“What a great addition to National City. My husband and I would often go to Mira Mesa for our Hotpot fix, but now we can just go to this neighborhood gem.

I tried the classic bone broth with a lot of seafood items and really enjoyed it. My soup also did have beef, which was good quality and delicious. For drinks, we enjoyed sugar free sparkling pamelo zest.

Ambience was cute and not to try hard. The space is great for small or large parties.

“Solid Chinese restaurant. The salt and pepper chicken wings were so good. The fry on the outside is just perfectly crunchy while the inside is piping, hot and juicy and perfect amount of salt and spice.
Definitely the star of the show here.

“So today my family wanted pick up stix and I didn't want to get pickup stix due to the odd interaction I had last time I went in. I have been going to this location for years and have never had any issue besides the last visit. There is a cashier that is an older gentleman who refuses to give extra sauce and will literally go back and forth over a couple sauce packets. I am buying for 3 people and the 2 siracha that he said is already in the bag is not enough. I decided oh well it probably will not be a thing today, but unfortunately the same guy today did it again. I asked him what the issue was and he stated that the sauce is in the bag already. I asked do I need to pay for extra sauce and if so I will, he stated no I don't need to then finally agreed to give me sauce. I have never ran into this situation ever at any restraunt where when I am paying for the meal I have to argue and ask several times for a couple extra packets of sauce. It's wild and unprofessional to think you need to argue with a customer over 4 siracha packets.“

We ordered the creamy bun (hot creamy lightly sweet excellent) bbq pork bun (a little sweet for my taste but still really good fluffy delicious), scallion pancake (could have had more scallion but it was really crispy!), sezchuan chili oil wonton (lightly spicy and numbing really good wonton with the peanut!) the dandan noodles (very nutty delicious noodles) and the Xiao long bao (delicious hot and the ginger was fresh) Was really pleased about the scan to order at the table! Really fast service too. Came in on a rainy cold day, left warm full and happy. Would definitely come back!“

“Such nice people working here. Went after work, I work nights so thats about lunch rush. Parking can be difficult at lunch but I got a good spot. Ordered chef lo mien to go. They made it fast & were so kind to add some deeelicious dumpling. So yummy, lots of protein & chewy yummy noodles. This will more than likely be my new noodle place.“

“On arrival there was no wait except the host had difficulty finding us a table, even though there were multiple empty tables. Food came out very quick, fresh, hot. Waitress was helpful - if you are a member online you get free refillable edamame. It was a little expensive but totally worth it!“

“I have been going to this place for the chicken vegetable soup, and after this order I did need to write a review. I love the broth and I mainly get it take out when feeling sick or for friend/family sick. But they went beyond this time, I’m used to mainly just broth but this order I got more chicken and vegetables. I was so happy for that, it made my day. I hope this just wasn’t a one time thing I do hope they keep serving this type of portion. I can’t wait to try the rest of the food and maybe see what it feels like dining in. The customer service was awesome, the two gentleman in the front were very polite and attentive. Sorry I did not have photos but I will be writing another review soon!“

“It's tradition now, to come and eat at Mandarin Beijing after trick or treating. However, after the great service and food we decided to make it our new favorite Chinese restaurant. The food is good!!! My husband loves their egg drop soup, you don't need to add anything to it, it's done just right. Next it's their salted pepper wings, they are big, crispy, and full of flavor. The service is amazing, everyone is so friendly and it's not just one person taking care of you, it's everyone. As soon as your drink is running low, someone is always asking if you need a refill. This will continue to be our after trick or treat place to come but also our salted pepper wing place for sure.“

“So this is like a ghost kitchen. Sort of. It’s a place you can get food, and there’s people behind the scenes, but there’s no a person in sight. Everything is done on Grubhub/UberEats/Doordash.
First time in person is wild for me. Just show your details from your phone to a camera and the door opens with your food when the app says your food is ready.

But as far as a “classic cheeseburgers” go, it’s a smash burger. No edits allowed (as least from what I saw)
That is what I got. And I gotta be honest. It’s one of the best smashed burgers I’ve ever had. The burgers are THIN and have that crispy laced edges. The sauce is insane, and the bread is perfect. Onions and pickles as well. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. And it’s a local place too. Which I love. Since it’s not a giant chain.“

“We were there in Christmas Day as a family tradition and it was great! Food was delicious. They were extremely busy but the employees worked hard to make sure we had plenty of drinks and appetizers. I counted 15+ to go orders while we were there and our food took maybe 15 minutes to come out. Super fresh and a great experience. The wings were amazing too!“

“We have eaten here multiple times and have never been disappointed. This time around we ordered 81. General Tao's Chicken, 37. Assorted Wonton Soup, and the 21. Egg Roll (4). My wife was feeling under the weather and the soup brightened her mood. She said it was exactly what she needed. The egg rolls were crisp and fresh. General Tao's Chicken was absolutely delicious. There are chilies in the dish. So, be aware if you are spice averse.

I highly recommend eating in person as well. It's a very nice restaurant and a great place to go for a midweek meal as well as special occasions.

“Gone here a few times, their lunch specials are really good
Pictures is the BBQ pork, Crean cheese Wontons, and honey walnut shrimp.
On another occasion I tried their Broccoli beef and orange chicken
All of their dishes thus far have been great.
Everything is affordable and proportional to the ammount of food you get.
They are Cash Only though, but there is an ATM in the liquor store next door.

“Went to Bistro City to try their Salt-n-Pepper Wings. Unlike most places, they heavily spice the batter the wings are fried in. It was too spicy for my liking. I left the wings for my co-workers and they said the wings were really good. So if you like spicy, you will love the wings.
I also got some orange chicken. It was good, but nothing I would make a special trip to get.“

The staff is friendly and efficient as they tend to the constant flow of customers that filled the humble establishment.
Some may take mark down this Cafe for its simplistic decor; but others, like myself, find it charming. And after trying their dishes, it only adds delight to find a nice whole in the wall that let's their dishes speak for themselves.
I recommend dining in because you will get a serving of their egg drop soup and it is absolutely worth trying. It's hearty flavor reminds you of the soup you wish you had on a cold day or when you're feeling under the weather.

First off the staff was professional and polite. Nice decore and restaurant was clean .
And there open from noon tell 9 pm.

I Stopped in to get some beef low main noodles .
They were very good . I usually get house low main. But I wanted to try the beef.

Called the order in and it took 20 minutes witch was fine because I was in spring valley . Head back to Julian so I was able to stop on the way.
I wll be back and I do recommend this restaurant.

Kung pao chicken was crispy and had a nice amount of heat. Pork and Chinese broccoli was good. Thai noodles with beef needs improvement and more beef.
