the mercy of elements and natural factors like spawning, which impact availability. However, when they do have it, it is far superior to anything I can get at my local Japanese markets.
Recently, I have noticed they are developing new products and offering other gourmet Japanese foods like A5 Japanese wagyu, uni pasta kits, caviar, and soba kits. I have tried most of these products and have been extremely satisfied, especially with the soba! In my opinion, it truly rivals the fresh soba I get at restaurants that make their noodles on-premise. It's much better than any dried brands I've tried. I highly recommend it!
I have always been impressed with the quality of their uni, and now their other products are equally as good. Maruhide has become my go-to for gourmet Japanese foods.
One more thing: delivery. It is always well packed and arrives overnight. I live locally to the processing plant so I could pick it up, but why bother when the packaging and delivery are so excellent?“
