The special pumpkin ravioli was out of this world — we can’t stop talking about it and will probably be dreaming about this dish for the next week. You have to try it! We also had the lemon caper sole, which was equally delicious and perfectly prepared. As self-proclaimed foodies, our expectations were high, but Grapolo far exceeded every one of them. Our server Eric made the evening even more memorable with his warm and attentive service. The quaint ambiance transported us straight to Tuscany — it felt like dining at a family-run hillside restaurant, authentic and second to none. We will absolutely be back — no matter what. Grapolo is a must-visit in Santa Ynez!“

“We’ve been to Dos Carlitos several times and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time, whether sitting inside for dinner (3X) or outside for lunch (once). I’ve had several different dishes and each of them were delicious. The service is superb—professional and friendly. And the setting is comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. It’s a step above your average Mexican restaurant and the price reflects that. Drinks were delicious when I had them. I highly recommend!“

Almost everything was excellent (as it should be at that price point) but, since you asked by sending the email requesting a review, the carrots were underdone and rather underflavored. Everything else was wonderful. OK, maybe the asparagus should have been broken/cut shorter, as the ends were also a bit tough. But other than that! We enjoyed the visit and would return if we're in the area again. The fillet and the scallops were "melt in your mouth" good, the mashed potatoes as good as they get. The service was attentive and fast. (Maybe a bit "over-attentive" as I was asked if I was "done" 2 times after I had just cut a slice of my remaining steak and had it sitting on my fork... But the guy was nice, and it seemed like he was going out of his way - it wasn't his table - so, no fault.) The music - we could hear faint music - but it wasn't quite loud enough. Something soothing if just to cover conversations would have been better than playing music - maybe in another section? - that we couldn't identify. The creme brûlée was a fine finish and enough for two. So, overall, 4 or 4.5 maybe even 4.7 out of 5.“

“The venue itself is pretty nice. However. When there's special events, I think there should be more than one person serving. It took awhile for us to order or get our refills. I'm sure it's a much better service when it's not a special occasion. But, their biggest event is the Christmas parade time. They should have still been prepared. Their little patio area is very nice.“

The outdoor patio area was very peaceful and nice. Only concern was our servers lack of attentiveness. But she was very nice, so all good.“

“A lovely place with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and a big bonus for families with kids. We stopped by for a light breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. The cinnamon pastry was delicious, the coffee cake was more like an almond croissant rich, flaky, and full of flavor and the overnight oats were fresh, satisfying, and perfectly prepared.
Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere made us want to stay a little longer. The space itself is charming, comfortable, and very family-friendly.
The only slight disappointment was that they didn’t have the pretzel we were hoping to try. We arrived quite early, though, so that may have been the reason. In any case, it didn’t take away from an otherwise wonderful experience.

Their weekly Blue Plate Dinner specials on Thursday and Friday nights are what keep me coming back, time and again; on these nights, you can find the rarest of unicorns -- the Holy Trinity of low cost, high quality, and full portions! Pictured is the Roasted King Salmon from last week. The fillet and potatoes were perfectly cooked, everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious.
A full bar and frequent live music performances complete the experience.

“We tried China Panda for the first time last night to ring in the Chinese New Year a day early. Talk about a hidden gem! We had the pork and cheese fried wontons, BBQ pork fried rice, BBQ pork chow mein and the orange chicken. Everything was excellent! Along with the ambiance and service. Centrally located in Solvang. Parking is free in the street and in a several public parking lots within a block of the restaurant.

The food is delicious. See the menus for the offerings. I suspect most of the similar restaurants and owned by the same owner(s). Most of the menu items are the same, posted at the same price.

This restaurant stands out because it is brighter and the tables are spaced well. There are no booths that make the restaurant seem crowded and closed off. It's very comfortable.“
