“I was here 4/6 for the first time. I came here because I saw that people commented that they had gluten-free baked goods, and I am an instant fan. The good or bad thing for me is that I live over 100 miles from here...so, I will have more reasons to vist family in Santa Maria just to make a stop here. So, what I got was the peanut butter cookie (best I've ever had with or w/o wheat). I also the super food latte w/beet root and raw cocoa...yum❣ Next time I'm adding and espresso shot to it. Ibrought home two different slices of their bread too... that I shouldn't have but tried anyway... rye w/walnuts and hard sourdough. Both tasty good. 🤩🤗🥖☕🍪“

“Great owners and wonderful staff. The location is excellent and the food incredible... They are not a regular restaurant, so check the day you are going to see what's on the menu and if they are hosting a private event. I totally recommend Fridays for the Viking Sandwich and a honey ale. They have awesome wines as well. One of the best local spots for my wife and I. Be sure to stop by when in Solvang.“

“There was a mixup on our gingerbread house order. Melissa not only promptly refunded my money but included a bucket of Christmas cookies for our trouble. Mistakes happen and I am so impressed with the professional manner Melissa handled it. Solvang Bakery is a class act“

“Everything was great. We had the short rib, watermelon salad, green olives, and the soup of the day, which turned out to be cheeseburger soup. Surprisingly, it was really good. It even came with its own potato chips on top, which made it even more fun.
The food was fresh and well-balanced, and the service matched the quality. Nothing felt overdone or fussy, just solid flavors in a nice setting.
If you’re in Solvang and want a reliable, well-executed meal, Mad & Vin is a great choice. Also, get the soup if it’s cheeseburger day. Seriously!“

“We were recommended Paula's as a fan favorite for breakfast in downtown Solvang, so naturally we had to try it out. Clearly you could tell it was the spot to be because by the time we left, all indoor and patio seats on a chilly day were filled. They're known for their pancakes (obviously) - short stack were as expected (light, fluffy) and the Dutch thin pancakes were thin, but even bigger than the stack (so don't worry, you will have plenty of food). The half portion of bacon was two pieces that were good, but thinner than expected. Only recommendation - do not get a muffin (could be my mistake for even ordering that). It tasted odd/off - almost soapy or just fake banana flavor in the banana nut muffin. Hard to describe, but yeah, do not recommend. Otherwise, fast diner-style service. They work hard to get you fed and out the door.“

“We celebrated my moms 70th birthday at the River Grill. We had a beautiful sunset view of the course and valley mountains. The service was great and they were very welcoming to our family! They truly made my mom feel like the birthday queen.
The food was also delicious fresh off the grill. Thank you to the great staff at the River grill!“

“We stopped in here three times during our stay in Solvang. The first was for lunch - we had the Caprese Panini and Arugula Salad. The second time was to pick up a salad for a picnic. On our last visit, we bought French chocolates made by French chocolatier Jean-Michele Carré. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was great.“

“The food and service was good. Had the lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs. They were both really good the portions were good and enjoyed the ambiance. Not so much of an Italian feel inside more of a fancy feel inside. But everything was all really good.“

“Cafe Dolce is a wonderful place to enjoy. The owner Sammy is my favorite. His Cafe offers an amazing variety of fresh Baklava. The juice bar and protein shakes are over the top! If you want a real treat try the Mediterranean Panini. Everything here tastes crisp, clean, and fresh! You will love it!“

“Everything is wonderful here.. The owner of The Belgian Cafe is also the owner of Paula's Pancake House.. the difference is Paula's Pancake House served Danish pancakes and The Belgian Cafe served Belgian waffles.. Aside from this m the menus are identical.. I ordered the Danish omelette.. and ordered a side of tasted David rye bread.. DELICIOUS... paired the eye bread with blackberry marmalade.. plenty of indoor and outside seating.. I choose to dine outside and enjoy the fresh sea breeze“

“Chef David Cecchini truly outdid himself with the recent Cecco Supper Club event. From start to finish, this dining experience was nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail, from the carefully curated menu to the perfectly paired wines by Amber Rose Wines, reflected an incredible level of thought and skill. The evening began with a canapé reception and a crisp, elegant Rosé, setting the tone for the culinary journey ahead. The first course, Coquilles Saint Jacques, was an absolute delight—baked scallops in a creamy white wine sauce, beautifully gratinéed and paired perfectly with a bright Sauvignon Blanc. The flavors were rich, yet balanced, showcasing the chef’s expertise in French cuisine. The Warm Salad Niçoise that followed was a masterpiece. The seared tuna was cooked to perfection, complementing the tender fingerling potatoes, crisp haricots verts, and briny olives. It was a symphony of textures and flavors, enhanced by the accompanying Pinot Noir. The main course, Beef Bourguignon, featured tender short ribs in a deeply flavorful red wine reduction. Paired with a Grenache/Syrah blend, it was hearty, comforting, and elevated—a true celebration of rustic French cooking. To close the evening, the Cherry Clafoutis was pure perfection. The balance of tart Amarena cherries and the delicate custard-like cake was divine, especially when paired with Spanish coffee. It was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. Chef Cecchini’s attention to detail and passion for his craft were evident in every dish. This was not just a meal; it was a culinary experience that transported us to the heart of Provence. Highly recommend attending one of these events—you won’t regret it!“
