“This place is a gem in SSF! We come here regularly about 2-3 times a month for the last 4 years because we love it so much! The ingredients are always fresh and great quality. The owner John is super friendly and hospitable as well as Yakup who regularly works there too. They also make homemade Turkish Delight that’s the best we’ve had. Please give this place a try and you will love it too!“

“Great wine, food and atmosphere. One salad is more than enough for two people. We got the Retsina wine which was off the hook, soft, velvety and delicious. We got the soup which was reminiscent of Tom Kha in a way and also delicious. Greek fries and lamb salad were also made just right and the food was brought out so quickly. The location is nice and romantic in a way. My wife and I enjoyed the experience very much. Thank you Souvla!“

“This was my first experience with frozen Greek yogurt and it tastes great! Lighter and more tart than normal soft serve. Ask them to go light on the salt and olive oil as it can be a bit too salty because of the big flakes of salt. Ended up with a bit puddle of olive oil at the bottom but didn't mind that as much since the oil was high quality and had a robust aromatic flavor. Highly recommend to try the frozen yogurt if you stop by.“

“Bahche made our day out on a warm sunny day, even better! We came to Field Works to watch the England vs. Croatia game, and since they are in partnership with Bahche, the food was brought straight to our table! Super fresh, warm and ready to munch by all at the table! The ceviche was super juicy and tasty, the shrimp, fish and octopus was absolutely delicious. The beef and chicken skewers had just the right marinate and grill marks that made us feel outdoors, as if they were grilled right beside us. All around excellent experience for myself my brother and our friends. Anybody visiting this area needs to visit Bahche, it’s super convenient to get to between El Camino and 101-S in a super nice renewed area of Hillsdale/San Mateo. Their baklava with ice cream topped off the amazing experience and it was to our liking. I must call out their attention to detail, check out my photo of the baklava. How they place it even for a to-go packaging! Awesome and well recommended!“

“This was the BEST Greek food I’ve ever had. The roast chicken was perfection, tender and full of flavour. The potatoes were exactly as described - JUICY. The spanakopita was the first time I’ve tried, I could eat those for days. And even the salad made my tastebuds smile.

“ONE word "EXCELLENT". Great menu, love the murals, quick service, clean and they even serve beer and wine. parking is tricky so have patience. Garlic Fries, Hummus, Combo Gyro Plate!“

Even though not too busy on a friday midday the food was fresh and more than filled me up for $15.

Had a minor issue that was resolved quickly and guys were super nice.

The atmosphere at the parklet setup was good too.

“We wanted a quick, healthy lunch. In our group, we had a dietary issue with fatty foods and a severe gluten allergy. The Cafe Elena team were wonderful. All our meals were really good. The lunch area was quiet with ample seating. We would eat there any time we were in the area.“

“Love coming to SF! Had a moment to grab a meal and heard of Nick's! Awesome food and atmosphere! Laid-back, no issues, Love Gyros! Ever since my time overseas in Europe I try and grab a gyro a few times a year and was excited this was around the corner from me here! “Cute, cozy, and delicious Mediterranean restaurant on Polk! The food and service were top notch. Our water glasses were always full, tables wiped down between courses, and friendly service.

The mixed meze platter is my favorite to start with, you get a little bit of everything! I’m a sucker for fries and their fries are sooo good, I don’t suggest sharing! lol

The chicken thigh skewer and beyti are my favorite entrees!

Highly recommend for girls night or date night! There’s also bar seating if you need to pop in and grab a bite to eat alone.“

“I smelled it before I got there no always looking for “the right food cooked by the right people!” I had a bowl with chicken which I could cut with a the plastic spoon 😍 with rice and lentils very flavorful too with the Israel salad all that flavor in one bowl was the best by far! My friend who’s vegan was very satisfied had a falafel bowl which she started eating as we walked down the street! She had smashed it by the time we made to the tables at Union Square. The food delicious the portions huge and the price right! On another note when we arrived they were out of rice and of course they made me some fresh very much appreciated ❤️“
