“Outstanding experience dining here. Our server was incredible, super knowledgeable, confident, and clearly not their first rodeo with gluten-free dining. They knew every single dish inside and out, proactively pointed out shared fryer cross-contamination details, and clearly walked us through which items were fully gluten-free outside of regular soy sauce (super helpful for anyone with different tolerance levels). Finding a spot where the front-of-house understands dietary nuances that well without making it feel like a hassle is rare. Fantastic food, top-tier service, and total peace of mind. “The grilled pork collar, the khao kha moo, is the dish that most regulars gravitate toward first, slow-cooked pork leg over rice with a dark, sweet braising sauce and a soft egg alongside, the kind of composed plate that operates at the intersection of comfort food and actual cooking. The fried pork skin served with a larb dipping sauce is the snack that arrived at the table first and was gone faster than anything else, the skin light and airy and the larb funky and herbaceous and the kind of thing that makes you understand why certain foods become obsessions. The pad see ew is the noodle dish most people know and want, and the version here is properly wok-charred with good smokiness in the flat rice noodles and a soy-egg combination that's been executed well rather than just thrown together. The papaya salad has a heat level that earns its reputation, bright and tart and genuinely spicy in a way that doesn't ease up. The mango sticky rice at the end is generous and properly made, the coconut milk soaked deep into the rice and the mango sweet and ripe in a way that seasonal sourcing makes possible.
The wine program here is notably good for a casual Thai restaurant, which is part of what makes the whole experience feel more considered than the room might suggest.“

“Fantastic roman style pizza. My new favorite style. Crispy on the bottom and ends, and a great flavor to the crust. Not to thick so it doesnt overload you with bread and the roman pinsa style of fermentation makes it eaiser to digest too! Great creative use of quality toppings and combinations different from many places. Excellent salads and of course nice wines that they can steer you to what may be to. your liking. Chartruitere board for 4 needed more than one type of cheese and would have benefited from one other meat besides mortadella and prosciutto. However all the ingredients were top notch. Inside is quite noisy and the outside patio is nice with it ringed by large plants so you dont see the street. Plus 3rd street here has almost no traffic. Music was a bit loud on the patio to compete with talking but not terrible. Service was very friendly but food came out on the slow side. Restaurant was packed on a saturday night at 6:15 so that may be why as the kitchen is small. But like in Rome, you shouldnt be in a rush when you eat. It's the Italian way. Not a huge menu but many items sounded really good so will need to try again. The tiramisu was great but diffferent. Served in a goblet with the cookies dusted on top it was like more of a pudding with the lady fingers. Other normal versions have more of the cake in layers than this but it was quite good. The pistachio ice cream was also really good too. But really this is one of the best pinsa style pizzas I have had, I have eaten them at many places! So if you come here you need to get the pizza!“

“Bacari Glendale: It is a beautiful place we have always wanted to go to. We took two friends for a belated birthday dinner (and as the staff realized it was just that, they even rewarded us with a delicious birthday dessert :-). Great service, nice ambiance, and delicious food - we had the bread (could have been a bit more for the $4,50), then shared the Mac & Cheese topped up with the pear and brie pizza that was the best.“

“After gym and resting in a bit, we headed over to Mignon on 6th Street for dinner. As it was Happy Hour from 4pm to 7pm, we had the red and white house wine each at $5. For $5, the price and quality is really quite good. We also had the ham and brie ($11) and prosciutto and butter ($11) sandwich. Tom enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich which had the fatty bits while Kate enjoyed the brie. We enjoyed the way our sandwiches were prepared – gourmet, with pickles on the side and sweet mustard. “Had the Wine flights ( bubbles and reds) and lunch. The food was freshly prepared with vegetarian options. The blue cheese was extraordinarily delicious and the English Chedder along with freshly prepared fig jam and pickled tomatoes were also delicious. The chef is for sure highly talented. The service was excellent. The bubble wines were very good with lots of taste and flavor. Some of the reds were not that good. Would not recommend this flight .“

“Romantic hidden wine and sardine bar with really great charcuterie tapas style food and chill vibes. Bread, cheese, and so many choices of tinned seafood. The seafood pates are unique and very tasty with fresh bread and butter. It’s our second time going there and we will go back again.“

“Overall, this was one of the best places I've eaten at in the last year, and I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a great dining experience.

The only downside I noticed was the restaurant's online presence. The website felt outdated, didn't offer online ordering, and the social media accounts weren't very active. As a tourist, this initially gave me the impression that the restaurant might not be very good. However, after visiting, I realized I couldn't have been more wrong. A modern, well-maintained website would better reflect the quality of the food and service and make a much stronger first impression on potential customers.“

“Backbone was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I started with the tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and had an amazing balance of flavors and textures. From there, I had the corn agnolotti, which was easily one of the highlights of the night. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the delicate, flavorful sauce complemented the sweetness of the corn beautifully.

For my main course, I had the steak and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor, while the fries were crispy and seriously addictive. Everything on the plate worked perfectly together.

I finished with key lime and scoop of coconut sorbet, which was just as impressive and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted every bit as good as it looked.

What made the experience even better were the people. Every employee I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The chef was also incredibly nice and personable, which added such a special touch to the evening. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they’re doing, both in the kitchen and in the way they treat their guests.

The attention to detail at Backbone really stood out to me. The atmosphere was stylish and inviting, the service was exceptional, and the entire meal flowed perfectly from one course to the next.

Backbone is absolutely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to. From the tuna tartare and corn agnolotti to the steak, dessert, and amazing hospitality, the entire experience was outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while and an easy five stars. Highly recommend!“

“Stumbled on this place while I was sucked into the reel vortex in the middle of the night on my 11-year Veganversary. The next day, we drove 40+ miles into LA and had the most amazing vegan meal, from appetizers to dessert. They have a full traditional menu as well as a full vegan menu. Welcoming and energetic vibe. Outstanding fun and friendly service (ask for Aria!) Food was highest quality and INSANELY delicious. Even parking is easy in the lot next door. Can’t wait to go back. “Once we were seated, I immediately noticed the incredible atmosphere of the restaurant. People were lively, chatting with each other and enjoying a good time. It was a happy sight to see.

The staff were passionate, and it genuinely seemed like they wanted to be there.

We ordered the lamb ragu, squid ink pasta, a side of broccolini, and the veal dish. Originally, we were only going to order the pasta and veal, but we found ourselves craving more food because of how delicious everything was. Not only did it taste amazing, but it also felt homemade, and the ingredients were extremely fresh.

I loved how both pastas had their own unique tomato flavors. The mashed potatoes served with the veal were incredibly creamy without being overwhelmingly buttery. The veal itself was extremely tender.

I had no idea what to expect when I walked into this wine bar but boy was I impressed! I’m vegan and I was just looking for a vegan place to eat and stumbled upon the wine bar and its sister French bakery. The service was amazing. The food was stellar and ambience is like so adorable! I honestly had no idea places like this existed, but I wish this place was down in San Diego!“

“Pizzana is a great example of casual fine dining. Their menu is excellent, and everything is made with a sense of high quality and culinary flair.

The Neapolitan-style pizzas are one of the best in SoCal. Ingredients offered are cultivated and paired with deliciousness in mind. The fresh ingredients shine quite well. Pastas are also prepared with the same attention to detail and won't disappoint.

Dining is best here, but I wouldn't have delivery if you're not close to any of their locations. Parking for this Silver Lake location is challenging; thus, plan accordingly.

“We decided to try the Wine Station for our first time and during Dine LA. Wow! What great find. It is an easy walk from where we live downtown. We had the Dine LA menu. Tuna and Burrata appetizers both fantastic. We ordered the Spaghetti Pesto and the Osso Bucco, again both great. The desserts were creme brulee and Tiarmisu. Awesome. The entire dining experience was fantastic. The service was friendly and great. We will definitely return. It just may become our new favorite place.“

“One of my favorite spots in LA!

I’m always craving their mazeh plate (especially in the sweltering summer, it’s so refreshing and tasty). I swear their smashed olives made the world stop the first time I tried them. Im OBSESSED with their torshi! I legit think about it several times a week.

Honestly everything is good- chicken, potatoes, sandwiches. Barbari bread is out of this world and I always get a few extra slices.

Great beverages too- albaloo spritz and Al’s Palmer are yummy and refreshing.

They have several desserts I’ve been meaning to try but the ferni and sholezard are too good I can’t not order them lol.

The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming and the perfect casual spot to catch up with friends.“
