“I started dining at Twohey’s in 1977. Today’s visit was nostalgic. I had a wonderful eggs Benedict breakfast. While I didn’t order the hot fudge sundae this time, I will next time for sure. And there will be a next time for sure“

“Delicious breakfast/brunch spot in the South Pasadena area. Breakfast burrito was a little greasy but delicious in its own right. Omelette could’ve been well done but didn’t stop the eggs from being nice and creamy. mint lemonades also are unique and tasty for the Pasadena heat around this time of the year.

Outside area is nice and spacious, plenty of shade and shrubbery all around to give it a welcoming atmosphere. Worth a visit in the area.“

“I came in today, for the first time, on Thursday, 04/10, around 3 PM. There were two patrons at the bar top and a cool, friendly bartender, Kiara, came out and took care of me. She was very warm, attentive, and easy to chat with. The place was clean, the bathroom was clean, chill vibe, the locals were friendly, and I felt welcomed. The happy hour prices are very fair and the happy hour nachos were so good! Shout out to chef Pancho! I was told he has been there for a very long time and I know why!

They are cash only (there is an ATM) although I understand you can start a tab with a matching ID. Just pay cash to make it easier for everyone involved. Clean bar top, clean bathroom, plenty of space inside, easy and plentiful parking, and it just seems like a cool place to check out, especially on the evenings and weekends. Once again, the service and food were amazing and the happy hour prices are totally legit!

I am a bar guy, I've been to plenty of bars, low end, upscale, and everything in between, and this place is on my list of places to come back to. Thanks again to Kiara (bartender) and Pancho (chef)! I'll be in again soon!“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!“

Last week, ordered a double ABC burger with avocado wrapped in lettuce. Was pretty good. Hardly could tell avocado was there. 4 stars

“Love a place where locals hang out ! Lots of options and everything sounded equally nice ! Our server was very professional and helpful and the dishes we go were well cooked and huge so we couldn't finish it all. A great starter is the firecracker shrimps - suggested by the young man who served us! Another great thing about the place is that it closes later than other places in the area so you can stay for drinks if you like.“

“I've been going to Yard House in Mission Valley for years and this is our first time at this location. They had a fairly busy turn out due to the fact that most diners were there waiting for the taping of America's Got Talent. We ordered 2 things and our food came quickly. The staff is polite, bathrooms are clean and food was good. You can park in the garage and they validate your parking.“

“Raymond 1886 was a cute gem in Pasadena. The wait staff was excellent and even gave us free dessert for the birthday we were celebrating! The food was pretty good, but pricey. We ordered the ribeye and truffle pasta. The drinks were really delicious as well and they even make their own ice. The ambiance was nice, the patio had cute dim lighting which made us feel as if we were inside. It was fairly nosy outside, but we could all hear each other talk. Overall I recommend the Raymond for a nice date night“

“Comfortable and easy to get to, The Mixx has great folks taking care of you - the best bartender in all of SoCal, Carlos, who will mix you any concoction (the drinks menu is quite extensive and Carlos does not disappoint). Owner Ed is always around to make sure you have a great time, too. Food is quite good (sweet potato fries is a personal favorite). And there is always some entertainment going on: comedy wednesdays (free!), tuesday salsa, live music on weekends. It’s a great place to hang and watch the game (we were there for Super Bowl) or just cill and enjoy music and the vibes.“

“Focaccia bread was freshly made and warm, and the greens of the salad also very fresh and crisp. The portobello mushroom in the mushroom sandwich was very flavorful. My only reservation is the sun dried tomato spread instead of actual sun dried tomatoes. Very healthy plant based choices.“

“My friend took me to this local favorite where everyone knows each. That was evident when multiple diners and staff greeted my friend. The excellent food included kobocha soup, pizza with sweet peppers, and braised short ribs. There's also a nice non-alcoholic cocktail selection as I was driving.“

“@holysaintsbistro is a gem in the wall. The quality of food coming out of their cozy, small kitchen is superb. Kudos to the chefs behind the line. I had the duck breast and lamb steak, and both were spectacular. The sauce the lamb was served with gave it just the slightest edge over the duck.

The only item that did not impress was the yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was smothered in seasoning that diminished any flavor of the fish and completely overpowered it.

Besides that, my dinner was exquisite.“

“This is my second time here and always met with amazing customer service. Bartender Jesus, and servers Maegan and Nicole are amazing, friendly, and accommodating. I enjoy that it is a team approach to make the customer experience pleasant. Hostess was friendly as well. The food is amazing, especially the fried chicken and shrimp tacos, have a lot of flavor.
