“Honestly, the best German food I have ever had. We started with the goulash and the cream of broccoli soup. We knew we were in the right place! We ordered the meatloaf-special of the day, a house platter-mixed assortment of foods, and the sausage plate. Every bite was pure joy. The best sauerkraut ever. I miss it already. We had to try the desserts so we tried the apple custard and the black forest cake. Yummmm! Be sure to book a reservation, they did turn a family away. Don’t miss this gem. 💎“

“We had a great time wine tasting at Holman Ranch—friendly staff, a relaxing outdoor setting, and a delicious meat and cracker board. The five-wine flight, featuring both reds and whites, was well-presented and thoroughly enjoyable. We especially liked the Three Sisters Pinot Noir.“

“I’ve never heard of Puma Road wines before; I was walking with my dog and I was surprised that dogs are welcomed. The places had live music, very welcoming towards families. I simply tried one of their Pino Noirs which was ok. I decided to buy a bottle of their Tanat, which I just opened to today and it was outstanding…I definitely will purchase some more“

“Absolutely delightful atmosphere, tucked away from the busy shops in a little back street hideaway. Flavorful selection of all of Carmel valley’s best varietals. Has several Bordeaux blends, a Super Tuscan, and many single varietal bottles. Each wine is a prime example of a California terroir spin on the classics. The tasting was $35 for 5 heavy pour tastes. Highly recommend!“

“We came in on a saturday afternoon and were able to find a table right away! The Bar side of the restaurant has happy hour every day from 4-6pm and their small plates and pizzas were on the food list! Their cocktails were all 8 dollars and house wines 7 dollars. We ate and each had a drink for under 40 dollars which seems absurd in Carmel! Not only affordable but the food was to die for! We had the Truffle Gnocchi which was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had and the White Truffle Pie was so fresh and full of mushrooms and onions! Dipping the crust in the leftover gnocchi sauce put it over the edge! Isabel was our server and she was kind and quick with everything! It was a wonderful little stop in Carmel, just off Ocean Ave!“

“We did Welcome Drinks at Scratch for our wedding weekend. First off, the space is beautiful- very open with a few seating options- it was perfect for what we were looking for (open cocktail hour vibe). I would say we had about 70-100 guests and there was room for everyone to mingle and walk around. The wines were delicious and the charcuterie boards were great for our guests to graze on. The servers were very attentive and Sabrine and the team were awesome to coordinate with- they made everything so easy and straightforward. We will definitely be back!“

“This place was magical from the second we walked through the turquoise-colored door with its old fashioned door knob. We had no reservation & we were coming from Fieldwork brewing (so my hubby really needed to eat). They had no spots available (reservations are nearly necessary here on Fri. & Sat. they informed us later). However, they promptly set up backyard heater & provided blankets for our quickly provided outdoor seating. We ordered 2 shots of mezcal (cause we were outside & it was kinda cold), which the manager informed us they only served the best ;) They sent out it a waitperson who informed us “I’ll be taking care of you tonight.” Which turned out to be true from the service to dinner/dessert recommendations, and packing up our leftover beans to take home. Eventually, they moved us inside because of a cancelation. And I haven’t even started on the carefully crafted cocktails & food. So meticulously crafted, and presented. I rarely favor restaurant food over my own cooking ability, but I can confidently say their food is way better than my own lol. Again, everything was beautiful, perfect, & delicious! Also, I’m thinking the line for coffee & morning eats at their sister bakery Alta can attest to amazing, soon to be Monterey culinary fixture. Thank you for the memorable night & dinner Cella! “This is our second time eating at Il Tegamino, and both times it was absolutely delicious. It is definitely a step up from your basic Italian American cooking. The pacchieri in ragu sauce was the winner, but everyone enjoyed the other items we got. The service is very attentive. Both times we ate outside. But because the terrace is all enclosed and with the space heaters, we were perfectly comfortable, even at the end of January. This place is a hidden gem in a town of frequently overpriced and mediocre restaurants, catering to tourists. “
