“I haven't tried the entire menu, but I have tried a lot and so far everything is good. Fish tacos are fantastic, all the meat tacos are great too. Nachos is always a family favorite as well. Condiment bar is awesome with roasted chilis, onions, and lime. Their red and green salsa are so tastey as well. I frequent this small chain. They have daily specials too!“

“Came here for my Grandma’s 80th birthday. Was recommended this spot for Peking Duck by a friend and it did not disappoint. The duck meat was juicy and duck skin was crispy. The eggplant was flavorful while the soup was pretty refreshing. I thought the grilled eel was ok, not very strong in flavorful in comparison with the rest of the meal.

The staff were very friendly and food came out promptly (not much of a wait). I would come back again for the Peking Duck alone!“

“We came here on a whim looking for some good mariscos when we were traveling through LA from San Diego for my friends birthday. I can't rave enough about the food! The seafood was sooooo fresh and delicious! The presentation of the food as well. It was like a piece of art. We got to meet the owner's (family owned). They were so sweet and very attentive to your experience at the restaurant. I don't usually take photos of my food but please check out the photos so you can see the love that went into making each dish. We highly recommend this place if you are a foodie looking for some delicious mariscos!“

“We waited around 30 minutes for a table on a Sunday around 7pm. I would say overall that this food tasted very authentic and reminded me of what I had in China. However, it didn't suit my Americanized taste buds.

The pickled fish fillet dish had a strong white pepper flavor and the fish had skin on it. I prefer boneless skinless fillets, and while this fish was pretty tender, it wasn't amongst the varieties of fish fillet that I prefer. My husband really really loved the soup in this dish. I liked that you could choose two add-ons -- we got the bean curd which really absorbed the soup well, and the vermicelli noodles, which I prefer a bit thicker in this type of soup.

We also got the sizzling shrimp with vermicelli. I liked the garlic flavor and the shrimp was mostly tender. The noodles were a bit soft and oily, but otherwise this was my favorite dish.

The truffle fried rice was pretty good but oily. I liked the stir fried greens with garlic.

Overall I felt that the food was a bit heavy and the fish fillet was not quite my style. But again, it really reminded me of the food I had in China, so it seems very authentic!“

Or I just read "Chicken piccata so over-salted I hope the dog enjoys the leftovers tomorrow, I brought home most of the dish." Did they speak to their service? How could the restaurant learn that something was wrong when patrons even have their leftovers​ boxed to take home? As a dog owner,​ I want to take the writer and shake him or her really bad and say "You give over-salted food to your dog? Anyone with a bit of brain understands this is a horrible idea...​ I hope you agree.So If I had a say on this portal, I would offer just to see the ratings of my friends. “Crab Grabber in Pasadena exceeded my expectations! The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and packed with flavor. The garlic butter sauce was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous.

What really surprised me was how good the Chinese food was too. The roasted fish and beef were delicious, and everything tasted fresh and made to order. It's not often you find a place that does both seafood boils and Chinese dishes so well.

The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the service was fast. If you're looking for amazing seafood along with delicious Chinese food, Crab Grabber is definitely worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back!“

“This area of highland Park which is to say the stretch of North Figueroa Street from avenue 26 all the way to eagle Rock Boulevard is a little bit of a mariscos desert, other than the shrimp tacos at La Estrella. Sushi is definitely above average - there are so many good sushi restaurants in LA so tough competition. But within old town Pasadena area, this place is a definite must. So glad the location I was going to was closed because the nearest seafood was Mariscos el Zurdo. I saw they had 7 mares, so we said let's give it a try. Luckily we found parking in the small lot they share & found a table to eat because it sure got full & people waiting on a table.
I am kicking myself for having missed out on the delicious fish taco, shrimp hard shell taco, & agua chile tostada, all these years, but I will sure make up for it. The soup wasn't the best 7 mares i've had, but it was a big hearty bowl with crab legs that my soothed my mom's craving.

“One of the best garlic fish in LA County, Orange, Riverside, etc…. Delicious flavor and great size. Accompanied by salad and French fries; There is an option of beans and rice too. The place is very clean and tidy. The menu options are spectacular and I will surely return to try more. The service is very good too. We tried the Kwe Tia’s Goreng which is similar to pad see ew and Perkedel which is like a potato fritter, but our favorite was the Nasi Bungkus, which was a sampling of different curries on top of rice paired with fried chicken. It was so delicious, and the sambals on the side were really spicy, which was a nice surprise! The chef was very welcoming and friendly, and there is tons of space in the dining room to sit down and eat. I’ll definitely be coming back for takeout and try the noodle dishes!“

We ordered the sushi boat for 2 which came with thick cuts of sashimi, deep fried soft shelled crab, shrimp and veggie tempura, fried chicken, and teriyaki (we got the beef and chicken mix). There was so much food it was probably enough to serve 4 people!

They offer miso soup and edamame for the table when you get seated. The restaurant itself is pretty small but we came for a late dinner on Fri and was seated immediately. Sashimi is very fresh and portions were generous. Our friends really recommend the chirashi bowl so that’s what we’re gonna get next time we’re back. What a hidden gem of a restaurant! :)“

“Under new ownership and already such a difference. I stopped by last night and had a FANTASTIC meal. I ordered the snapper and catfish meal with two sides. The fish was tender and perfectly seasoned and the colored greens and string beans were amazing. Perfectly seasoned and nice and hot. They give you two sauces and two slices of bread as well if you want to make a sandwich. It’s inexpensive and the customer service was excellent. I can tell lots of love has already gone into this place and will as the new owners settle in. Looking forward to stopping here regularly!“
