“Amazing shop, our favorite boba place and we come here weekly. The owner and staff are so friendly and always remember us. Our favorite drink is the Viva Mango it has plum flavoring and Tajin! The perfect salty/sweet flavoring, So good! I also recommend the Coconut Pandan. I always get 50% sweetness but my kids prefer full sweetness. All the drinks are very different, so if you try one that is not your favorite, visit again and try another. They are sure to have something you enjoy and you cannot beat the great customer service.“

“We decided to try take out from here for dinner tonight. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back.My husband and I both wanted garlic noodles and they were really good. He got them with shrimp and it was nice to see they had a lot of options: beef, chicken, veggies, tofu or plain. The portions were great too!The bulgogi fries were bomb too. Cheesy and flavorful with really nice grilled onions mixed in. I would definitely get these again.I was also impressed to see their big selection of boba teas and smoothies. I will definitely have to try those next time.A few year back this used to be the best little breakfast and lunch spot (Amy’s Cafe) and I was so sad when it closed. It’s nice to see that another good place is in there now at least.Vegetarian options: Looks like a lot of vegetarian options were availableParking: Free parking lot right in front. It does get packed on the weekends though.“

“As a Taiwanese person who grew up in boba land, I can tell you that the boba milk tea is pretty good. It's more towards milky end instead of rich tea flavor ones. Their original recipe is not too sweet so there's no point to adjust the sweetness. Or just ask the owner to make his favorite ratio. You should totally give it a try. (I cannot endorse other items as I just tried one product)“

“Their oolong tea is great, the staff is very friendly and some of them are Taiwanese so they have Chinese menu. Their tea jelly is good, one thing we like the most is they have barley as topping. Highly recommend to try their tea with barley.“
“This place never disappoints us! Amazing drinks, super friendly staff. My favorites are the green thai milk tea and the watermelon juice, so refreshing!! Despite many other boba shops around, this place has their own unique taste, they just… “hit” different (in the best way possible)“

“out of all the boba spots in the west covina area, guanyin is definitely my favorite! i've come here so many times and the atmosphere is very calm and a great spot to study or chat with friends the mango jade milk tea with boba is my GO-TO drink from here, it's so so good! i usually adjust the sweetness to 75% because the drinks tend to be a bit sweet for me at full sweetness. the boba is always chewy, warm, and perfectly sweet and the drinks never disappoint. definitely going to try more things off their menu!“

“Besteas Boba is pretty good, and they often have good deals. They have a large selection of options. Just be aware that many flavors can taste very artificial, so if you’re not into that it may not be the spot for you! The owners are very nice!“

“My absolute new favorite poke place. The make-your-own options are fantastic, and I am able to make the best poke I have every eaten, and I have tried MANY places. On top of that, I recently wanted to go, but forgot they close at 7:30p. I called at like 7:21p to confirm when they close (I am ~10 min away), and they offered to keep the place open for my wife and I to get over there. Great service from the two fellows that were there! Highly recommended!!!“

“This is definitely a 7-8 out of 10. A huge shoutout for keeping prices low! The taste was good. The workers are all very friendly. The food comes out fast. If you want better Pho, you'll have to check out some neighboring places. If you happen to be in Baldwin Park, this will work.“

“Came across this hidden gem while driving down from the valley! Great quality and flavored drinks and one of the best Matcha latte with brûlée and oreos. An absolute game-changer! They use ceremonial grade matcha straight from Japan. The earthy matcha flavor combined with their cream brûlée made it an unforgettable experience. Not to mention their service and attentiveness is top-notch.“

“Visited here 2 weeks ago.. the vibe is awesome. The location is tiny but a great use of space and great energy. Shout out to Cindy she is a rockstar! I think Monday nights with Mindy are the best kept secret at this place. Thanks for bringing joy and care into the world through painting (and Boba)... See you soon!“

“There was no line when we came, so we got the teas very quickly. The woman at the cashier was very friendly and communicable. She was very eager to tell us about all of the various teas the place has to offer, and we even tried some new and unusual teas. The menu is very extensive, and teas we tried were absolutely delicious.“
“I really wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately there were a few things that brought them down to 4 stars. First thing first, the drinks. I like to get the regular milk tea from these places to really assess their quality and taste. If you can get the basics right, you're a step ahead! So, got their Brown Sugar milk tea with boba and it was okay. Nothing spectacular. I want to give them another try because they have some very interesting flavors and options in their menu such as the Hokkaido creamer milk substitute and the Oreo series blended drinks. I give them props for their ingredients as you can watch them make the drinks right in front of you and they made everything fresh to order, no premixed teas or powders. Their decor and theme is quirky and fun. You can tell they put an effort to make the place catch your attention and everything looked clean and organized. Prices are reasonable and within the market value for this type of stuff. The ding for me was the limited seating inside and the smell. It's not nasty like "I need to get the H-E-double-hockey-sticks outta here!" type of smell, but definitely a bit off. I tried to come back and try another drink when I was waiting for my tacos from the other place next to them, but that smell threw me off again. A little ding for not having any snacks at all. Not even like cookies or prepackaged Japanese treats or something. Anyway, that's my take on this place.“

“I used to frequent Bambu growing up and all the ones in my area closed. I saw this spot next to the restaurant I was having dinner at and knew I was going to be getting dessert from here. If I just hadn't had a pasta dinner, I would have ordered a Chewy Pandan but I knew that would be too filling so I opted for the Jelly Coco. The Jelly Coco is coconut water based instead of coconut milk so it's more refreshing and lighter. It fruits (coconut, lychee, longan) and fun pandan and basil seed bits. I enjoyed my drink and would definitely be returning to try the Chewy Pandan. Service was quick! We were there arounf 30 minutes before closing and although there were a few people who ordered ahead of us, we still got our drinks fairly quick. The inside has very few seating so I would'nt hangout there for too long.“

“CHICHA San Chen's boba shop serves up an authentic taste of Taiwan with its premium oolong tea. From the first sip, you're transported to the tea fields of Taiwan with its rich and aromatic flavor. The boba itself is perfectly chewy, adding a delightful texture to each drink. With friendly service and a cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to satisfy your boba cravings. However, the taste of their Green Tea feels like the Oolong Tea to me.“

“I was in the same plaza and I was craving boba, so I decided to try this place out. The decoration is really cute and matches the aesthetics of their drinks. I came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. The cashier was friendly and answer all the questions I had about the drinks and the sweetness levels. I got the Blinking Passion Fruit Planet 50% with grass jelly. This was the perfect sweetness for me as the drink also came with popping boba. The total for one drink came out to be over $8, which I don't think it was worth it for a basic passion fruit green tea. My experience here was overall good, but not a go-to. They are open late which is a plus.“

“Visited for the first time. Great service, large space, free wifi. Fun decor and vibes. Got the lychee frosty and it was good ! Not too sweet and complimented the fries. Got a large fry (half bbq and half sour cream) . Great place to get your potato/fry fix and cool part is that they offer variations of fries (waffle/curly/tots/etc). Great place, would come again the next time I'm in the area!“

“Decided to treat myself to a milk tea after a run and looked up local boba shops in the area and came across Moo Tea. I got a regular milk tea with 50% sugar and less ice and it was good! The tea flavor was definitely present but not as strong as other places in the area. If you're a bit more sensitive towards sweetness in your drinks, I would stick with 25% as I found the 50% to be a bit too sweet for me. I came at around 4 PM on a Sunday and the store was empty so the service was undeniably quick. There's a kiosk to order from so you can take your time and look through the menu. Overall, a good experience and would come back!“

“This spot has been on my list to try for a while now and I was so glad that I finally got the chance to stop by! Podong is a uniquely Korean inspired boba shop with some of the most interesting drink concoctions. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots and you can find it next to the Gold's gym. Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a modern nostalgic street style type of interior. They do a great job of juxtaposing nostalgic and retro themes with modern and streetwear ones. As for their drinks, they have such a variety to choose from. Wifey and I opted for the Korean pear slush and the injeolmi slush and both were super refreshing with flavors uniquely Korean. The staff here are awesome and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try their other drinks next time we're in the area!“

“I loveee this tea place! It is tea forward, and has so many options. I try something new each time I am here. The toppings have great texture. My favorite combo so far is the golden phoenix oolong with oat milk, osthmanthus jelly, and lavender cream foam. It has been on my list since last year and so happy I finally was able to try it this year, so much that I've been 3 times and it is only March , LOL. Parking is covered lot, so yay it's easy. “Pretty solid boba spot. Got myself a Hokkaido milk tea and I wish I got a large! It was milky and creamy. My bestie got the lavender milk tea and didn't like it. Sadly I didn't either. “I had just landed from LAX and knew I wasn't going to survive the drive back home without food. I had heard about Bopomofo and had always wanted to try it, but never managed to make it out to the SGV. Luckily the Artesia location was on my drive home! Now I'm not a SoCal native but I'm able to distinguish an average boba spot from an above average one. I tried the guava matcha latte (Ba-La matcha) at 25% sweet and man it so tasty. They use ceremonial grade matcha which I think does make a difference (a little less bitter and more smooth). The boba was just *slightly* overcooked, but the drink itself was so good that I looked past it. What puts this boba spot above the rest, is the food. I ordered the honey walnut shrimp burger with a side of the veggie mapo tofu tots. Now I haven't been impressed by a meal from a fast-casual restaurant like this in so long. The patty was juicy and had big chunks of shrimp, but was still so light and crispy. The walnuts weren't in the patty, but rather a thin layer on top. I actually preferred this bc I'm not a huge fan of nuts, but I think it was a smart addition to add some texture variation. The sauce is a honey, wasabi, and yuzu mixture. I'm not usually a fan of wasabi but it's pretty understated and everything else was so well done, I didn't mind. It's all served on a toasted Kings Hawaiian bun which is already delicious on its own. Almost equally as impressive are the mapo tots. Tons of flavor, a decent amount of spice, and so much crunch! What more could you want in tater tots? I got the vegetarian version bc they typically have ground pork. I also saw that there's a vegan version. As with everything these days, their prices are kind of steep. My entire meal was $30+ tip, so be prepared to pay more than your average popcorn chicken and boba snack. But trust me, it's worth it. I know this place has a lot of hype bc of its connections to the AAPI Hollywood scene, but I think it deserves it if not for the food alone.“

“After bowling a couple games, I decided to stop in Cal Bowl Coffee Shop for a bite to eat. Went with something simple and healthy. A salad with the works. After placing my order (I was the only customer) I started wondering what was taking so long. Grab the salad out of the fridge and serve. Much to my surprise, the guy made the salad there on the spot. Fresh ingredients, including bacon, turkey, cheese, crisp fresh veggies and slices of egg! No pre-made salad sitting for days ... made there on the spot, and wow! Excellent. Seems everything is pretty much made this way. Definitely worth a short wait because the food and flavor is rewarding. AND my order was just a salad. LoL. Will be back to sample some of the special doughnuts and a cooked meal. Don't let the 'cafe' fool you, this is quality dinning.“

“We ordered food for a party and it was great. We arrived earlier than our scheduled pick up time and had to wait before getting the food. It came in those silver trays and was steady for transport. We got beef and broccoli, orange chicken, fried rice and noodles. The noodles are the thick orange noodles with vegetables. The egg rolls were delicious. The order also came with fortune cookies and almond cookies. I personally didn’t care for the almond cookies. The orange chicken was tasty as well as everything else.“
